"This is a hostel, and I thought it was a mix of hostel and hotel, but it turned out to be all hostel rooms. The facilities are basic and limited. The four-person room I booked wasn't available, so I got a free upgrade to a six-person room, which just meant an extra bunk bed. It's not bad, just not what I expected. If you're okay with hostels, then it's fine. The location is excellent, very convenient for transport. It's close to Venezia Mestre train station, just a ten-minute walk to get inside."

"We had a lovely 3 nights stay in this hotel. Breakfast was great and beyond our expectation. Staff were friendly and Matti stood out being so kind and helpful with all our inquiries. Facilities was good enough for our needs. Location was really excellent just walkable to St Mark's Basilica & its nearby attractions & water transportations to other pride of Venice. "The hotel is a bit far from the main pier, it takes 10 or 20 minutes to walk, and you have to wait by bus, which is not very frequent. There is a close pier but not commonly used so it is not useful. The breakfast was good and the waiters were very courteous, worthy of praise! Instead, the person who should be the owner of the house at check-in is average. Room booked for 3 days, no hot water the next morning! Take a cold shower! It's cold to sick 😑 The photos of the room are too beautiful 😅"

"Excellent hotel. Comfortable room, everything you need is there, cleaning was done every day. The location is close to bus stops and trains, you can get to the center of Venice. I was there in July, when the weather was very hot, so I really liked the air conditioning in the room, it was nice to come back to. But a blanket would not fit."

"The staff are seriously amazing in both the hotel and restaurant. It doesn't have the flashiest decor, but the bed was comfortable, the breakfast simple but good quality. My single bathroom was small and cramped but still worked fine. Overall I would definitely return and recommend as the location was perfect...a max 10 minute walk from all the major attractions. The pizza in the restaurant was one of the best I ever had and big so I returned for my 2nd night."

GGuest UserVery friendly staff, very close to Mestre FS. The receptionist is ready all the time. They have locker storage but need padlock (bring your own or buy from them for €6). Optional breakfast for 8.5€ when check in or 9.5€ after check in. Facilities were satisfactory.

Our room was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed. The staff, especially at the front desk, were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great local tips. Breakfast had a fantastic selection, fresh and tasty. Hotel was very private away from the main san Marco attractions, but very easy to get the via the hilton hotel shuttle boat. Everything was so well thought out and highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

YYunyanThe hotel is about 5-8 mins walk from the Mestre station which is convenient. There's an Asian supermarket nearby and opens until late, it is easy to grab cold drinks and snacks (we visited in June with heat wave in Italy). The hotel has a fitness centre which my husband loves it. If you would like to visit the main island, it needs to take a train from Mestre station to Santa Lucia station for about 10 mins. Unless you have the Trenitalia smartphone app to buy the train ticket online (Italo train does not run this route, Trainline app requires a relatively high handling charge), need to line up at the vending machine to buy the train tickets. There's a big restaurant opposite to the hotel which provides all day dining from breakfast to gelato. There are a few bus routes from Mestre to the airport, all stops are near to the hotel, you could choose the one with the right budget and duration. Be reminded to register to waive the Venice access fee (EUR5.00) if you plan to visit the main island during peak days, check with the hotel for details.

GGuest UserIt was nice to be in a new hotel that is has well designed rooms, its just a little small to fully open a large suitcase. There are machines to fill your water bottle with cold water on each floor. The free breakfast is the best free breakfast that I have ever experienced in a Western country. There is the usual American breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, delicious has browns, cereal, bread but also delicious pastries...the buttery croissant is as good as any that I've ever tasted. Also lunch meats, fruits, vegetables. Machines that make cappuccino, latte, etc. , waffle maker. The granola even has chunks of hazelnuts! Very close to the water bus...Take this boat #1 or 2 headed back toward Piazzale Roma to get to the main part of Venice. From the airport take the ACTV or ATVO bus for 10 Euros to the bus stop called Piazzale Roma. To get to the hotel take the People Mover (Monorail) from the bus stop name Piazzale Roma to the 2nd and last stop that is a block from the hotel... only about 1.55 Euro and just tap your cc or phone.

