"The location is more suitable for travelers with transportation. Due to the building's circular design, the usable space is relatively small, resulting in parking spaces that are just the right size. Larger cars need to be extra careful to avoid scratches. The infinity pool has a transparent, aquarium-like design, allowing you to see your whole body. The semi-open design prevents it from getting too hot in the sun. The teamLab space on the third floor is amazing in the evening. It's worth bringing children. It's a bit of a shame that the welcome tea didn't include cookies. The complimentary mung bean salad is available close to dinner time, so if you usually eat dinner at 5 pm, you might miss out."
"9.2 points! Conveniently located for driving to South Bay and Kenting Street, but there's not much else nearby. The hotel faces east, overlooking the typhoon shelter and the sea; you can relax on the balcony gazing at the ocean! There's no welcome tea or breakfast included, and the flowers were a bit weak, but that wasn't a problem for us. If you mind, please prepare something for us. The butler, Ms. Wong, wasn't very proactive, probably wanting some personal space, which is understandable—talking a lot isn't always a good thing!"
"This was our second time staying at the Amada, a two-night stay in a quad room. I really love the ambiance and the landscaping here. This time, I specifically brought my eldest child to celebrate her birthday, and I want to thank the staff for the thoughtful decorations; the room was filled with balloons as soon as we walked in! 🎈
You could really feel how happy my child was 🥳. Every time we returned to the hotel, as soon as we entered the lobby, my daughter would exclaim, 'I'm home! ❤️'
(The gentleman at the front desk also loves interacting with the kids, telling them, 'Welcome home!' 😂)

"Our stay was amazing! 🤩 The staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, it has a variety of food choices and big portions. Our room had enough space and it was very clean. :) The accommodation doesn’t have an elevator but it was still manageable for us with our big luggage. The location is great, the bus station is just 2-3 minutes away per foot.
Furthermore, there is a 7 eleven nearby and you can also walk to the South Bay beach within 5 minutes.
We really enjoyed everything about the hotel, so we can highly recommend it. ☺️"
"From arrival to departure, the service was excellent. The staff and crew displayed warm hospitality and were attentive to guests' needs. Like many hotels in Taiwan, in-room utilities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so you’ll need to bring your own.
Sunshine Liv partners with a scooter rental shop that delivers and collects the scooter directly at the homestay. The rental price is reasonable at TWD 400 for 24 hours, and there’s no requirement to return the scooter with a full tank. The homestay is also conveniently located, with the nearest night market just a 10-minute scooter ride away.
We were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade with stunning ocean views! The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The TV offers a wide selection of channels across various genres, catering to different preferences. Additionally, the homestay serves a delightful home-cooked style breakfast.
Overall, we highly recommend visiting Kenting, and Sunshine Liv is an excellent choice for accommodation!
P.S. Complimentary parking is available for in-house guests, but the parking space is quite narrow, so drivers should proceed with caution."
"The hotel is very new, parking is available at the entrance, and it is only a five-minute drive from Wanlitong. Check-in time is relatively late, and it is convenient to arrange self-check-in at the counter. There are many hooks in the room, so you don't have to worry about having nowhere to put your things. There is also a folder introducing the delicious food and drink in Hengchun, and you can feel the care.
Qian Mian attaches great importance to sound insulation. The floor-to-ceiling windows are so thick that I can't hear the sound of strong wind outside. However, the tenants upstairs were very noisy in the middle of the night, and the noise of nearby tenants coming in and out in the morning was also relatively loud.
In addition, due to the cold current, the diving trip was postponed. A one-hour delay in check-out on the day of check-out is +800 (I personally think it is a bit expensive, a small hotel in a big city costs about 500 an hour), for other people's reference.
Overall it is recommended, suitable for people who drive by themselves and want to go diving or eat seafood at the nearby fishing port."
