Atour S Hotel Hongqiao Center Shanghai Reviews

We stayed at Atour Hotel while visiting Shanghai with my child for a performance. The location is excellent, only about 200-300 meters from the subway entrance, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The hotel has a distinct charm, with its lobby full of books giving it a very stylish and unique feel. The rooms also boast exceptionally high ceilings, over 3 meters, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other hotels I've experienced. The room was incredibly spacious and featured a practical wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The room's design truly evoked an art gallery vibe. While very clean, I wouldn't classify it as particularly luxurious. Those accustomed to luxury or high-star hotels might find the facilities less impressive, but for a typical family trip, it's an absolutely fantastic option. A special mention must go to the bedding, which was truly exceptional. Both the mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable, ensuring a very relaxing and stress-relieving night's sleep.

The environment was clean and tidy, and the room was spacious. However, there was one major, unforgivable issue: On the second morning of our stay, at 8:30 AM, while we were still asleep, someone actually used a key card to open our door! I had to loudly ask 'Who's there?' three times before they finally realized their mistake and apologized. This was absolutely infuriating.

My experience at Atour far exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff's smiles were warm and genuine, like a gentle autumn breeze. They proactively helped with my luggage during check-in, thoughtfully brought local tea bags to my room after I'd settled in, and even remembered my preference for warm water when I returned late. These subtle details revealed their genuine attentiveness. The cleanliness of the room was a pleasant surprise: the tabletops and mirrors were spotless, and even the corners under the bed were perfectly clean. The bathrobes felt crisp and had a sun-kissed freshness, completely putting my mind at ease about hotel hygiene. The facilities are thoughtfully designed for travelers' needs: the desk was at the perfect height for working, there were USB ports by the bed, and the soundproofing was excellent – no outside noise could penetrate. What I loved most were their tea sets and the reading nook. Brewing a cup of tea and enjoying a book there, all my travel fatigue instantly melted away. An Atour like this truly deserves to be my first choice for all future travels.

This hotel's location is good for family journey. There are subway station and many of the shopping mall, convenien store and restaurants. I willing to recommend this hotel to them who visit Shanghai with family.

Enjoy our stay in A tour. The location is fantastic, very close to subway station, restaurants and shopping. The service is excellent, they are so helpful, and friendly. Room is huge. They also offer 24 hour laundry service for free of charge which is so convenient. Will be back again for sure

The reception officer Ms Eva was specially helpful as I don’t speak chinese helped me reach my train , flights and meeting on time will definitely stay again this service level

Lovely and very helpful staffs .Housekeeping staffs are friendly and ensuring we have clean rooms n waters for us to come to. Heartfelt thanks to Zhi Kwang for bringing Mr Kwa to A&E when he was unwell and also prepared his meal too.Mr Kaw was very touch and grateful for that. Great work !keep it up ! See you all again!

A few things to say. This was my second stay this hotel, and this time I am glad I haven’t had my family with me. 1. COLD ROOM The room was so cold, even though I tried to adjust the temperature with the A/C it felt like the big glass closed window isn’t properly sealed and cold air from outside was entering the room. 2. LANGUAGE PROBLEMS. I know I am china, but if you work in hotel, special hotel chains and have a regular number of international guests, you should be able to speak a certain english level. I had issue during my check in, and questions that they couldn’t answer me, and also gave me wrong information. 3. BREAKFAST, ok, but could be better!
