Location is good for getting around Brisbane cbd, but quite a bit of traffic noise at night. Bathroom had a smell that I think was coming from the drain. Apart from the noise and smell the apartment was great. The fitness facilities were excellent

We were so tired from travelling and the staff accommodated our request the best they could. They assisted us by storing our things before check in so we can roam freely and sent us a message when our room is finally ready for check in. They gave clear instructions as to what to do after office hours.

Excellent Hotel with Great Location and Staff!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic: just a 3-minute walk from the railway station, and close to the embankment, the city hall, and many shops and cafes. My standard room was spacious and quiet with a courtyard view.
The reception staff were very friendly and efficiently solved any questions we had. A great addition is the very cozy bar-pub on the first floor – perfect for a snack, a drink, or meeting friends. Highly recommended!

The reception team was super friendly and helpful. Since we were traveling with a campervan, it was very difficult to find accommodation near the city where we could park our van. After consulting with reception, we were able to park our van safely in front of the garage entrance. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and it's about a 15-minute drive into town. Highly recommended; we even stayed an extra night :).

The location is a major plus, very close to Central Station (within walking distance) and not far from the long-distance bus terminal (a $7-8 Didi ride). It's also quite convenient for shopping in the city.
The service was decent. There was a Chinese-speaking front desk staff during the day, though I'm not sure if they spoke Mandarin as we communicated entirely in English. In the evenings, the front desk was staffed by Indian colleagues, who were also good, just spoke a bit fast. Their attitude was very friendly.
Breakfast was a buffet, and the offerings varied slightly each day. Items were replenished fairly quickly, though the staff were quite busy, making communication not always easy.
Overall, it offers good value for money.
Toothbrushes and slippers were not provided, but toiletries were. For charging, only USB and Australian plugs were available.
Guests come from all over the world, with a good number from Taiwan and Korea. Hope this review helps!

This hotel has consistently been one of my favourite budget-friendly places to stay. The rooms are always clean and well-maintained, which makes the stay very comfortable. Its central location is a huge plus, as it’s within easy walking distance to shops and surrounded by a variety of restaurants and cafés, so there’s never a shortage of dining options. Despite being so conveniently located, it still manages to remain reasonably priced, which makes it excellent value for money compared to other hotels in the area. Overall, it’s reliable, convenient, and offers everything I look for in a budget hotel, which is why I keep coming back whenever I’m in town.

The hotel's location is great, but the room size is quite small, making it more suitable for business travelers or couples on a getaway. The chandelier in the room is positioned very low, and I bumped my head many, many times. However, I must commend the hotel staff for their incredibly attentive service, especially a Chinese female employee with silver-white hair (I forgot to ask her name) 👍

The Meriton Hotel's location isn't convenient at all. Walking back from the CBD means going through a park and then up a hill, which isn't a pleasant stroll.
Parking is a major drawback and a huge hassle. Street parking is only free after 7 PM, and during the day, it's an exorbitant AU$6.50 per hour. The hotel's own parking costs AU$25 per day, but the underground garage design is terrible – narrow ramps and numerous pillars make it very easy to scrape your car.
It's especially unsuitable for Chinese new drivers who are visiting Australia for the first time and driving right-hand drive cars to navigate the basement. Even the spots closest to the elevator are often empty because they require backing in.
If your car isn't fully insured, I strongly advise against parking here. Car repairs in Australia are incredibly expensive; even a minor scrape could cost more than your entire trip. This is definitely the biggest downside and the most unrecommended aspect of this hotel.
If you're looking to explore Brisbane city and want convenient transport and parking, there's absolutely no need to choose this hotel. You'd be much better off picking a hotel in the suburbs not far from the city, which will offer far better value and convenience.

Great
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! It's very close to the train station, bus station, and ferry terminal, and just a 3-minute walk to South Bank Park.
Service: I really have to complain about the service. I booked for four nights, and on one of those days, the room wasn't cleaned, even after I specifically reminded the front desk. The cleaning generally was quite sloppy; tea-stained cups weren't replaced, with tea stains clearly visible, and the bathroom faucet was covered in water marks. We were quite surprised to find such service and hygiene standards in a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast is à la carte with limited portions, one Western-style breakfast per person, which isn't really suitable for Chinese palates. We asked the hotel if we could cancel breakfast for the last two days, and they replied that it wasn't an issue for the hotel, but since we booked online, we'd need to coordinate with the third-party booking site. Although Trip.com actively tried to mediate, the hotel still refused. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to Chinese travelers.
GGuest UserThe kitchen facilities are great; we were able to cook our own steaks, and they were tender and delicious! The area feels safe and peaceful. It's just a walk over the bridge to North Brisbane, and the Queen Street Mall is bustling and lively. It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to the Gold Coast by train with a transfer, perfect for enjoying the summer sun and waves!
GGuest UserThe apartment is well located, it was modern, very clean and with all services. All the staff were very nice and friendly with me, super helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Swimming Pool not so big but good enough for a week.
And you can enjoy the gym room.
Everything was walkable in here. What a wonderful stay!
GGuest UserEvery year when I visit my relatives, I usually stay here. This time I booked a one-bedroom suite, which was quite spacious. Luckily, it wasn't a corner room near the pool and BBQ area. I always choose this hotel because it's super convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. The facilities are complete, it's clean and hygienic, and the service is good too. The light bulb in the living room wasn't working, and after reporting it to the front desk, someone came to replace it right away. The only issue was the dishwasher kept showing an error code. I reported it on the 3rd day of my stay, but no one came to fix it by the 13th day when I checked out. However, overall, I'm still quite satisfied and will choose to stay here again next time.
GGuest UserOne of the best apartments at this area, but a bit pricey, the room with full equipped kitchen, cooking electrical stove, spoon, plate, pot, washing machine, dryer. Great corridors view.
GGLGLThe hotel is between South Brisbane Station and South Bank Station, and within walking distance to the South Bank Parklands. There are a number of restaurants around but seems mostly for dinner and drinks. Other than that, there are no shopping malls or nearby supermarkets except at South Bank Station and two convenience stores selling mostly snacks. There was no early check-in, and upon check-in the bed was obviously slept in before and a call to guest services brought the housekeeper who kindly changed the bedsheets, blanket and pillow covers. However the body cleanser ran out within the day and was not topped up during the next day's housekeeping and hair was not really cleaned up. Hotel breakfast at the ground floor restaurant is on ordering basis and not buffet style.
GGuest UserWe are visiting from the UK, this hotel is a very comfortable place to stay while seeing Brisbane. Also plenty of useful amenities if you need to be self sufficient, and grocery shops within five minutes walking. The location is excellent too for walking around to see the main attractions like Wheel of Brisbane. The only minor issue was related to parking however the next day Jade at reception resolved it to our satisfaction. We look forward to staying here again on a second visit.
GGuest UserIt was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site.
Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in.
Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in.
Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think.
I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist.
Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!)
I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house)
So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one.
Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit.
We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have.
If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.
HHAIHONGThe apartment is new, the kitchen and other facilities are complete, there are coles nearby to buy things to cook for themselves. It ’s just that the 407 room we arranged is facing the railway. It ’s a bit noisy to open the balcony door. The door is soundproof when closed.
Zzhangmin1985It costs more than 500 yuan a night. It is equipped with air conditioning, a hot water kettle, two beds, one large and one small. Parking is free. Breakfast is 20 Australian dollars per person. It is quite satisfactory. The only exception is that there is no washing machine or dryer. The hotel is not cleaned every day during your stay. , but shampoo, shower gel, etc. can be provided
