The hotel environment is really nice. Lying in the hammock at night with a breeze blowing was very pleasant. There's a Lawson convenience store right next to the lawn, and a little cat at the entrance that would 'mug' everyone, meowing at anyone who passed by. I arrived late at night and there was a Chinese-speaking front desk staff who helped me check in. It's an 8-minute walk from ICONSIAM. When I checked out, I forgot my charger and told the front desk; they quickly helped me find it. Bella and Kookai were both very kind. I highly recommend staying here.

This is my second stay here within six months, and the facilities are undeniably new and excellent. The cleanliness is also quite good, though I felt it wasn't as meticulously cleaned as during my previous visit. Still, overall, it's very clean. The location is outstanding – compared to other places nearby, it's newer and reasonably priced, which is why I chose it again. It has direct access to ICONSIAM, and you can take a boat or the metro right downstairs, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven downstairs, a massage parlor right outside, and everything ICONSIAM has to offer. The M floor connects directly to the metro and ICONSIAM.
The service, however, wasn't as good as last time. For example, when I asked for a late check-out, they initially told me it wasn't possible due to a full house, but then offered an extension of only half an hour or an hour. Also, my slippers were never changed even once during my stay. I usually came back late and was too lazy to ask, so I just made do with the old ones. There was no bottle opener, which was very odd. When I asked the front desk, they said the restaurant was closed and they didn't have one either.
Overall, it's an option, but I might consider a different hotel next time.

My husband and I stayed at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok from the 16th to the 18th for two nights, and had a fantastic experience.
The location by the river was perfect, offering beautiful views and easy access to everything. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was outstanding with a great variety.
Overall, we found everything to be clean, comfortable, and well organised. The staff were welcoming and professional, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Facilities: Decent, the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush as they don't provide one.
Cleanliness: Okay.
Ambiance: Pretty good.
Service: They offer free luggage storage, and the security guards were very helpful with carrying my bags both when I arrived and when I left, which was great.

I was quite hesitant about this hotel after reading the reviews, but after staying there, I can say its location is excellent, right by the river. The biggest selling point is definitely the riverside access, especially the free shuttle boat. This shuttle can take you to S-pier, which connects to all the major blue and orange line attractions. Taking the metro isn't the most convenient option, but you can also get to S-pier and transfer there. From my window, I could see the Ferris wheel, and there's a night market right downstairs. However, the shuttle service ends at 9 PM, which is a big drawback, as it's about a 5-minute walk from there. Also, if you're close to the river at night, you might hear the rumble of boats in the middle of the night.
While the hotel facilities are a bit old, they're not dirty. I loved the bed – it was incredibly soft and comfortable; I honestly didn't want to get up! The beds are huge. Even though they're single beds, two pushed together are bigger than beds in China, easily sleeping three people. I skipped the hotel breakfast as I'd already spent a lot of money these past few days. In the afternoon, there's hot coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch (though it's the only one). They also have iced water, chrysanthemum tea, and roselle tea, plus some biscuits. In the mornings, there are croissants and hot coffee that you can take with you. It's like a simple meal, and it's not bad at all. One of the front desk staff speaks Chinese, so communication wasn't an issue.
The hotel requires a deposit, as it's a major international brand. The bottled water in the room is complimentary and NSF certified, so feel free to drink up. The razor provided was quite good, and the water pressure in the shower was strong. From 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, there's a singer performing in the lobby, which you can discreetly listen to. There's also legitimate massage available outside. If you get hungry at night, there's a 7-Eleven and some street food stalls about 50 to 100 meters away. I wouldn't say the food is amazing or terrible, but you can try the oyster omelet. As for the swimming pool, it's actually quite nice, being on the first floor and very spacious. If your main goal is to explore along the river, this hotel is perfect. However, if you're looking to frequent places like Nana, this location might not be ideal.

I booked this hotel because of it's location in Talad Noi/riverside, and the nice view.
The beds where actually surprisingly comfortable and seemed new, and the hotel room had recently had a little facelift. The the work was just weirdly badly done for some reason, but this just seems to be something the thais simply don't care about. Nobody bothers using tape while painting something in this country. Not a problem for us though.
The staff was sweet and helpful, breakfast nice and the terrace on the roof had a lovely view. This is one of the the few hotels with a nice river view without the high price tag, so I really recommend it. I wanted to check out this area, Talad Noi, and I found it really interesting. Also a short way to Chinatown for some action and great food, and to the boats for comfortable transport.

We stayed right in the heart of Bangkok, which made everything incredibly convenient—major attractions and transportation options were all within easy reach. The location alone made our trip so much smoother.
Our room was impressively spacious, which we really appreciated after long days out exploring. We also made good use of the gym facilities, which were well-maintained and a great bonus during our stay.
Housekeeping was consistent and reliable—they cleaned our room daily and kept everything fresh. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help, which added to the overall positive experience. Check-in was seamless and hassle-free.
The only minor downside was the Wi-Fi, which could be a bit inconsistent at times. Still, it didn’t take away much from what was otherwise a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Ps. Bath tub is so big that two people can fit in.