"The room was quite small. I didn't pay attention to the size of the room when I booked; I only checked if it had a balcony. My friend stayed in a room with a balcony, which was much larger—but the price was almost the same. I'll know how to choose next time. The blanket was very small, only enough for one adult (a light blanket). We asked the housekeeper for more blankets later, thankfully we had an extra light blanket to cover ourselves, so we didn't wake up cold in the middle of the night. The overall soundproofing was poor. Because it's on a main road, the noise of cars whizzing by and conversations from the next room were very clear… (I was woken up by the noise from next door in the middle of the night). If you're traveling in a group, I'd recommend booking the whole building; the environment was quite clean."
"The boss is nice and the facilities are clean. It's a little far from Kenting Street and Hengchun City, but opposite is the beach. It's nice to go to the beach at night to listen to the sea breeze and have a drink. Overall, I'm very satisfied and the price is affordable. I'll give it a try next time. Will come again"

AAnonymous UserBooked a sea-view quad room for three adults and one child. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and bright. All the staff, including the cleaning ladies, were very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven and various restaurants right next door, and Nanwan Beach is just across the street – perfect for kids to play in the sand and burn off energy. Overall, we had a very satisfying experience and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit.
GGuest UserThis hotel is located in Kenting's Little Bay, just across the road from Little Bay Beach, and the bus stop is also very close by. The hotel's breakfast spread is fantastic, and the seafood buffet for dinner offers great value for money. The best part is that the restaurant has a window overlooking the ocean (Picture 1), adding a wonderful ambiance to dinner. The hotel's garden is a lovely spot to relax (Picture 2). The swimming pool in the garden was under maintenance, so to compensate guests, the hotel organized some fun activities, like a night crab-hunting trip on the beach. We scared all the crabs away, and only a bunch of hermit crabs (Picture 3) stayed to play with us! ☺️
SSuzieWe stayed at the 海景三合院特色民宿 Seashoy BnB during the Qingming Festival holiday weekend. The architecture is stunning.
The owners contacted me before we traveled to the island, asking if we wanted help booking the ferry and a scooter. They're very helpful people! Once we arrived, they gave us maps showing tourist places of interest, and which beaches are safe for swimming.
They can also give advice about restaurants. The location is great, there's a beach within walking distance and a few restaurants and bars. But if you have a scooter/motorbike then it's easy to get around the island from anywhere.
I really liked that there is a building with extra showers, sinks and mirrors- and you can wash your swimsuits and towels without having to trek messy sand into your room after a day at the beach.
Even though the room was a little small, it was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was OK, you should collect it from the reception early or it'll get cold.
When we checked out, we were kindly given traditional Liuqiu cookies and cards with artwork.
I know that the price was a bit high because of the holiday weekend demand, but it was definitely worth it for a comfortable and relaxing stay on Liuqiu Island.
JJane M YHotel Review (Accessibility & Safety Concerns):
The location of this hotel is very convenient — it is close to the beach and within walking distance to the night market, which is definitely a plus.
However, overall my stay was not very comfortable.
Inside the room, the floor is not completely even. While it may not seem like a big issue at first, it could easily become a tripping hazard, especially for older guests or anyone not paying close attention.
The bathroom is also not separated into dry and wet areas, which makes it more slippery and less convenient to use.
Another important point is that the hotel does not have an elevator. Carrying luggage up and down the stairs can be quite inconvenient, particularly for elderly guests or those with heavy bags.
Although the interior design may look quite stylish or luxurious at first glance, in reality it feels impractical and raises safety concerns. There are other small details as well, but I will not go into them here.
I understand that different properties have their own limitations, and I am sharing this from a personal perspective. I hope this information can be helpful for future travelers when making their decision.
BBobLiangIf you're looking for a place to truly unwind in Kenting, I highly recommend 35.5. The room was incredibly clean and spacious, and the bed was just the right firmness, ensuring we had excellent sleep every night. I especially loved the minimalist design of the room; it felt very calming and uncluttered.
Even though the hotel is right by the main street, the soundproofing was surprisingly effective, completely blocking out the noise from outside. Xiaowan Beach is less than a 5-minute walk away, so we could easily stroll down to the beach in the evening, dip our feet in the water, and then return to the room for a relaxing bath. It was the perfect way to melt away all our stress. A big thank you to the guesthouse owner for providing such a wonderful space, allowing us to recharge before heading home!
