They are surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean, and designed with a sleek, minimal aesthetic that feels very fresh and modern. My bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. I was also impressed by the thoughtful in-room amenities; having a large refrigerator and a microwave is a massive plus for travelers who want to store snacks or heat up local street food. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout my stay, which made it easy to stay connected. The location in Phahonyothin 35 is perfect for those who want to experience a more authentic side of Bangkok while staying well-connected to the city center. It is just a short, manageable walk or a quick motorbike taxi ride to the BTS Ratchayothin station, which puts the rest of the city within easy reach. The surrounding neighborhood is convenient as well, with a 7-Eleven nearby and plenty of delicious local food stalls along the alley. I also loved the little extras provided by the hotel, like the massage chair in the common area and the free snacks and coffee provided in the lobby. Metro Hotel Phahol 35 is a ”smart travel” choice that doesn't feel like a budget hotel; it feels like a modern home away from home. Between the wonderful staff, the well-equipped rooms, and the unbeatable price, I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Bangkok. "This hotel is convenient for switching airports – it's roughly equidistant from Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang, and a taxi is the easiest way to get there. If you're looking for tourist attractions, you can get to most places via the subway with one transfer. In about 15 minutes, you can walk to a local food and fruit market; it’s not touristy, so prices are low. There's a new grocery store right below the hotel that isn't on maps yet, and 7-Eleven stores are also within easy walking distance. There aren't many massage places right nearby; one is about a 15-minute walk, and others are further. The room matches the photos on the website. If your window faces the road, it can be noisy inside, but we're not light sleepers, so it didn't bother us. Breakfast is buffet-style, but there aren't many dishes – basic fruits, sausages, eggs, soups, and a few hot options. There's a small pool in the courtyard. The marine aquarium by the elevator is really cool."

"Clean and tidy hotel. Having a water dispenser was a huge plus, saved me from buying bottled water. I really appreciated having a trash can and tissues in the room. The hairdryer and multi-socket adapter were also very convenient. Since I only stayed two nights, my room wasn't cleaned, but they provided fresh towels on the second day, which was helpful. The only downside is that it's a bit of a walk from the station. However, it had good access to Ayutthaya and Don Mueang Airport."

"This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations and more. From the outdoor infinity pool, to access to a fully stocked gym and the complimentary daily breakfast that had the biggest variety of Asian and American dishes on rotation everyday; this place has to be on my top international stays. You are also in walking distance to the Union Mall, which has a wide selection of food court delights. For the price, you really can’t ask for more. Will definitely stay in other The Quarter branches the next time I’m in Thailand."

"Stayed for two weeks with my two kids. The concierge, Chan, speaks Chinese and provides excellent service. While the hotel facilities aren't brand new, the cleanliness is superb. They change the sheets daily, and every corner shows meticulous attention to detail. Definitely hope to come back again! Hehe 😄 Happy every day~"

"Stayed in this hotel since I was attending a concert at Union Mall. Love how everything is so near to this place! MRT Lat Phrao station was just a walk away and a 7-Eleven was right around the corner. Felt safe throughout my trip since it was an all girls accommodation. Access to the hotel and rooms are via key card so that's a plus as well. We were 4 in a room and I stayed at the upper bunk. Love that we had our own toilet/shower area. Aircon is okay but if you're in an upper bunk and run a little hot like me, you would like to open the partition a little bit. Another bonus is the 4th floor common area. So much space for everyone. There was a kitchenette with microwave, ref, and laundry area. An indoor and outdoor dining area. A multifunction room with a huge table. And a Hollywood room with extra shower and toilet areas + huge mirrors. Blow dryer, hair straightener, and hair ties were also provided. The wifi was strong throughout my trip, towel and water bottles were refreshed every day on your bed, and there was an attendant at the lobby 24 hours. Never had a hard time booking grab to and from the accommodation. Will definitely book this again!"

"The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. The location was very convenient, and it offered excellent value for money – highly recommended! It's easy to get around, with all amenities nearby. The room was spacious and bright, well-equipped, and the service was efficient. I had a very pleasant stay!"

"tldr; 👎 cleanliness falls short, horrible room lighting 👍 location, service twin room looks literally like in picture. my friend’s blanket had a huge hole 😅 location 💯. it’s a 5mins bike ride to union mall. i had to attend an event there so it’s close proximity is definitely a + point. receptionists were polite. the guy on duty at night on 3Aug 12am was asleep when we went down to collect our grab food tho.. ‼️🚨 STAY AWAY FROM THE CAT. my friend saw a cat roaming around the hotel lobby and went to play with it. she ended getting seriously scratched and bitten for which we had to go hospital to get vaccines. 💸 there’s a board at the counter informing that it’s not a hotel guest but we overlooked it)."

"I absolutely love this grand hotel with its strong sense of history. It evokes a nostalgic atmosphere of the 90s and early 00s, combined with a luxurious and opulent feel that modern hotels simply can't replicate. Despite being an older hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, showing great attention to the bedding quality. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. The gym is fantastic too! I will definitely be staying here again!"

"The pool is small, but barely anyone uses it, so it's great to have it all to myself! 👍 However, the ground-floor pool access rooms are a bit awkward. Many of them are actually quite far from the pool, so it's not like you open your window and there's the pool. The price is the same for all of them, which is a bit debatable... Initially, I was assigned a room very far away, but I asked the front desk for help and they managed to move me to a slightly closer one. Still, it's a bit... 😅😅😅 If you're planning to stay here, I'd recommend asking the front desk before checking in if they have any available rooms closest to the pool."
