Well-located hotel, close to the airport, facing the Boa Viagem waterfront, clean facilities, pleasant pool area, fully equipped gym, polite and helpful staff, as well as a wonderful breakfast full of options for all tastes. I recommend it.

O Mar Hotel faz jus ao preço que cobra. Sem dúvidas é uma das melhores acomodações que você vai encontrar no Recife. Acredito que também tenha o melhor café da manhã e os melhores serviços. Para quem está chegando ou saindo do aeroporto, ele também é bem rápido de chegar e sair. O único ponto negativo que vejo foi an internet, que poderia ser um pouco mais rápida e com melhor sinal.

Só fiquei 01 noite por conta de conexão. Bem localizado para o que eu precisava (próximo ao aeroporto), não tive tempo de tomar café, quarto pequeno e simples. Bom atendimento. Para a minha necessidade, tudo certo.

The front desk has English service, belonging to a four-star hotel, downstairs pool and spa room, there is a 24-hour restaurant inside the hotel, the bar is very rich, often there are flight attendants and teams.

The accommodation itself was good. The breakfast is very simple and has little variety. I ordered 2 meals, the first one came with the chicken parmigiana fillet almost completely raw, the other meal was good. The room hygiene is the best I have traveled to Brazil so far, the dinner is very good, the price is reasonable, and the music is very pleasant. When I finally left the hotel, the hotel said that the airport was free, but the driver had to give me money. I didn't have change at the time and didn't give it. He was very unhappy. I stayed here for the rest of the night after my 3am flight arrival in REC, almost as close as an airport hotel but much nicer! 24h check-in, very nice breakfast buffet 6-10 am (included in room rate), and a wonderful sea view (sun rise!) were perfect. Room, bathroom were very good value for money.

The hotel is a very old but comfortable and excellent location. Two negative points The bathroom waste is swinging, it must be opened by the hand, or it is without a cap or on the pedal, I soon took the cap not by the hand. The guests smoke at the hotel's entrance door, bothering others and no officials do anything, nor ask them to move away.

The Vela Branca hotel, part of the Andrade chain, offers good value for money, but some important aspects need to be improved. The apartments are cleaned satisfactorily, but the outdoor areas leave something to be desired (see photos attached). The building's security is another aspect that needs to be improved, because many homeless people hang out around the hotel, but there is no security professional in the vicinity or at the reception, which makes guests feel insecure and afraid.
