We were in town for a concert with my child, and the hotel staff proactively called us beforehand to confirm our check-in details. We arrived at the hotel around 11 PM, and the front desk staff were incredibly quick with the check-in process, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel!
Moving on to the room, we had a river view room this time. It was quite spacious and impeccably clean. For example, the electric kettle was spotless, inside and out – no water stains whatsoever. This really matters to someone like me who's a bit particular about cleanliness. The bedding was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect, offering just the right amount of support without being too soft.
Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast. I honestly didn't have high expectations, but the breakfast at MGM Shanghai truly blew me away! Unlike the standard, often unremarkable breakfasts at many star hotels, the selection here was incredibly rich and diverse. They had a live noodle station (the scallion oil noodles are a must-try!), freshly prepared seafood congee, and preserved egg and lean pork congee – all tasting absolutely delicious. Especially when compared to another five-star hotel we stayed at the very next day, even my daughter couldn't help but exclaim, 'I really miss MGM's breakfast!'

The hotel is dated, so a lot of the amenities have been thoroughly used. The lockers and changing area for the swimming pool is very old and disgusting. The pool is very nice still though. The workout room is old but very useful. The room itself is nice but once again, showing its age. If you are ok with dated hotels, but still great service, you will love this hotel. If you want to pay the same price but just get updated everything try a newer hotel. Also if you think it’s near the train station… it’s still about a 10-15 min walk from it. If it’s hot or raining, you will suffer a bit. Metro stop is relatively close.

I was headed to AI Tower area, this location is fantastic. It is just a short walk away. The entrance starts with a book shop cafe and the hotel lobby is located on the second floor. There are a number of different room type and facing. My room faced a building under construction next door but it is quiet. Probably account for the reasonable cost of the room. Wash basin waste water cannot be properly drained which was feedback to the staff. Waterfront area in the evening is quite happening with many F&B options. The staff is helpful and friendly. They provided a late checkout at 2pm. Will I book it again ? Absolutely.

Very new hotel with great amenities and decent breakfast. Close to shops, dining and metro station. Loved the free self laundry facilities which had notifications via WeChat to let you know when clothes are washed/dry. Friendly staff and great services. Only downside was the building wide central air conditioning which was turned up a bit high for our liking.

Considering the price, it's one of the better options in the vicinity. Parking is available right outside (free, but subject to availability), or you can park at the Grand Skylight Hotel's lot, which is about 100 meters away. There's a convenience store and a beef noodle shop right downstairs. It's also quite close to the Shanghai Botanical Garden, perfect for a morning stroll during summer.
Facilities: There's a microwave in the common area, which is very convenient. The mini-fridge in the room even has a small freezer compartment, not just a cooler.
Service: The receptionist was very patient and friendly on the phone.

My stay at Atour completely exceeded my expectations! During check-in, the front desk agent proactively upgraded my twin room to a free room. This unexpected surprise completely melted away my travel fatigue.
Entering the room, my first impression was cleanliness, comfort, and warmth. The layout was well-organized, the mattress and pillows were comfortable, and crucially, the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a restful night's sleep. The mini-fridge in the room was incredibly practical, perfect for chilling drinks and fruit in the summer.
Most touching was the exquisite gift the staff presented upon check-out. It felt so nice to be thought of. From the amenities to the service, every detail at Atour is meticulously crafted. I highly recommend it! Atour's service lives up to its reputation, and I'll definitely stay there again.

I booked this hotel because I was going to visit the graves during the Qingming Festival. I booked this hotel because it was close to the South Station. I found out that the shower head in the bathroom was broken when I was taking a shower at night. It was too late and I couldn't ask the waiter to fix it. I could only hold it in my hand.

The ambiance is lovely, and the service is top-notch. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, even driving down to assist us. Our room was wonderfully bright, offering a beautiful distant view of Taihu Lake. Breakfast the next morning was also a delightful spread of Wuxi specialties. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Wuxi.

From check-in guidance to demand response, they are meticulous and efficient, especially the night duty staff who can solve problems in time. The room design focuses on the balance between practicality and beauty. The dry and wet separated bathroom, comfortable bedding and intelligent control system improve the living quality. Some room types are also equipped with landscape balconies or special decorations. The geographical advantage is obvious, close to the subway station or the entrance of the scenic spot, and the surrounding catering and shopping facilities are complete. In terms of catering, the breakfast variety covers popular Chinese and Western dishes, and freshly ground coffee and local snacks are particularly recommended.
