The front desk staff were very polite, and check-in was a breeze with hardly any wait time. It certainly wasn't as bad as some reviews made it out to be (I almost didn't book because of them!). The room's cleanliness was also much better than what I'd read in other reviews; perhaps it varies by room type. We received a room upgrade, and the view was fantastic. The Shanhaijing light show at night was incredibly spectacular. Our butler, Bruce, was incredibly attentive. He proactively connected with us on WeChat in advance to ensure smooth communication, always responded promptly to our queries, and even provided supplies, keeping our kids well-stocked with drinks. We're very grateful! Overall, the experience was wonderful. Having visited Shanghai numerous times, the Deep Pit Hotel definitely offers a distinct and truly unique experience. I highly recommend everyone to check it out.

I booked this hotel for my sisters visiting from abroad, as it's an international establishment. They were very pleased with their stay; both the facilities and service were excellent. This will definitely be our preferred hotel for all future visits. The hotel is located in a bustling area of the old town, with street food and shopping right outside, making it incredibly convenient.

This is officially my favorite resort in the world! Located in the outskirts of Shanghai, Amanyangyun allows you to experience heaven on Earth. The moment we checked into the hotel, the service of the entire staff made us feel so welcomed and special. Our suite in the Ming Pavilion was also so spacious and luxurious. Although the resort is located far away from the heart of Shanghai, the cultural experience classes, morning fitness classes, spa, the three restaurants on site, and more keep you entertained the entire stay. Of the three restaurants on site, we enjoyed the hot pot place the most as we loved the freshness of the seafood. We got to relax at the spa a little too but next time I want to spend a lot more time there. It was so relaxing and nice. I will definitely be back at Amanyangyun again!

Great location, very convenient for Wanda Plaza, and the surrounding views are also lovely. Alice at the front desk was particularly friendly and welcoming. Her smile was sweet, and she noticed my baby had come downstairs without shoes, so she thoughtfully offered a pair of disposable slippers for children. Such a sweet and caring gesture! 🫰 Overall, our experience was comfortable.
However, there are a few areas that could be improved:
1) The lobby air conditioning was too warm 🥵. For an international 5-star hotel, this sort of hardware issue is quite unexpected and should be addressed.
2) Collecting food deliveries was quite inconvenient. I suggest implementing a system where robots can deliver food to guests' rooms, which would greatly enhance guest convenience and also help reduce elevator usage, as the hotel only has four elevators.
3) The extra bed fee of 233 RMB per night felt a bit too expensive 😂, especially when considering your overall room rates.

This is our second visit to Songjiang with the kids, and we opted for this economy hotel once more. Its location is excellent, right within Wanda Plaza. The mall is just outside the hotel, making dining and shopping very convenient, and you can also catch a movie or simply relax. The hotel offered a complimentary room upgrade, and upon entering, the room was very clean and had no unpleasant odors. They provided children's amenities, including a step stool and kids' slippers, which was a thoughtful and convenient touch. Though the breakfast buffet was modest in size, it offered a good variety of basic food items. A short taxi ride (minimum fare) can take you to attractions like Happy Valley, Maya Beach Water Park, Sheshan, Chenshan Botanical Garden, and Guangfulin. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money.

During the off-peak May Day holiday, the first choice for an outing to Sheshan is Kaiyuan Mingting! The hotel lobby is spacious and bright, the front desk Xiaoqian is warm and thoughtful, the check-in procedure is efficient and convenient, and the business king room with a large terrace is upgraded for free.
The room is clean and comfortable. When I saw the children, I took the initiative to provide children's supplies. There are many plugs in the room, which is very convenient. The network speed is also very fast. It is suitable for business and parents.
The hotel is next to Qingpu Sam's Club, which is very convenient for shopping. It takes 20 minutes to drive to Sheshan Forest Park.
Overall, the overall experience exceeded expectations, and I will choose here next time!

Booking our room on Trip.com the same day was super convenient for a spur-of-the-moment getaway. The hotel's atmosphere is fantastic; this is our second time here. It's perfectly set up for families with kids. The artificial beach is great for sand-digging (though our kids are past that stage now). We explored all the pools, big and small, and the kids absolutely loved the waterslides. There's a 'Petopia' for petting cats, and outdoors, you'll find activities like rock climbing, zip-lining, and a high ropes course. There's also a petting zoo, but we felt its value for money was just okay. The hotel's buffet breakfast was also quite good. Our room featured a balcony with a great view and was very spacious!

This hotel is a ten-minute drive from Sheshan. The underground garage is convenient for parking. The price during the May Day holiday is only one-third of the scenic area. The cost performance is very high. The executive suite is very large. I contacted Xiao Zhang at the front desk before staying. I checked in late, and the room service prepared welcome snacks, which was very considerate. The hotel environment is also spacious and comfortable. If you come to Songjiang to play, you can consider this place

We are a family of four and had a generally pleasant stay. The front desk staff were friendly and thoughtful—they brought us fresh fruits and snacks every day, which was a lovely touch. The hotel also offers a self-service laundry room, which is very convenient for travelers. Our room had a beautiful lake view, and the location was quite good—there’s a shopping mall about 1km away, making it easy to dine and shop.
However, one inconvenience was that the room’s power system didn’t allow us to keep the electricity on while we were out. This meant the air conditioning and TV turned off every time we left, so the room was always hot when we returned. Breakfast was decent, mostly featuring local Chinese dishes, but there were very few Western options.
Overall, a comfortable stay with warm service, but the room power setup could be improved.

The lady at the front desk was very nice. She gave us an appropriate delay in check-out time depending on the number of rooms. The room she arranged was also very good and quiet, clean and tidy, with complete facilities and equipment. There were blankets in the corridor, which was very quiet. The surrounding environment was also good, with good greenery. The bed was very soft and comfortable. If the pillow was not suitable, she would help to change it in time. The hotel's location was also good, and it was convenient to travel. The gym and laundry were very convenient to use. It deserves a five-star rating.

You can request to share the twin beds in the guest room. The bedding is not as big as the hotel recommended, but the front desk gave us a large thermos for us to use for Chinese medicine. It was very comfortable, so we slept well the second night.
Breakfast is still satisfactory
Parking is free, but you need to report your license plate number to the front desk every day, which can be more user-friendly.
I checked in in the afternoon on the first day. I went back to the hotel in the evening and told the front desk that the two orders were all activated and the room card could be used for two nights. In fact, when I came back from the exam at noon the next day, I still found that I needed to update my room card, which felt a bit outrageous, hahahahaha
I forgot to mention that I borrowed two umbrellas for the two days of exams and it rained for two days, which was really great.
Driving home the next day after taking the exam, I passed by Songjiang Yunjian Granary to check in for dinner. I was full of happiness.
