"Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both.
Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch.
My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room.
My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom.
If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways."

"I had an early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming, followed by a morning train from Kunming to Dali, so obviously my energy was completely drained. However, the moment I arrived at this hotel on 27 May 2026, the warm welcome from the staff instantly made me feel better.
They even allowed me to check in early so I could rest and kindly offered me breakfast too, which I truly appreciated after the long journey. The hotel is super strategically located inside Dali Old Town — very easy to find, surrounded by everything, and honestly super cute!
My room was amazing and so comfortable that I had one of the deepest sleeps ever to recover from the exhaustion! Before leaving, I even gifted my Nike Air Force sneakers, which were still in good condition, to one of the hotel staff. Hopefully they fit him well! 😄
Totally recommended this hotel if you’re visiting Dali."

"Very satisfied with the stay in this hotel and we had peaceful sleep every night. The owner is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived she helped us with our luggages and carry it to 3rd floor. When we checked out, she helped us to bring down our heavy luggages and also gave us a box of flower cake as souvenir. There is a washing machine equipped with dryer which we love it so much as we can do our laundry daily. In addition, they provide free mineral water that we can top up ourselves when needed to make sure we stay hydrated. This hotel is very near to Dali Ancient Town and very convenient for us to stroll along the town. Another plus point for this hotel is it is equipped with smart technology. Whenever we felt lazy we will ask Xiao Du to help us with the settings in the room and even can helped us to set alarm."

"I booked both a twin room and a king room with a view, and both were absolutely beautiful. GGuest UserThe first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits.
The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle.
The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing.
The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive.
If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again.

The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the beef and omelets. I was surprised it's served until noon.
Electric scooters are available for rent right next door, which is super convenient for a leisurely ride along Erhai Lake.
The stay was quiet and relaxing. The entertainment options like curling, foosball, and billiards were all great too.

GGuest UserI saw Erhai Lake, admired Cangshan Mountain, and explored the ancient city, only to discover that the most beautiful scenery was actually right inside the hotel! 😄
In the evening, I even got to witness a breathtaking sunset over Erhai and Cangshan. It was incredibly therapeutic. Even though I've seen the sea before, the beauty of Erhai is truly unique and I like it even more.
The hotel boasts an excellent viewing platform, perfect for taking photos or simply unwinding.
The rooms and lobby are spotlessly clean. When extending my stay, I just had to inform the staff and they would tidy up the room, showing thoughtful service and meticulous hygiene.
It's very close to popular attractions like Yunxiang Mountain, Ideal State, and Xingsheng Bridge, offering convenient direct access.
I was also very pleased with the room. It had a large floor-to-ceiling window, providing excellent natural light, and I loved the layout. The inclusion of a Laifen hairdryer was a generous touch and it worked wonderfully.
Compared to the hotels we've stayed in Malaysia and Thailand, this place is simply paradise! Even hotels in Kunming fall short; they don't have such a magnificent view. Next time, I definitely want to try their sea view room!

AAdib0313The location of the hotel is perfect — you can walk out the hotel and enter the old town with brightly lights all around and gathering of people and shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean and very unique designed with flowers and koi pond, outside seating area. The main reason to book this place would be the host. She was very helpful and is there to solve any issue or concern you have. I had issue with my eSIM network and wanted to cancel and move to a new location and she happily agreed and allowed it but also provided a solution later which made me book the place again! Amazing stay with lovely host.

The complimentary airport and train station transfers are a huge plus, and the service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. They proactively help with all your luggage, big or small. The transfer vehicles are also very comfortable and spotless. Upon check-in, everything in the room is free except for the red wine – instant noodles, drinks, beer, water, coffee, yogurt, and Yunnan black tea are all complimentary. They bring a generous amount of fresh fruit daily, and there's 24-hour rice noodle service, which is a lifesaver for anyone not accustomed to local food; you'll never go hungry. Every evening, there's also tremella soup available. The front desk even has complimentary snacks, fruits, and flower cakes for guests to enjoy. And the room itself? Speechless. The videos and photos on their website are an exact, 1:1 representation of the actual rooms – absolutely no photo trickery. What you see is precisely what you get. The room is impeccably clean, and the array of amenities is extensive. My parents are usually quite picky about hotels, but they absolutely adored this one, praising everything from the room facilities to the balcony views and the spaciousness of the suite. They insisted that on their next trip to Dali, they must stay here again. And most importantly, the staff – from the front desk to the transfer drivers, the F&B team, the ladies who help with luggage, the gentlemen who deliver rice noodles and tremella soup at night, and the three cleaning ladies – everyone is incredibly polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. The owner of this hotel is truly fortunate to have assembled such a fantastic team. The hotel's location, combined with the suite facilities and the wonderful staff, makes for a top-tier experience. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone visiting Dali *must* stay at this hotel at least once – it's absolutely worth every penny!

The staff member was very friendly and helped me with my takeout orders multiple times. They even offered complimentary late-night dessert. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

YYuanyouyuan.This guesthouse was a real gem, easily a full five-star rating! The entire place is an elegant Bai-style courtyard, with quaint bridges and flowing water, creating a serene and refined atmosphere. Despite being right inside Dali Ancient City, it's completely shielded from the street noise, offering a rare sense of tranquility amidst the bustling area. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city on foot. We booked a mountain-view room with an exclusive terrace, and sitting there in the evening, enjoying the breeze, the view was so relaxing and truly set the perfect mood. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was neat and fresh, and the smart bathroom amenities were convenient and easy to use; all the hardware was very well-maintained. The owner was kind and thoughtful, and the check-in process was simple and smooth. They weren't intrusive at all, but were always quick to respond if we had any questions. Overall, the guesthouse has a strong ancient charm, quiet and healing. After a day of exploring the ancient city, returning to the courtyard was incredibly stress-relieving. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the ancient city.

GGuest UserThis hotel truly feels like home. They offer complimentary afternoon tea with coconut latte cake, fruits, and flower pastries. In the evening, you get free iced rose vinegar. Breakfast is incredibly rich, featuring rice noodles, porridge, fried dough sticks, milk, soy milk, yogurt, and a nine-grid selection of dishes. It feels like I've been eating non-stop since check-in! The staff also helped me with my luggage both when I checked in and checked out. Plus, there's a popular swing photo spot on the hotel's rooftop. Definitely highly recommended!
