"You can book your train ticket from the airport to JR Sapporo Station via Trip.com. At the gate, find the blue automatic ticket machine and use the QR code provided to get your paper ticket. Once you arrive at Sapporo Station, transfer to the Namboku subway line, two stops towards Makomanai, and get off at Susukino Exit 4. Enter the mall and go up to the 7th floor to check in. The hotel's location is excellent, and it's very clean and new. I stayed here twice during my trip. Do not take the airport bus; the intervals are long, and you'll freeze while waiting in line in the cold wind."

"The hotel is 5 mins walk from Susukino underground station and around 20-30 mins walk from Sapporo station. Breakfast was extensive and definitely the highlight for the stay with options like hotate and tuna sashimi as well as hokkaido crab legs! The room was small which was typical for Japanese hotels but clean and functional. There was also a public bath but was usually crowded. If you are staying at this hotel, definitely go for the breakfast!"

"For our last night, we chose to stay near Sapporo Station. Initially, we thought about taking the bus, but it's too slow, so we ended up taking the JR train to the airport. If you're traveling with kids, I'd recommend booking reserved seats, especially during peak season, as non-reserved seats might not be available. For shopping and dining, I personally found Tanukikoji to be more convenient. This area near Sapporo Station gets very quiet after the department stores close at night. We ended up taking a taxi to Don Quijote in Tanukikoji, and it was bustling there... We booked a twin room, and for Japan, it was quite spacious. We dropped off our luggage the day before check-in, and the staff were very friendly and even helped us carry our bags when we checked in. The hotel is very close to Rokkatei, and there's a 7-Eleven right across the street. Plus, the airport shuttle stops right in front of the hotel, though it only runs four times a day (in the morning). I also recommend the 'little bird cookies' from the Shiki Hokkaido store at Sapporo Station."

"I made a mistake in my booking; this hotel is close to Central Park, but it's a few subway stops away from the JR station. Hokkaido really doesn't have many elevators, but luckily, it's close to the subway exit! Plus, there's a JR shuttle service available! There's a timetable at the entrance, and you just need to book in advance – it was a real lifesaver! It's also close to the soup curry restaurant shown in the picture, within walking distance, which was a pleasant stroll."

"Our stay at Cross Hotel Sapporo was nothing short of amazing! We are a group of 5 & were traveling around Hokkaido, starting & ending off in Sapporo. We emailed the hotel to request if they could store some luggage for us till we return, as well as help us with restaurant reservations, and the staff were super prompt & extremely nice to accede to our requests. We even got upgraded to bigger rooms when we returned! We always felt so welcomed by the staff who were very attentive & so willing to help us. Needless to say rooms were very comfortable & onsen was great too (equipped with Dyson hairdryers). Location is also good, accessible via an underground passage all the way from the Sapporo station to Marumi Coffee Stand (so convenient cos it was raining when we arrived). Thank you so much for the great experience, I will gladly return to Cross Hotel!"

"The room is not that big, but there is enough space, you can even easily keep your suitcase open. The staff is very responsive. The location is just great - everything you need and even more is nearby. If necessary, you can wash your clothes here, which is very convenient. The bed is very comfortable, the soundproofing is good, or I just didn't have neighbors :)"

"Location: Unbeatable. An easy sub-10-minute walk to Sapporo JR Station, even with a 30” and a 20” suitcase. Room Size & Design: Perfectly adequate and smartly designed. The inclusion of both a full-height mirror and a medium-sized wall mirror at the desk was brilliant for makeup. Coffee Amenities: Above and beyond! The room had instant coffee, creamer, and sugar, plus a Nespresso machine. They generously provide 6 capsules per day (we enjoyed 12 capsules over our 2-night stay). Verdict: A top choice for convenience, comfort, and a quality caffeine fix in Sapporo."

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Emion. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location is excellent—convenient to city attractions, transport and shop, yet quiet enough to relax. I also really appreciated the delicious breakfast, hot spa, beautiful pool, or efficient housekeeping]. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations."

"The room was decent, just a bit on the small side. Everything inside was neat and clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us solve some practical issues, we're very grateful to them. Their breakfast was also great – refined, substantial, and tasty. With a wide variety of options each day, we had plenty to choose from. Since we stayed for four days, the breakfast was a convenient, delicious, and nutritious way to start our mornings, saving us the trouble of buying food at the supermarket outside."

"The rooms were very clean, the hotel felt new, and the service was excellent, though it was quite pricey. Each bed came with both a soft and a firm pillow, which was a nice touch. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 children, and booked two standard rooms. The Ctrip booking process was a bit confusing; it seemed to charge for 3 adults for what appeared to be a 2-adult-1-child setup. At check-in, the front desk confirmed our booking for three adults, but helpfully clarified that children under 5 dine for free. We were also assigned a triple room, which was a nice bonus, although I'm not sure if it was related to the initial pricing discrepancy or a standard hotel amenity. For those unsure about breakfast, a tip would be to book your stay without it and then pay for it directly at the hotel. The hotel's public bath (onsen) and gym were both quite small. Breakfast quality was decent. During our two-day stay, we found the pastries to be quite exquisite. There was a live cooking station offering asparagus and cheese, as well as a delicate, made-to-order scallop dish. While beautifully presented, the scallop dish didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavor. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the JR station. Directly opposite the hotel is an Izakaya called 'Saki no Kura' which is very traditional, welcoming, and delicious, serving sashimi, grilled dishes, and a variety of seasonal specialties – definitely better than the options found in shopping malls. Hokkaido University is also just across the road, which was perfect for letting the kids run around. Overall, aside from the price, everything else was fantastic."
