Hotels near Kuraimu, Asahikawa

The service and amenities at Dormy Asahikawa is good. The only gripe i have is the location, over the 2 days in in Asahikawa, it was raining and because Dormy Asahikawa is not exactly near to the station (abt 10 to 15mins walk dependingon traffic lights) with a backpack, 28” luggage wheeling, heavier drizzle (rain) and no shelter after The station's stretch of walkway, i got to the hotel drenched. The comfort is the hot spring and the 930pm Ramen. The service from their staff is good. Dormy inn standard doesn't fail.

It is an apartment with 2 floors. One double bed bedroom and a bathroom with shower are on the first floor. On the second floor, there is another double bed bedroom with a sofa bed, living room, open kitchen and a toilet. We are family of 3 with a teenage girl, so a double bed bedroom with a sofa bed is perfect for us. The apartment is sparkling clean, the kitchen provides cooking wear and table wear. However, there is no cooking oil, paper and salt.  We enjoyed staying there.

Great experience! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the station, and there's a convenience store downstairs. The rooms and facilities are relatively new, and the onsen (hot spring) is quite spacious. Breakfast was delicious. There's also a humidifier provided in the room. The only minor downside is that the last entry for breakfast is 9 AM, so I ended up wasting my breakfast voucher on the first day 😂

Toyoko Inn is a chain hotel, and I've stayed at this brand many times while traveling in Japan. Basically, all the facilities are the same, the service is consistent, and the prices are reasonable. It's neither surprising nor disappointing. The only downside is that the breakfast is really ordinary, but it's acceptable since it doesn't cost extra. This Asahikawa location is close to Heiwa-dori, making it convenient to find food and shopping. It's about a 10-minute walk to Asahikawa Station. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The only downside is that there are only two washing machines and dryers, so you have to wait until late to use them when fewer people are using them. If you're planning a trip to Asahikawa, this hotel is worth recommending.

The room was really small and the hotel itself was quite old. There's a hot spring bathhouse on the basement level, which is convenient for showering, and toiletries can be picked up for free in the lobby, which is well-stocked. There's a self-service laundry room on the ground floor; washing and drying are separate, and the dryer isn't very efficient, so plan your laundry time accordingly. The restaurant is on the top floor with a beautiful view, and the breakfast is very rich with daily rotating dishes – they put a lot of effort into it. The location is great, not far from Asahikawa Station, and dining is very convenient with many restaurants to choose from.

The room was very simple, clean, and stylish. When searching for a hotel for a family of four, most hotels offer two king or queen-size beds, but this hotel had four single beds, which made for a very comfortable sleep. I think it would also be perfect for traveling with friends. The only drawback is that the shower room and toilet are small. We were able to compensate for this by going to a hot spring resort about a 5-minute walk away. If you're looking for a simple stay, I recommend this hotel.

This is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!

I've stayed in Asahikawa many times, but this was my first time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff were kind and polite. The other staff members also greeted me with smiles. The room size was adequate, and the cleaning was thorough. The hotel's parking lot had limited spaces, so I parked in a nearby affiliated paid parking lot, which was surprisingly far away. It was raining that day, so I got quite wet. It's best to check in early on rainy days. The breakfast had a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and I was satisfied. However, there didn't seem to be any milk available, so I would like to request that milk be provided with breakfast. Overall, I was satisfied.

Location is decent not super fancy central, but still easy enough to get around Asahikawa, which is already a pretty chill, compact city anyway. Good base if you’re just passing through or heading to places like the zoo or nearby ski spots.

It was okay. Service is mostly self-service, but they offer luggage storage and the staff were very friendly, so that's a plus. The room facilities were quite old, but the cleanliness was fine. There weren't many power outlets, but they provided an extension cord. The biggest drawback was the extra cot which creaked all night, disturbing everyone's sleep.