BB. Lee.The house is very clean and tidy, highly recommended. ” ”The room is very clean and there are many restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.” ”The location is good, the room is large, the bathroom and toilet are also large, and it is very comfortable to live in!” ”The location is relatively remote, but the house is comfortable, the environment is quiet, and the staff is friendly.
EEnglish DugFu Bin met my needs very well. Very welcoming staff, who are a family. They did laundry for me and gave me hangers to dry, and they didn't want to charge for the laundry. That saved me valuable time and made my first trip to Kenting better utilised.
Everything at Fu Bin was as described, and they supplied a bowl and cutlery very promptly. It's easy to communicate with the staff by WhatsApp (or wechat, i can't remember) if you don't want to go downstairs.
For the price I feel the facilities are fine. No lift, limited view of the night market, decent air con, but I didn't need it all the time anyway. They were relaxed but efficient, and this made me feel more relaxed.
I walked to the lovely small beach for swimming, 10 minutes past the night market and in front of Caesar Hotel. The NM is fairly typical of Taiwan and not as co gestsd as the HK ones. I felt well priced for ”Western” currency (£) although TW people are not using Kenting for holidays so much these days. I swum at sunset for the first two days and early morning the third day. It's the best beach I have encountered in 60 years! The Caesar outdoors bar has some groovy music in the evenings, and I recommend having a drink there to finish your sunset swim. It's clean and idyllic.
Overall, my experience of Kenting was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful people, great facilities and beautiful flora and fauna. The history and places of indigenous people are worth checking out, especially if you have your own transport. I hope business is good for you all. Tsiu tsiu!
GGuest UserLocated right across from one of the beaches and very short walk to the main strip. Super friendly staff.
If you’re travelling from Kaohsiung via bus 9189 the hotel is a very short walk from the police substation bus stop.
SSophiaJangI've stayed at Seawall before, and I remember the air conditioning in the room being very quiet, not affecting my sleep quality at all. This time I stayed in a street-view room with a small balcony, and the AC was still very quiet. It's really important to get good rest when you're traveling.
From the hotel entrance, you can see the Dawan seascape and the sunset, and Kenting Street is right behind the hotel. For us, who prioritize relaxation, it's a very suitable and convenient location.
Seawall provides breakfast vouchers for a restaurant on the first floor of another building. It's quite simple, but it has everything you need, and I personally thought it was good.
GGuest UserThis stay included an upgrade to a Chocolate Room. The front desk and other staff at the resort were generally very friendly and welcoming. I suspect that due to a higher number of guests this time or a lack of staff for a while, breakfast was extended to the second-floor restaurant on Sunday. Guests dining after 8 am had to wait a bit. However, the most concerning experience was my dinner on Saturday evening. I'm unsure if it was due to uneven staff allocation or a lack of support measures, but it seems there were many more guests not on the reservation list. While there wasn't a shortage of front-of-house staff, I don't understand why one person at the counter had to run around so much. Shouldn't there be at least two people on duty at the counter to seat guests? Waiting for a table for dinner took over 15 minutes. Each group of guests just stood at the door waiting, with piles of empty tables. There were no walkie-talkies in the kitchen or back, and the flow of people and guests was chaotic. As for the dinner buffet, I don't think it's worth the resort's price. Think twice before eating at the resort's buffet; the selection wasn't very diverse, and the barbecue wasn't as good as expected. The white shrimp was fresh, though. I hope senior management sees this feedback. The duplex room was incredibly stuffy and had a damp smell when we first checked in. We recommend setting the air conditioner to dehumidify to remove the smell and cool it down faster. The bathroom had plenty of water, but the temperature control was inconsistent depending on the number of guests and the time of day. The elevator was very slow, and the layout of the basement wasn't great. The water facilities were maintained daily, and there were shows to enjoy in the evenings. Overall, it was a pretty good hotel for its age.