Despite the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this place is surprisingly quiet. No exhaust fumes or constant motorbike noise. It has its own pool and a private riverfront. The room type is decent, comparable to economic chain hotels in China, with enough space to open a large suitcase. Soundproofing is good. Being right by the Chao Phraya River is cool and relaxing; you can enjoy a spa in a gazebo and there's an on-site restaurant. The hygiene is good, with daily cleaning and two bottles of water provided each day. The fridge is cold enough, and the air conditioning works well. There are plenty of power outlets, so no need for an adapter; a three-prong plug strip works directly. The Wi-Fi isn't great, but most people buy local SIM cards for data anyway. The bed is on the softer side but comfortable, and the pillows aren't too high, making for a good night's sleep. The wardrobe has five or six non-removable hangers, a safe, and a kettle. The bathroom space is fine, with plenty of hot water available at all times. Disposable amenities aren't provided, only shower gel and shampoo. There are no slippers in the room, but I didn't ask if the front desk had any. The hotel staff are all very helpful. The pool seems to be cleaned daily, and there are always people swimming. There's also a children's play area with swings and a slide. Outside, under the big bridge, there's a small park with even more play equipment for kids.
For me, the only downside was not finding a place to dry clothes, so washing them wasn't an option, and the windows are sealed. I'm not sure if you can access the rooftop, haha.
Next time I'm in Bangkok, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.
Here are some travel tips: Walk a hundred meters out, and you'll find two 7-Elevens, which are very convenient (always check your receipt – if you don't want to translate specific items, just check the quantity and estimate the total. Especially at the 7-Eleven closer to the hotel, the young staff member scanned some snacks and drinks for himself. He probably thought I wouldn't understand the receipt. I realized later that I paid more than I should have. The 7-Eleven across the street is much bigger and better). There's also a slightly larger supermarket inside Sena, Villa Market, though prices aren't cheap. There are many eateries nearby, including Jeju and a local User Choice spot. Not far away is also a very atmospheric BBQ restaurant; just search for it on Google Maps. Besides Thai food, locals seem to eat a lot of noodles. Personally, I found the taste similar to Cantonese cuisine – sweet, with a base of shallots and peanuts, somewhat like satay. The bowls are small but sweet enough to keep you full, haha. I also visited Thong Smith, but honestly, I only saw Chinese tourists there... Any random noodle shop outside tastes pretty much the same, you just pay double for the ambiance.
It's not far from ICONSIAM, within walking distance. Across from ICONSIAM is a Lotus supermarket, which is better to browse than Big C, with a wider selection of items and fewer crowds. I didn't see any durian sellers on the streets of Bangkok. That durian shop near the Peninsula Hotel is a rip-off; don't even bother looking.
I recommend trying sour plum tamarind, preferably the kind without added seasonings; it's addictively good. Yunnan in China also has it, but I've only had it in the form of sour plum cakes there.
Regarding transportation, it's a bit of a distance to the BTS, but it's walkable. There are also bus stops, but I'd advise against taking a bus during peak hours. Under the bridge, there's also a public pier where you can take a boat to Santhon on the opposite bank for only 5 baht to transfer to another boat, if you don't want to walk across the bridge. Grab taxis are convenient. During peak hours, going to the airport takes at least 1.5 hours, and the estimated times on the app are generally accurate. I haven't tried the hotel's shuttle service yet.
For Siam Ocean World, you can buy tickets on Trip.com at the entrance and scan to enter. Safari World is too far; only the shows are worth seeing. You can ride an elephant for 300 baht and even buy paintings drawn by elephants, which is quite a good deal. Otherwise, if you've been to Chimelong, there's no need to go. I booked a package on Trip.com that included a car, tickets, and a buffet. Although the buffet was just group meal quality, there's really nothing else to eat inside. Since I had a child, I didn't visit any temples. I went to the Bangkok National Museum, and honestly, there's not much to see except exquisite religious sculptures and royal artifacts. If you have time, you can visit. You can take a public passenger boat to explore the Chao Phraya River; it's very convenient and cheap.
In Bangkok, wearing long pants won't be too hot, and inside most malls and any air-conditioned places, it's very cold.
Bangkok is a great international metropolis. I'd love to come back again during off-peak season when flights and hotels are cheaper. Bye for now!

At first, I thought the hotel was in a really congested area, but after staying there, I realized it's actually a great location for Bangkok standards. It's close to Chinatown and ICONSIAM, which makes getting around very convenient. There's an infinity pool on the top floor, and you can play billiards and PS5 games for free. They also provide plenty of complimentary snacks and drinks. For each night you stay, you get two coins that can be redeemed for gifts. I highly recommend staying at this hotel when you come to Bangkok. It's definitely worth the price.

