"I felt very safe and the place was clean and tidy. All the rooms were fully equipped, and even had a balcony! The king-sized bed was super comfy and the air conditioning system worked perfectly. The USB charging ports were really convenient. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The surrounding area is also great, with a 24-hour convenience store downstairs. It's also within walking distance to the city center and the Old Port."

"Considering this is an ibis Budget hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. Great location in the old port area, heaps of restaurants around, walkable to everything. Very friendly staff on check-in. Room was compact but clean. It’s no frills so there is no safe, fridge, kettle or wardrobe. Good value for money. Breakfast was an additional €8.90 but worth it."

"Nice room and nice apartment / hotel. However, we were there for 7 days and they never cleaned our room at all. The Air conditioning kept turning off every 2 hours which was terrible at night in the heat as we had to get up every 2 hours to turn it back on. There was a regular beeping sound coming from the bathroom everytime you use the toilet. Cannot believe that there was a charge to use the swimming pool so didn't use it. No mention of that at all on the adverts."

"The room faces the old port, offering a nice view. From the balcony, you can watch thousands of ships docked in the old port. The Carrefour supermarket across the street has an underground parking garage, which is very convenient, just a 2-3 minute walk away. The location is excellent, with a subway station and many restaurants nearby, making transportation and dining very easy. Hotel facilities and service are average. At night, the nearby bars can be quite loud, and there's occasional motorcycle noise on the street, making it a bit noisy overall."

"I arrived at the hotel at around 1pm, and the front desk gave me the room directly (a room on the fifth floor). I paid a deposit of 100 euros on my credit card. When I entered the room, I saw that it was a room without windows on the wall (I booked a room with a small bed), so I called the front desk and asked him to change me to a room with windows on the wall instead of a room with windows on the roof. Their front desk reception was very enthusiastic and sent a colleague to take me to see another similar room on the fourth floor. Although there was a small window on the wall, the room was relatively small and not as good as the room with skylight on the fifth floor. So I decided to choose the room with skylight on the fifth floor. Check-in was still very pleasant. I met five or six front desk receptionists in total. Everyone was very enthusiastic. Maybe because I speak French, they answered all my questions. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is a five-minute walk from the Joliette subway station and there is a tramway. There are Carrefour, Monoprix and Franprix next to the hotel. The last three photos are a hamburger restaurant next to the hotel, which is a one or two-minute walk from the hotel. The average price per person is about 17 or 18 euros, and it is very delicious. From the photos you can see that the hotel is very close to Notre Dame Le Major. The hotel is relatively quiet and a good choice."

"Upside: The bed was very confortable and the shits were soft. The kitchen amenities made my stay even more convenient. There are a few kitchen utensils There's a metro station near by There are shower gel and towels Downside: The hitter was barely working The deposit had to be made through card, no cash. Don't expect to get your deposit back the same day as different banks have different policies, the transfer may be delayed a few days from what I understood. There's no toothpaste or toothbrushes"

"A nice, clean hotel just a stone's throw from the metro station, in an excellent location just steps from the city center. The hotel staff was very helpful. I recommend it to everyone."

"Coming out of the train station, head towards Marseille's Arc de Triomphe. You'll know you're there when you see the Arc de Triomphe Hotel; the entrance is on the right and the hotel itself is on the left. If you have luggage, use the side entrance as the main entrance has steps. The rooms aren't cleaned daily, and extra towels come with an additional charge. It gets incredibly hot in the room, even though it doesn't get much direct sunlight. If the price difference isn't significant, I'd recommend booking a room with a balcony. Those rooms face outwards and offer a view of the Arc de Triomphe. There was a bit of a mix-up with my Ctrip reservation. The younger guy at the front desk couldn't find my booking, but the more experienced staff member was really helpful and sorted it out even before Ctrip could. The French lady at the front desk during check-out was excellent, very proactive, and even said goodbye in Chinese!"

"Second stay at this hotel. Convenient for when traveling to / from the cruise port or airport. The hotel itself is very nice, small but great character and good facilities. We had a double floor mezzanine family room. Great room with comfy beds, clean, good amenities and nice bathroom, fridge, coffee machine etc so everything you need. There are two big downsides to this hotel that are out of their control. The old big French doors / windows look great but are not good at all for sound. We were on the 5th floor and heard cars, sirens, mopeds and people until the early hours and this does impact sleep. The second thing is the area, not a pleasant place at night. Lots of Homeless, rough sleepers and not a welcoming place. For us, simply going there to sleep and be comfortable and have a nice room it was good and we’d stay again, but it is expensive when you consider the area and noise at night vs some other better located hotels in Marseille"
