"Airport shuttle [round trip]: I called the hotel for a pick-up from the airport, and they picked me up right at Gate 1. If you're not sure where Gate 1 is, you can ask the airport staff. In the morning, you just wait at the front desk to be taken to the airport to pick up your rental car. Facilities: The hotel has a long history, which is detailed in a description next to the front desk. Despite its age, the room facilities are quite good, and I'm very satisfied for the price."

"We arrived late at night on our first day, and after collecting our luggage, I called, and they responded very quickly. Within a minute or two of us finding Gate 2, the car arrived. Since it was so late, the driver even handled the check-in process for us, which was incredibly convenient. The next day, we had arranged to pick up our rental car and asked if they could drop us directly at the car rental company (I had originally booked a service where the rental company would pick us up from the airport). They readily agreed! We booked a one-bedroom suite, and while it looked a bit basic, it was very spacious and clean, so that was perfectly fine. _The hotel's restaurant was also good; we had one breakfast and one dinner there. Highly recommend for transit travelers."

"The location is excellent. Following the hotel's directions, it's only a 10-minute walk, a route you won't find on Google Maps. There's a large supermarket and several restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The bathroom in my room type didn't have an exhaust fan, so there was a constant damp smell. The common area is spacious, and the kitchen is well-equipped, but I strongly recommend bringing your own cutlery for hygiene reasons. The public cutlery is washed by guests themselves, and on the day I was there, several dirty dishes were left in the sink, and some tabletops weren't wiped clean after use, making the kitchen look untidy. Overall, it's a good place for a short stay, especially if you're catching a flight."

"Having stayed in so many hotels across the South Island, this was the first time I felt like I was back in a hotel in China. The plump manager at the front desk personally escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage – truly welcoming and enthusiastic. It's only after coming to New Zealand that you realize how much Chinese hotels pamper their guests, treating them like gods: 24-hour front desks, check-out times at 12 PM or even 2 PM, and amenities like disposable slippers readily available. They also don't rigidly charge an extra $30 per child like in New Zealand. Many hotels here simply don't have a concept of service; everything is pretty much self-service. This Sudima is one of the few hotels that can truly compare to those in China!"

"The front desk clerk was very polite, she said she had worked in Hong Kong, and as soon as I heard my accent, I was estimated to be from Hong Kong. The hotel is only about ten minutes drive from the Chinese supermarket Sanshang Supermarket. There are many Chinese restaurants near the supermarket."

"The location is super strategic and convenient, just a few walking steps to airport, bus station to Christchurch city and place to pick up & drop off our car rental. Their receptionists are very polite and always put a big smile when we approached them. We arrived the hotel in the earlier morning and went for city walk before check in. They helped us put all our luggages inside our room before we back and a little “kiwi” soft toy was surprised for my little kid. Highly recommend!!!"

"The preferred motel is really convenient to go out, the landlord is very good, and there is a cute puppy. The room is clean and the stove is very complete. It takes only5-6 minutes to take a taxi to the airport. It is also very convenient to go to the city. It is about 10 minutes drive from the nearby Chinese restaurants and supermarkets! I will choose this next time I come to New Zealand."

"It is very close to the airport, about a 5-minute drive away. You can find the hotel's shuttle bus directly from Gate 1 or 2 of Christchurch Airport. Airport pick-up is free and airport drop-off is 7 SGD. The room is quite spacious, with two separate bedrooms, and can be used for simple breakfast."

"This hotel offers excellent value for money in Christchurch. It's about 7-8 kilometers from the airport, similar to a 'Home Inn' or 'JI Hotel' in China – well-equipped and comfortable. The front desk service was warm and patient. My child was sick, and when I requested a late check-out, the Caucasian gentleman at the front desk readily agreed. Thumbs up! 👍"

"The DoubleTree by Hilton Christchurch is excellent in every aspect. It's very close to Christchurch city center and the Botanic Gardens, and the surroundings are beautiful. Even though it was winter, you could tell the hotel's maintenance and facilities were very well-kept. The breakfast selection was also quite varied. Overall, I was very satisfied!"