It offers incredible value and fantastic facilities, making it a great choice for travelers on a budget. The Accommodation: Think of the rooms as clean, modern wooden cabins. They are compact and very basic – essentially a ”wooden box” as described, but they have the essential: a comfortable bed, a roof, and a powerful air conditioner. The cleaning is provided once a week, which is perfect for longer stays. The Resort & USP: The Amazing Pool Complex This is where the hotel truly shines. The property is massive and feels like a resort. The centrepiece is the huge, fantastic swimming pool, which is easily the hotel's Unique Selling Point (USP). It’s a major plus for families, as there's a dedicated area for children, and for adults looking to cool off and relax after a long day of sightseeing in crowded Venice. The overall atmosphere and interior landscaping of the hotel are really beautiful. It's green, well-maintained, and has a great vibe that makes you forget you're just outside a major city. Food & Drink There is an on-site restaurant where you can buy affordable meals, snacks, and drinks. A key point to note: there is no room service. The practical approach is to grab your food and take it back to enjoy on your patio or in your room. Also, be aware that coffee sachets are not provided in the room. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend bringing your own or buying some at the reception/restaurant. Location & Connectivity The location is practical for accessing Venice without paying premium prices. · Shuttle Service: The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle bus to Tronchetto (the gateway to Venice's water transport) every 30 minutes for a reasonable €5 return trip. · Walking to Venice Mestre: A major discovery was that the Venezia Mestre train station is absolutely within walking distance (about 1.9km or 20-25 minutes). The walk is very safe, even early in the morning (we walked at 5 AM without any issues). This is a huge money-saver for getting trains to Venice Santa Lucia or other cities. Overall, the Hu Venezia Camping Hotel offers outstanding value for money. Get access to a fantastic resort-style pool and easy connections to Venice.

Yyangling88Opted for an outer island stay in Venice, and Plaza Hotel Mestre is directly opposite Mestre train station. It seemed quite popular. Check-in and check-out were smooth; we arrived at noon and were given our room right away. The room was spacious and comfortable, with two 1.5-meter beds and cozy bedding, plus all the basic amenities. The towels were clean, and disposable slippers were provided, though the toiletries were basic. Our street-facing room had a bit of noise at night, but it was tolerable. There's an elevator for convenience. The Western breakfast was filling, with delicious bacon, and the coffee machine offered hot milk and hot water, perfect for those with thermos flasks to refill. Bus No. 2 right outside the hotel made getting to and from the island very convenient. Around the hotel, there's a Chinese supermarket and a Sichuan restaurant that were surprisingly good, affordable, and without any unpleasant surprises. I'd highly recommend this hotel for independent travelers. Venice is truly beautiful! 👍

Although it's rated as a three-star property, keep in mind that it’s three stars in Venice—which is definitely not the same as a three-star elsewhere. The charm and quality here exceeded our expectations. You won’t find a lot of reviews about this hotel, but I did come across a YouTube vlog by a mother who shared her family stay here. She said it was a really good choice—and she turned out to be absolutely right! We booked a Prestige Room with Canal View and specifically requested Room 101, which we saw on TikTok or YouTube (can't recall exactly where). The photos already impressed us, but the reality was even better. The ceiling was much higher than expected, which gave the room a beautiful, airy feel. The hotel still shows older pictures online, with an outdated TV, but we were happy to find a newer TV already installed. The amenities were excellent—truly some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel of this category. Breakfast was on the smaller side, but absolutely sufficient. The cakes and pastries were quite decent, and having them in such a beautiful, old-style interior made it feel like we were stepping back in time—in the best way possible. A huge shoutout to the staff, who were all genuinely kind and accommodating. We felt their hospitality in even the smallest gestures, and it was very much appreciated. Lastly, the location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, close to everything. Being so near the heart of Venice made it easy to go out and explore, then return to rest and recharge. It's also conveniently close to shopping areas, which is a nice bonus. All in all, this hotel was a hidden gem. If you're looking for a stay that combines charm, comfort, location, and authentic Venetian vibes, this is a fantastic choice. That mother on YouTube was right—it really is a great choice!

GGuest UserI received a message from the store in advance, explaining the route in detail. Take bus No. 2 from the train station and get off at the stop before the Riya Tow Bridge. After getting off the bus, follow the instructions and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. Go to the second floor to complete the check-in formalities and then work. Staff took 10 minutes to walk to the apartment. Our room is on the second floor, with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and a washing machine. The apartment is not in a busy area and is very quiet. It's a few minutes' walk to the river, very convenient. There is a market by the river in the morning where you can buy ingredients, and the seafood is fresh and cheap. Although prices are high in Venice, it is very cheap to buy water and food from supermarkets and markets.

AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
