Great
伊尔姆河畔普法芬霍芬霍根The proprietress was very enthusiastic and helped us book a car to the airport. The car drove very well and steadily, and it was cheaper than grab! Breakfast included, optional, the location is also good, quiet in the noisy, the room is clean and big. Our room has a small balcony, and it is very comfortable to sit on the balcony at night...I am generally satisfied.

GGuest UserThe location is superb, offering the convenience of a bustling area while maintaining a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. It's about a 10-minute walk to the pier for night cruises and only 5 minutes to the night market, making it perfect for families with young children. The hotel's amenities are also very satisfying. The overall antique decor is great for taking photos. Both swimming pools offer excellent photo opportunities day and night, creating a fantastic ambiance. I want to especially highlight the service, which was the most touching part of my stay: For Chinese tourists, the front desk staff proactively adds guests on WeChat, making it convenient to contact them if items are forgotten or needs arise, which is incredibly thoughtful. All the staff members are warm and polite, and they provide detailed explanations of the hotel's facilities and services, making guests feel at ease. Due to a personal health issue, when checking out, the hotel specially arranged staff to help carry my luggage to the car and bowed when bidding farewell. You could really feel their genuine sincerity in service. Receiving such care and attention from strangers in a foreign country was truly moving.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay the hotel, the staff is very helpful and speak good English. We were well served by the reception Ms Ha, who recommended places to eat. As we are celebrating our 32nd anniversary, the hotel has gone extra mile by giving us a complimentary bottle of red wine and a personally signed greeting card. The hotel is located near Han River and walkable to Indochina Mall, Han Market and many nice eateries nearby. We had a room overlooking the Dragon Bridge, can see the colourful lighted up cruises moving along the Han River in the evening. The breakfast is fantastic, with a good spread of Western, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. The roof top swimming pool has a panoramic view of the city of Danang, a wonderful place to chill and relax with a drink and music. Another reception Ms Queenie has recommended a good place for massage on the day of check out. A very good hotel, will surely come back again.

BBouangeunArrival & First Impression (7/10): Mandila Beach Hotel’s understated facade belies its prime location along Da Nang’s bustling My Khe Beach. The lobby exudes a contemporary minimalism, with natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows, casting soft shadows at midday. Acoustics are well-managed, ensuring hushed conversations despite the proximity to the entrance. A refreshing lemongrass spritz upon arrival was a thoughtful touch, though the welcome ritual lacked the personal flourish one might expect at this tier. Room / Suite Inspection (6.5/10): Initially assigned a room marred by an unpleasant bathroom odour, the staff promptly relocated me to a smaller, albeit odour-free, alternative due to full occupancy. While the room was impeccably clean, the compromise in size detracted from the overall experience. Natural light at golden hour was enchanting, highlighting the crisp, high-thread-count linens. The duvet, weighing a comforting 12 pounds, promised restful slumber. However, storage space was limited, and the tech offerings felt slightly outdated. Service & Staff Interactions (7.5/10): The staff demonstrated commendable responsiveness, particularly in rectifying the initial room issue. Their attentiveness was evident, yet there were moments where interactions veered towards the procedural rather than the intuitive. A memorable instance was a staff member’s recommendation for a local hidden gem, which enriched my stay considerably. Dining & F&B (6/10): Breakfast was serviceable, offering a decent selection of local and international fare. However, it lacked the finesse and creativity one might anticipate in a luxury setting. The eggs Benedict, while perfectly cooked, was served with a hollandaise that bordered on bland. The bar, situated on the rooftop, provided panoramic views and a well-curated cocktail menu, though service was inconsistent. Facilities & Amenities (7/10): The rooftop pool, maintained at a refreshing 26°C, was a sanctuary from the city’s heat. The gym, though compact, was equipped with modern apparatus. Spa services, while pleasant, did not quite reach the transformative heights expected. The hotel’s gardens, lush and meticulously maintained, offered a tranquil escape. Location & Context (8/10): Situated directly on My Khe Beach, Mandila Beach Hotel offers unparalleled access to the sand and sea. The neighborhood, a blend of local charm and tourist amenities, provides a genuine taste of Da Nang. However, the proximity to a busy road occasionally intrudes on the otherwise serene environment. Value Perception & Any Standout / Disappointing Elements (6.5/10): While the hotel offers a comfortable stay, certain elements fall short of justifying its premium pricing. The inconsistency in room size and service detracts from the overall value. Nonetheless, the location and rooftop amenities are commendable. Final Verdict + Score (7.0/10): Mandila Beach Hotel delivers a competent luxury experience, though it is marred by notable inconsistencies. It is a solid choice for travellers prioritising location and comfort, though those seeking a seamless, opulent stay may find better alternatives nearby. Who it’s for: Couples and solo travellers seeking a beachfront retreat in Da Nang. I would not return but might recommend the Anantara Hoi An Resort for a more consistently luxurious experience.

