"The furniture was badly scratched and damaged. The carpet was nearly worn out. The desk chair fabric was worn, and even the trashcans were rusted inside. Overall, the room needed to be remodeled. My room was cleaned once after the first day of a five-day stay. The cleaning staff didn't come until 2:30-3 pm on days three and four. I attended training classes and events between 9 am and 2 pm. I will probably not book a room at a Wyndham Hotel again. I should have taken photos."
"This hotel was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life hands down. It was clean and comfortable, the rooms are designed so different than any hotel and the paintings along side the building are incredible. The decorations in the lobby are one of a kind and all the pictures of Detroit in the halls are something great to
Look at! The food was excellent! Never had anything like that! One in a life time experience!! Loved the court hard where you can play bags and hang out, outside. Such a great place! Loved it! Looking forward to going back soon!"
"I spent one night at the Hollywood Casino at Greektown. I did not visit the casino. I was looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The hotel grounds were 4-stars. I arrived around 7 PM. It took some time to check in because I had to wait for a number of others who qualified for the VIP check-in line.
I stayed in a basic, twin queen room. The room and bathroom were nice and modern. Shortly after getting into my room, bright exterior lights turned on - shining in the direction of my room. I couldn't see what they were illuminating, but if I had to guess, it was perhaps the hotel name written on the exterior. Those lights stayed on all night. The drapes didn't completely cover the windows, so my room was illuminated all night. The room stayed one temperature despite what the thermostat was set to. There was an intermittent hum coming from the in-wall heater as if it was revving up. I ultimately slept with earplugs.
I am have been able to overlook the illuminated room, dysfunctional thermostat, and intermittent hum if I was there for other reasons than to sleep, like to visit the casino, or go out."
"The rooms and facilities are good, but there is no daily room service. It is a homestay, so don't book if you mind. There is no front desk, only WhatsApp can be used for communication. Before checking in, you need to fill in various information and bind your credit card according to the email prompts, otherwise you will not be given room information and door password."
"Perfect location to discover Detroit Downtown, super close to People Mover Stop Millender Center! It features Starbucks coffee machine and it also has its own coffee shop."
"This place is a total dump. Well located but the room was disgusting. Trash in the drawers and the carpet was sticky. Smelled like death. On the plus side, plenty of hot water. "
"The room is large in size and has kitchen facilities. The towel bedding is white and international. The bed is relatively simple. The two-story list is sandwiched in a quilt, which is easy to sleep. The kitchen supplies are more powerful and easy to use. The bathroom washbasin is not well drained. The receptionist at the front desk was very slow to check in and seemed not very skilled. Once verified, the attitude was still very friendly. The hotel is in the city center and travel is very convenient. I didn't clean the room for two days, and I didn't send the towel. There is a supermarket below the hotel that can meet general needs."
"The hotel was overcrowded during the exhibition. The facilities in the hotel were OK. The bad experience came from the fact that we clearly booked a double room, but the front desk gave us a double room on the grounds that there were no rooms."
"The hospitality was top tier and the hotel was beautiful. We had a great experience for our 13th anniversary."

Great
GGuest UserThe location is a little off, but the hotel facilities are good, basically matching the domestic five-star hotels, the service is also very good, and the price is reasonable. It is not far from the city center, highly recommended
KKempLoriThe Aloft Detroit is a beautiful hotel! Everyone was so nice & very professional, so friendly and very helpful. They made you feel very special. It is in a great location, right across from Tiger Stadium & Ford Field, and only 1/2 mile from Little Caesars Arena. Lots of great restaurants withing walking distance. The rooms were very nice, exceptionally clean and the beds were so comfortable. Will absolutely be staying at the Aloft again!
GGuest UserDetroit locals stayed in many hotels, the room was very clean, especially the bedding was very soft and clean, the room was a bit small, the downstairs was a bit noisy but did not affect the experience of staying. The color matching of the bathroom and shower room is very distinctive. Downstairs is the service desk and a place for coffee snacks. You can sit in the seat outside the door, bask in the sun, drink coffee, enjoy a daze in a clean environment and enjoy the local life atmosphere. .
GGuest UserWent to event at Soundboard with friends - great venue so a group of four friends decided to make an overnight of it, including check-in after using the wonderful spa which was an excellent experience. The hotel was adequate, but the surprise was the lack of amenities, such as no actual water glasses for the room, no wine glasses available for the room, and no ability to really order food to the room other than going to the food court options, which are not impressive. We did, however, have an excellent dinner at ritzy restaurant, Revel. Pricey but great experience for a splurge. Room on 12th floor was blazing hot even with temp set at 65 degrees (with governor so could not adjust lower), and room was more like 75 degrees. Altogether, a fun experience at adequate hotel with pricey but wonderful spa, fantastic dinner at Revel restaurant and convenient access to Soundboard event venue.
GGuest UserOverall the place was great. Friendly staff, great location! I would suggest different curtains rather than sheer as you’re super close to the stadium/ lights that shined through all night. Made it a little hard to sleep with the room being light. The breakfast was a little below average any hotel breakfast, nothing cooked like meats or eggs. But the fresh fruit and bagels were good to hold us off till lunch. Breakfast isn’t served till 9am, which is a little late in my opinion if you’re headed off early in the AM. Overall it was a good stay and a great location within walking distance to either 3 stadiums, and I would book again.
GGuest UserWhile this hotel was nice and clean, it does not mention that EVERYTHING you pay so much to stay at the hotel for one night, is closed. The restaurant inside, the breakfast buffet restaurant, the workout room, and the bar is CLOSED. I’m not happy that I paid $250 just to sleep.
DDO YOUNGIt's a pretty and emotional hostel. However, it seems to be renovated and used by an old house, but the shower room is inconvenient and the soundproofing is not good.
Xxdd44The location is definitely good. GM’s display space at the bottom, minutes walk to downtown, river views… The furniture is a bit old, and there’s no hair dryer. The worst thing is that their towels have bad smell.
CCora T.This was our second time staying here as we travelled for work. No problems. Clean room. Air conditioning worked well. Ample parking. Your basic continental breakfast. Good price, and not too far from a few restaurant and fast food spots so that we can easily grab a bite to eat. For us, it’s a clean and comfy bed to stay in when we are in town for work.
