The room is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's easy to walk to the city center. My husband and I are very satisfied with the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel.

I can't appreciate it because I haven't been. I tried to book it twice and the second gave me another day. I tried to cancel it from the same and I couldn't. I tried to contact trip.com and I couldn't. I have spoken to the hotel and they say they can't cancel it.

The location was amazing - close to metro, walkable distance to old town centre etc. The room was very spacious and looks like it had all cooking utensils if you wish to cook. Had two majour issues - 1. The room key was missing in the lock box when we arrived around 1 am. However got sorted fairly quickly when we rang the number given on booking email. 2. The drainage system in the shower was terrible, room was flooded (the colour of the wooden floor tells a lot!) but it was fine when showered with the drain cover opened. Other than that, I think it was a very good value of money and would really recommend!

Clean and well-located, but AVOID the basement ‘double room’ The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and in a great location with friendly service. However, I stayed in the basement-level ‘double room’. It’s located at the front of the property, directly at street level, with two small windows facing the pavement — making it difficult to get fresh air or natural light, and quite noisy due to passing pedestrians and cars, even with the windows shut and earplugs in. The photos captures many of the other room types charming features, which can be misleading for the double room in basement. In this particular room, ventilation was poor due to its position, and a musty smell from the bathroom lingered throughout the space. Given the price of this ‘double room’, it’s better off booking elsewhere — somewhere less charming but more practical — OR booking the other room types I assume are upper-level room to avoid the drawbacks of this front-facing basement unit.

The room smelled so strange upon entering, then we went to inspect the AC and could tell there was black mold accumulating in there. The sofa bed was not a sofa bed at all, but a rickety foldable springy mattress. It was so uncomfortable and so loud that I ultaimtely had to sleep on the day bed. Would NOT recommend staying here.

This is a lovely hotel, all the staff here are friendly and kind. Everything in this hotel is blue haha, interesting to show the color of Porto I think. And there is something wrong with my bathroom door on the first night, I called the reception And they came to me very quickly and solved the problem. The next day even changed the room for me. By the way, there are a lot of choices during the breakfast buffet, I like it so much. Thanks for your warm services again :)

The room is perfect with outdoor view and comfortable inside. The hotel's location is very convenient to go to the views. The employees are professional. Thanks for all.

The landlord’s grandmother is very good. You need to communicate in Spanish or Portuguese. I don’t understand English. The room environment is very good. The location is particularly good. You can walk to all the attractions. The airport is directly accessible by the hotel subway and then walk for a few minutes. There is no air conditioning but Porto is not. Heat count

It's a bit of a walk up a rocky slope from the train station, but it's close, about 10 to 12 minutes away. If the carrier is heavy, it may be a bit difficult. It's about 5 to 10 minutes away from major hot spots, and it's small and clean. The wooden floor in the room and the tile floor in the bathroom were clean and nice to the touch, so I walked around barefoot. I was very tired at the end of the trip, but I quickly felt relieved after three warm showers. The welcome drink and homemade crepes for breakfast were also fun. The friendly female staff member gave me some recipes and gave my son a thumbs up, saying he looked like a professional chef. The bright smiles and greetings of the counter and restaurant staff are also impressive. It was a double room, and there was an extra bed similar to a sofa near the entrance, so I used it as both a bed and a sofa. I'm not sensitive to sound, so I think I could hear the sound of wheels rolling on the stone floor and the sound of rain all night long. I found this place in a hurry while traveling, and it was the cheapest with breakfast included, so I was most satisfied with the accommodations I stayed for 13 days. I've never written a review before, so I'm writing this review~

The hotel is very well located. However, the street is very noisy with view of the large number of coffee and nearby restaurant. A bemol, a slightly unpleasant smell in the shower, the toilets were not well cleaned, the bed floors were not very pleasant. Otherwise, the household service of the floor is serviceable and to the listener.
