The location was highly convenient, allowing easy access to major attractions such as Table Mountain and the Waterfront. The apartment-style layout suited our family well, offering sufficient space for luggage, children, and downtime. The room was larger than expected and exceeded our initial expectations in comfort. While there was a slight lingering smoke smell upon arrival, airing out the room improved the environment. Staff were helpful and accommodating, especially when allowing us to store luggage prior to check-in. The overall experience balanced independence with hotel-style convenience. It was especially helpful during a busy sightseeing phase of the trip. HAVN offered a reliable, well-located option for families seeking flexibility and space in Cape Town."

"This is not my first time visiting this place but this time I don’t want to lie I was very disappointed. I got charged 200 rand cause my pillow had oil(hair oil) I have braids on and additional to that they said there was blood on the sheets which was so weird cause I did not bleed Mind you this blood was only mentions after I told them that I will come back tomorrow cause paying 200 Rand for small smudges of oil on the pillow cash didn’t make sense then the receptionist went on to say we saw blood Then they said there was food sauces as well ..I mean I’m staying there and I was here for 2 nights ain’t no way am I going to leave the place spotless But the receptionist was just being rude which was unnecessary Like I said this wasn’t the first time coming here I always come and never have I ever gone through this even after staying for more days with friends I just think it’s drama to charge me for oil on my pillow cause I slept on it it’s bound to happen a"

"I extended my stay multiple days at the hotel since I had no complaints. But when I first checked in the shower pipe wasn't working properly and the whole handle for the water valve came off. I called reception and they came to fix it right away. After that it was fine. Water pressure could be better but oh well."

"I had heard it was in a not-so-safe area, but there were no issues as cars could pull right up to the hotel entrance, and there's a security guard at the parking entrance, which made traveling by ride-sharing app perfectly fine. However, I'd definitely advise against walking, even for short distances. The staff were very helpful, and my stay was comfortable. I was too lazy to go out, so I ate at the hotel's restaurant several times, and it was excellent – delicious and inexpensive. I'd love to stay here again when I next visit Cape Town. I've attached photos of the delicious burger and T-bone steak I had at the restaurant."

"Such a great hotel option, definitely coming back. Lots within walking distance, very friendly staff and the rooms were very nice. Only reason for not putting 5 stars on facilities is because the pool could be easily heated, since it's not that big (it isn't, so the water is VERY cold), the rooftop bar could have some food options, even if just sandwiches. Nevertheless, both pool and rooftop are great, so it isn't criticism as such, just a couple of things that could just make it perfect!"

"As soon as my friend and I, we were welcomed with smiles and positive vibes. The workers working at the front desk, especially Freda (I called her Big Freda) was the loveliest person to talk to. Very helpful, humorous and a motherly figure. She deserves a raise and she was the best part of my stay. The room is also really beautiful, but they very strict. No guests after 9pm. But an amazing stay nonetheless. Thanks Big Freda!"

"The hotel's location is good; there's a clothes market nearby, and it's a 7-minute walk to the colorful houses. The airport is 25 minutes away. The room is clean and includes a hairdryer, fridge, water, shampoo, and soap. A kettle and iron are available on the floor. The linens are good, but the bed is a bit small for two people. Breakfast is ordinary, not luxurious, but you won't go hungry, and the coffee is good. The price is decent. We only stayed one night, and everything was perfectly fine. If you go to the very top of the hotel, there's a view of Table Mountain, and there's a very simple gym."

"The location truly can’t be beat — everything is within walking distance, which made my stay super convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the on-site restaurant was excellent. However, the rooms felt a bit dated, and the carpet could really use a deep clean. My allergies were triggered with a runny nose and itchy eyes, which made the stay a little less comfortable. The bedding was clean and the bed was super comfortable though, with a reliable AC/heater. It was unfortunately disappointing that there was no gym available for guests. Overall, I’d still recommend this hotel primarily for its unbeatable location and great service, but I hope they consider updating the rooms, giving the carpets a thorough cleaning, and adding a fitness facility in the future."
