Hotels near North District, Taichung

The room was a nice size for a family of four and felt comfortable without being cramped. The bathroom was a highlight, with good water pressure and the option of both a standing shower and a bathtub, which was very convenient. The location is great — Yizhong Night Market is nearby, and there are many shops and eateries just downstairs, making it easy to get around and find food. On the downside, the hotel does not provide free parking for some room bookings, which may be inconvenient for guests with a car. Basement carpark is shared with public and quite costly to park whole night.

Great hotel for a good price. Everything was clean and room was as advertised, and they let me store my bags for a few hours after check out. Would definitely stay here again

The TV in the room doesn't work. After informing the counter staff in advance, they came to repair it, but it didn't work. I told the staff that it was okay if I didn't use it. Later, the staff called the room and said they would help us change the room. After seeing it, I found that it was an upgraded room type. The service was good and polite. The CP value is high. This room is highly recommended. It is really close to No. 1 Middle School for shopping. 👍🏻

Stayed two nights in the budget double room and wished it was longer. Design of the room is very nice, being out most of the day, not having a window wasn’t noticeable. Room and bathroom very clean. Bed is very comfortable. Towel, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer, tv, kettle, tea, coffee, fridge and water refill all available. Great location. 10 minute walk from food places, night market, shops etc. 20 minute walk to the bus stop for sun moon lake. 25 minute walk to Taichung train station, but lots of local bus options nearby. Staff very friendly both in person and on Trip prior to arrival. Luggage storage also available.

We arrived with two bicycles, which was no problem. They immediately helped us out and found room in the garage to store them safely. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. We had a very comfortable night.

Pros: rooms are renovated and clean, breakfast varied daily and taste good, AC was cold, and hotel quite near the taichung TRA, and steps away from gancheng station where a lot of buses pass by cons: soundproofing could be better, no bidet in toilet All in all, still a good hotel choice in taichung considering the cheap price

The mattress is quite hard, and the pillow does not provide enough support, but it doesn’t affect my sleep. The soundproofing is good and being on the 7th floor, I can’t hear traffic noise. I sleep with the lights off, but after waking up, the lights somehow turn on automatically. The basic amenities are complete, the air conditioning is cold, and the lighting is comfortable. The bathroom is spacious, but the drainage in the shower area is a bit slow, so it creates puddle after every shower. The lobby is large. There is a water dispenser and there are sofas. The location is right in Yizhong Street Night Market. Within walking distance, there are four vegetarian restaurants and a self-service laundry. Overall, it’s a good experience. Recommended 👍

The room is as described and shown on the pictures. I gave a 4 for cleanliness as on first night, I found hairs on the bed & a hole on the bath towel. I reported to the staff via LINE (in Taiwan they use mainly LINE to communicate). They quickly took action and offered to change the bedsheets and clean the room. As I stayed for a week, they scheduled a housekeeping on day 4 of my stay. The soundproofing is not the best but if needed earplugs are provided in the room. It was the winter in Taiwan when I was there so having a hot shower is important and the hot water is available. I like that there is water dispenser at each room level, rubbish and recycling bins are located outside so it is convenient. The location of the inn is about 15 minutes walk from the Taichung Train Station. If you are carrying large luggage, advise to take a Uber. It is near to 一中街 (yizhong street) where you can find many shops, food, etc. From the inn, cutting through the open space carpark, you will be at the shopping area. As a female solo traveller, at the start I was a bit concerned of the location of the inn. The entrance to the inn is in a alley, next to a bistro bar. You need the access card to enter the inn so that is find, just make sure it is lock after you enter. The front desk only operates from 11 am - 10:30 pm. There is an emergency hotline number to call for afterhour service. Using LINE to communicate with them is easy. There's a cafe next to the inn where you can have breakfast with discount by showing your room card. If you want to travel to places, there are many buses. If not, it is easy to get Uber. For first time traveller to Taichung, he/she will not be aware that toilet paper cannot be thrown into the toilet bowl, so it is good to have a sign to show that. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. For the price, it is value for money.

This is my second time staying here, and it's just as great as I remember! The location is excellent, the rooms are spotless, and the overall environment is fantastic. Plus, they offer complimentary breakfast. The drink bar is a huge bonus, staying open until late evening. It's so nice to come back after exploring the night market and relax in the dining area with a few cups of coffee before heading upstairs. All in all, I think it's fantastic! 👍

We traveled to Taiwan with our family and stayed at Suye Hotel for four days, booking four rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The room design was also very beautiful and well thought out. Thank you for helping us make our experience in Taiwan even more enjoyable. We truly appreciate it!