MMensoreeeStayed for one night here initially with plans on coming back for a second stay. Overall the facilities here are better quality and function than at those other smaller hotels along the beach strip. Water pressure was very strong and the rooms are spacious, as was the lobby. Very grand and majestic. The hotel is slightly older compared to what is in the neighborhood but still classy and elegant. I want to highlight that there is room for Improvement on the housekeeping and maintenance. Particularly the ventilation. The room had a dusty air con smell, very typical in hotels above 15-20 years. Could literally see the dust in on the false concave ceiling area. But this place is less than 10 Years old so the smell should not be there yet. Breakfast spread was great, but again fell short of the 5 star standard that Melia is known for in other developed countries. Also the service, it’s more of 4 star rather than a 5 star. I say this because in the Melia at yangon, Myanmar, they offered turn down service and sweets and they kept calling to ensure i was comfortable. I stayed also in the Melia Hue and I think my comment there was largely similar in concept.

GGuest User1. We received a complimentary afternoon tea set for two during our one-day stay, and it was exquisite. 2. The restaurant on the 29th floor has very reasonable prices, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. 3. The infinity pool is incredibly relaxing and provides a great atmosphere.

NNulli_SecundusI really wanted to like this stay, but they made it challenging. The front desk was friendly and welcoming and when I checked into my room, I felt it was odd that there was a curtain on the opposite side if the room from where you entered, so I took a small peek out of the curtain to notice a window looking out to another wing of of an elevator bank. So I tried to ignore it and closed the curtain tight when I noticed a deep and wide Crack from the ceiling, down the wall, and across the floor. I end up going to sleep and was awoken with bright sunlight shining into my room from the curtain area and when I rolled over in my bed I saw an Indian man staring at me and then saying, ”Go, Go, Go”! To a friend or partner and they darted onto the elevator and disappeared. I then realized that the curtain wasn't covering a window but double doors which were unlocked for other guests to just open if they wanted. It was extremely traumatizing and invasive of my privacy and security. I spoke with Trip's customer service and they were exceptional in helping me resolve the issue and getting my room changed. Unfortunately, the next night a hotel maintenance worker came barging into my room without knocking and I had to ask, ”What's going on”? And the worker said, ”Oh. Sorry. Sorry” and left. The hotel staff said the worker got the wrong room that he was supposed to do maintenance to. The front desk manager (Anna) was apologetic and kind. On a positive note, the free breakfast buffet was delightful as long as you got their at 06:00am before the guests from India arrived because the Indians would finger and touch and use their hands constantly when getting food instead of using the provided utensils. Utterly disgusting. The buffet staff were way too kind in constantly reminding these Indian guests to use the utensils because Vietnam isn't the unsanitary country like India is. There were two different pools on the roof but I would never swim or soak in those pools because of the oil slick scum on the top of the water after the guests from India swam in the pools that they left behind.

PPatcharin JongjaiService: The staff being friendly, attentive, and helpful. Facilities: The hotel is in a great location, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-designed. The rooftop pool and spa are favorably. Food: The breakfast buffet gets high marks for being excellent and with a wide variety. Overall, The hotel offers a great combination of friendly service, a convenient location, and comfortable facilities. RRuan Ming Jun (The Good King)The hotel looks good at first glance – the view is beautiful, the room is spacious and nicely decorated. On the surface, it feels like a quality stay. But that’s where the positives end. The amenities inside the room are very basic, and honestly feel cheap compared to the standard of the room. Considering the price (which is not cheap at all), the overall impression is underwhelming. Breakfast was a complete disaster – poor quality, lack of variety, and far below the standard expected from a hotel of this level. It left a really bad taste for the rest of the stay. On top of that, the front desk staff were not friendly. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was inconveniencing them every time I approached. Hospitality is supposed to be about warmth and service, but this hotel failed badly in that regard. Verdict: Beautiful view and spacious room cannot make up for the poor service, terrible breakfast, and disappointing amenities. Definitely not worth the price. I would not stay here again.

GGuest UserThe reception staff was great, friendly and helpful. We have been communicating in English with some otherwise Google translator was in use 😀 breakfast - buffet, not bad. The location is just a few minutes walk from the nice beach, shops and restaurants on the main street just 2 min away from the hotel. 20 min walk from the Dragon Bridge. The only thing I would point to was the room's cleanliness. Otherwise it was OK.