* This is an established luxury five-star hotel situated in the heart of Bangkok's commercial district. It's right next to the Erawan Shrine, and within walking distance to Siam Paragon, Central World, and Big C. The Chit Lom BTS station is just a stone's throw away, making both taxis and the Skytrain incredibly convenient for getting around.
* Ideal for business travelers, shoppers, and those who appreciate classic luxury. Younger guests seeking minimalist, modern design might find it a bit traditional.
## Facilities & Services
1. **Guest Rooms:** Recently renovated by Tony Chi, the rooms are elegant and comfortable with high-quality linens and excellent soundproofing. Some entry-level room sizes are a bit compact for a city-center hotel. Welcome fruits and well-stocked toiletries are provided.
2. **Dining:** Breakfast offers a good variety (Thai + Western). Erawan Tea Room is a Michelin-recommended Thai restaurant, and the Executive Lounge service is consistently good. Some restaurant prices are on the higher side.
3. **Leisure:** The pool isn't huge, better suited for relaxation than extended swimming. The spa has an excellent reputation with professional therapists. The gym is open 24/7 with a full range of equipment.
4. **Service:** The front desk is efficient, and Globalist benefits are well-executed. Chinese-speaking staff are available. The hotel upholds the strong attention to detail and consistency expected of a long-standing five-star property.
5. **Ambiance:** Features a high-ceilinged lobby with a blend of European and Thai decor, exuding an 'Old Money' vibe. While well-maintained, it has a sense of history rather than a modern, minimalist aesthetic.
YYiyayiyayou*The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the BTS station, making it easy to get to various attractions. There's a night market and bar opposite the hotel, which gets lively in the evenings, and a 7-Eleven is very close by. I heard the hotel breakfast is delicious, so definitely book a room with breakfast! We had lunch at the hotel restaurant, and the Hainanese chicken rice was really good and suited Chinese tastes. The service was great! It's also very secure as you need a key card to access the guest room floors.
GGuest UserThis is the most complete hostel I've ever been to. There are six floors with several balconies and all of it remains spotless. The common areas are awesome. The river view is amazing I look forward to seeing the fireworks on the river every time. The staff are friendly and accomodating and there are more than enough bathrooms and showers for everybody here. I don't have anything to complain about, I like it a lot here
AAlexTannThis hotel was the last stop on our trip to Thailand. Compared to The Nai Harn, it felt grander and more business-oriented, which was evident from the breakfast spread – definitely geared more towards business travelers. We stayed on the executive floor, though it wasn't an executive room itself... which I found a bit odd. The hotel's decor has a retro, old-fashioned vibe, making it feel less like a holiday retreat for me personally. However, these weren't major issues. The staff's service attitude was consistently excellent. The main pool was quite busy, possibly because two youth football teams were staying there, so there were lots of people playing and having fun. It was still a good experience overall.
GGuest UserI spent 17 nights at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with my choice for a remote work and vacation stay. The room has a spacious desk where I could work comfortably, and the internet speed was consistently fast. The bed was also very comfortable. I had no trouble falling asleep at all. I’d say it’s on par with the bed at Parkroyal Collection Pickering in Singapore. The room was clean and a decent size, and the shower had strong water pressure. Locationwise, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Sala Daeng BTS or Lumphini MRT. While it may not be very close to public transport for some, one of the best things about the location is that it’s surrounded by many great restaurants to suit different budgets. In fact, the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had is just a five-minute walk from the hotel.Special thanks to Mr. Kelly from the reception team for providing exceptional service and helping me with any issues during my stay.
EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.
GGuest UserThe hotel location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain station. There's also a connected walkway from the second floor of the adjacent EmSphere mall, so you don't have to walk in the sun. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of food, entertainment, supermarkets, convenience stores, massage places, and malls – very convenient. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to Asok station and Terminal 21. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities and decor are a bit dated, but it's generally clean and tidy, and the service is warm and friendly.
AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for two nights.
Cons
The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation.
The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are.
A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened.
There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only.
The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable.
There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened.
The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone.
The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove.
Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling.
Pros
The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person.
Clean bed linen.
The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure.
The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery.
There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed.
The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly.
The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls.
The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel.
Overall
Suitable for a short stay of one night.
The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos.
The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

AAnonymous UserA good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course)
2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions.
3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned
Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.
DDezhengjianxiuI stayed here ten years ago when I first visited Bangkok, and it's still great! The room is huge, and it's incredibly quiet at night. There's a bus stop right downstairs, and it's not too far from the Sala Daeng BTS station. The breakfast menu changed daily, which was a nice touch, and overall it was a very comfortable stay. My only minor complaint is that they didn't change the bedsheets during my 7-day stay. The hotel is right next to the Mahanakhon Pixel Tower, and the 20th floor offers a fantastic spot for photos.
