"Overall clean, comfortable and well located hotel. Most of the staff was nice and helpful. Free coffee and tea in the morning. A bunch of people didn’t try to actually help when I asked questions about the city like how to take the bus. Clean but small gym. Overall would go back!"
"Thank you so much for an incredible stay! We loved our room, the rate, the breakfast, gym, and the location. I will stay each time I visit Columbia. By far one of the best visits."
"Here it felt like Christmas morning every day complete with a hearty breakfast every morning! And the hospitality was truly top-notch. Too cold to swim, but I did get my workout on. Overall, it was a great experience."
"I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay to bring in the new years … or in general ! I will deff be back !! The views. The location. The inside is the hotel. Beyond perfect.
Great for walking. Great for walking with little ones. Everything worth seeing is soooo close. My daughter and I truly enjoyed it and still are enjoying ourselves."
"Shower hard to operate. No regular coffee in room, $200 deposit paid for incidentals at check in… today I have a bill charge taken out of $119.25, instead of the credit of $200 back . I had already paid the reservation in full to Trip.com before check in. Front desk staff was very rude during entire stay. Most problematic even still was that I did NOT have wifi connection during the entire stay! Had to use my cellular data in the room all during the night … front desk never resolved nor seemed concerned about not having wifi access , nor did they offer a solution or compensation. We sat out front of the hotel for over 3 hours trying to come up with the $200 credit card to “authorize” for incidentals. Not the best experience for my birthday or ever! Calling hotel now about the non return of my $200 and double paying for the room that we only in from 10:30 pm- 12:15 next day!"
"I love more location! My 3th time there in four months. A Brazilian’s steak restaurant right in front of the hotel is such a dream come true for a Brazilian living 5 years in the US. Thank GOD! 😍😍"
"The location is excellent. Unfortunately, the electric blinds couldn't be operated as the switch wasn't working. Also, on two separate days, they ran out of coffee and eggs at breakfast. Other than that, the breakfast was alright."
"I must say my children an I we have been throughout our share of hotels from marriotts to hiltons to just ur regular quality and I have to say by far my kids and I have been so welcomed and just felt like we are apart of a big family ... I have to give all props to me frank at the front desk ... From my reservation overnthebphone to in person ... He is quite an amazing person and has truly made our stay wonderful thank u mr frank .. I hope to come across more employees like him.in future ..."
"Highly recommend this downtown Columbia hotel! The location is perfect, with plenty of great restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond with their friendly and welcoming service. One of the highlights was the food truck in the lobby, serving up delicious eats that added to the overall experience. Can't wait to come back!"
"Wasn’t expecting the breakfast to be so good either; the bar food was beyond great"

Great
TTing YunStaying on campus was a very comfortable experience. With a gym and bike rental available downstairs, everything was super convenient. The only drawback was the lack of a main light in the room, but overall, it was a great place to stay.
GGuest UserMy only knock is the water pressure in the shower is lacking. I initially didn't think I would be able to take a shower as the water fell so close to the wall. After turning the hot water up higher than I normally would, the pressure increased enough to make it possible. Aside from that everything was great and the people were all nice that I interacted with. Will book here again when I travel to Columbia again.
Jjames michaelRoom picture on website didn't exactly match the room i got. The tv thought it was December 28, 2004 which meant the channel guide was useless (front desk said technician was coming next day). Our toilet was on and off running most of the night. The TV was off to the right side of the bed as opposed to right in front of it like most hotel rooms. Buffet breakfast had some odd hot alternatives versus the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage potatoes. Overall, just a 3 out of 5.
GGuest UserBooked room last minute through a third party site for a great price. Upon check in I was advised they did not have to room available in which the reservation was made for, SOOO instead I was upgraded to a MUCH better and bigger room at no additional cost! The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable I did not want to get out of it the next morning! The built in dispensers in the shower was convienant and saved me from having to dig out my shampoo conditioner and body for one night. The ladies were extremely friendly and helpful at the front desk and I felt comfortable in knowing that if I needed anything it wasnt a bother to them as it is for other places.Kids had fun swimming and we even got a late night workout in as the fitness room was open 24/7!!
GGuest UserI will start with the good. The shower was excellent and the bed was comfy.
Room 128 had no kleenex, clock, hangers or hairdryer. If MainStay is supposed to be like home, this place wasn't! Apparently they are trying to save the earth because the lighting is so dim you will not be reading in the room or applying makeup. Bathroom has a vessel sink which is a pain. There was a bar of soap and nowhere to put it. No plastic cups for brushing your teeth, but instead they have glass tumblers. Dangerous if one of those hits the tile bathroom floor! The web-site advertises free breakfast but there is no such thing. Then take it off of your web-site!
HHP BrooksI loved my stay here everything was good I loved the amenities that they had, even though I didn’t get into the pool I loved that they had one. And I didn’t have any soap in my bathroom.
HHarrisonThe hotel room itself was nice and spacious. The breakfast was sp**** and the employees were rude except for the front desk clerk. She was very nice but the folks in the breakfast area were rude to everyone and there was barely anything out to eat. We had to ask multiple times for any type of bread to run through the toaster. The eggs were actually a shade of green. I have photos and a video if you need them.
RRon StevensonStayed for drill. Property is in a nice area but us definitely dated. Would consider staying again, but I concur with previous posters; they do have a roach problem
GGuest UserStayed here for a Gamecocks football game. Great to avoid the traffic. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.
GGuest UserWe went out for breakfast about 8:15 no plates, no orange juice, no milk, no toast a couple of muffins and only enough batter for one waffle very disappointing. I had an appointment at the VA later and was expecting breakfast before I went
