I read the reviews saying it was a state-owned hotel in Fengxian, so I was looking forward to staying there. I was not satisfied with the hotel experience. First, someone got stuck in the elevator, and then the hair dryer in the room took half an hour to dry my hair 70-80%. This was the first time I encountered this in so many hotels. I recorded a video of the hair dryer blowing next to the disposable towels, and the towels didn't move much. It was blown from 11:30 to 12 o'clock, and the paper towels were used up after just a few sheets of paper on the day of check-in. I could still hear various door slamming sounds when I went to bed at 1 o'clock in the morning. The sound insulation effect was not very good. I suggest that employees stay in their own hotel to experience it.

The room was clean and tidy. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, very close to the subway station. I was traveling with my child to Jiaotong University, and a taxi ride only took seven minutes. Late-Night Noodles: After a fun day out with my child on Nanjing East Road, we returned to the hotel past 10 PM. We could still get noodles, which saved us from having to buy a late-night snack. The staff were enthusiastic and kind. The most entertaining part was the hotel robot, Ququ (蛐蛐), standing behind the staff. It had such a stubborn personality! The robot encountered a problem and refused to leave the elevator. A staff member told it to exit the elevator on its own, but it retorted, 'I'm working, don't disturb me!' There was no other option but to turn it off and carry it out of the elevator. 😂😂😂

This is a magical and interesting hotel! Not only does the exterior look like a ship, but the interior decoration is also a ship theme. When I checked in, the front desk was very nice and upgraded me to a king-size bed room with a 270-degree view of the lush garden. There are all kinds of entertainment facilities in the hotel, and there is also a craft beer bar, which is really crafted by the hotel's own machines. The yellow beer and dark beer I ordered were both very good. The hotel breakfast is also very rich. We sat in the view seat next to the pool and had a unique flavor.

Excellent service, they are quick to respond and very helpful. We changed to a villa coz we have a dog with us. The room that we stayed though had a really strong smell that triggered sinuses, they gave us a machine but it did not help at all. We have to open the sliding door the whole time to minimize the smell and to have air circulation. Few cobwebs and some bugs in the room, a thorough cleaning will solve this issue. The location is perfect if you want to get away from the city center and have a great relaxing time with the family. Awesome facilities! We enjoyed the outdoor pool so much and the green field for your fur baby to walk around. Very thoughtful service if you have a fur baby with you, they provide a bed, blanket and some toys, and accessible poop bags everywhere 🐶. A great place to stay and have a relaxing time with the family.

Last night, I went to Campanile Hotel, which is a mid-to-high-end brand under Jinjiang. It is located on Baituan Road, with convenient transportation. As soon as you enter the door, you will experience the French style. The service of the front desk lady is very enthusiastic. She actively asks guests what they need and upgrades their rooms. It can be said that the service is very meticulous and the check-in is very fast. The overall decoration style of the room is this French romantic and simple style, clean and tidy. The room is very large, spacious and bright, clean and tidy, spotless, and the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The toiletries are also the French Jiaomu brand Earth series, which is very high-end. The room has a high-definition TV and a high-speed wifi signal. You don’t have to worry about the poor mobile phone signal at all. Indonesian Java coffee and Belgian caramel biscuits are also prepared, which is very considerate. Free tea bags and mineral water, if not enough, call the front desk and use the machine to send them to you, which is very high-end. The French buffet breakfast is rich and varied, with salads, bread, ham, snacks, etc., and there are many styles. This is worthy of being a brand under Jinjiang, bringing you the fun of French romance and fashion.

As a multi-generational family traveling with seniors and children, we chose the Sheraton Fengxian Baohua, hoping for a comfortable holiday. The hotel's hardware truly stood out – the spacious and grand public areas, generous room layouts, and excellent location (adjacent to Qingxi Ancient Town and Shanghai Fish) all laid a solid foundation for our trip. However, the 'soft services' during this stay were a major disappointment, starting strong but quickly deteriorating. The management shortcomings exposed during the peak holiday season were particularly regrettable. **I. Positive Highlights: Robust Hardware, Heartfelt Frontline Service** 1. **Excellent Hardware Facilities:** The hotel's overall decor is modern and elegant. The high-ceiling lobby design feels open and bright, guest rooms are spacious with good soundproofing, and the mattresses offer medium firmness, making them suitable for elderly guests. Its prime location is a significant advantage, with Qingxi Ancient Town within walking distance and attractions like Shanghai Fish and Fengxian Museum all within a 15-minute drive. 2. **Heartwarming Support from Frontline Staff:** Despite frequent issues at the management level, our housekeeper, Auntie Duan Xiubi, was an absolute lifesaver. When we faced the predicament of no spare duvets (the front desk claimed, ”all spare bedding was used up”), she proactively intervened. She not only quickly found pillows and personally put on clean duvet covers but also thoughtfully told us, ”It's busy during the holidays, no need to rush, make sure you get some rest first,” and even wished us to ”have fun.” Her enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and sense of responsibility injected warmth into the stark management shortcomings, becoming the sole 'service highlight' of our stay. **II. Negative Experience: Disorganized Management, Slow Service Response** 1. **Chaotic Check-in Process, Excessive Communication Burden:** Our group arrived at 11:30 AM to discuss check-in time, clearly stating that ”the whole family would go out for lunch and return around 1:00 PM to check in.” However, upon our punctual return at 1:00 PM, only one of our three booked rooms was ready. Considering the holiday crowd, we proactively suggested, ”we'll gather in one room to rest first,” but this wait stretched to 2.5 hours. It wasn't until 3:30 PM, after multiple calls, that the remaining room cards were delivered by a robot, with no human providing any updates on the progress. The elderly and children grew tired from waiting in the cramped room, and the lobby sofa area was also full, offering no alternative resting spot. The experience was extremely poor. 2. **Basic Services Missing, Superficial Emergency Handling:** Upon checking in, we found no spare duvets in the room. When we called the front desk, the response was, ”There are too many guests during the May Day holiday, all spare bedding has been used up.” Such a shortage of basic guest supplies indicates a serious miscalculation of holiday occupancy by the hotel. It was only after our persistence that Auntie Duan managed to arrange for a blanket (not standard bedding), while the front desk never proactively followed up or apologized. 3. **Passive Management, Relying on Frontline Staff to ”Firefight”:** From check-in delays to supply shortages, the core problem stemmed from management's disorganized coordination: a lack of oversight on cleaning progress, insufficient guest supply reserves, and no emergency mechanisms in place. When faced with guest requests, the front desk merely robotically repeated ”please wait” and offered no solutions (such as prioritizing access to a lounge area or providing complimentary drinks), creating a stark contrast with the proactive efforts of the frontline staff. **III. Summary and Recommendations** If rated comprehensively as ”5/5 for hardware, 3/5 for service,” the hotel's solid foundation in hardware is certainly commendable. However, the service details proved to be a significant weakness, especially during peak occupancy, where management flaws directly exacerbated guest inconveniences, making it extremely unfriendly for multi-generational families with elderly and children. **Suggested Improvements:** 1. During holidays, optimize cleaning schedules in advance and display real-time room readiness status to minimize guests' unproductive waiting time. 2. Stock sufficient basic guest supplies (e.g., duvets, cribs) to prevent passive situations where supplies run out. 3. Management needs to proactively take responsibility for coordination, rather than leaving frontline staff to ”put out fires” alone. Basic compensation solutions (such as late check-out or dining discounts) could be offered to alleviate guest frustration. Finally, a special thank you to Auntie Duan Xiubi. Her presence made us believe that if the hotel truly prioritizes supporting and training its frontline staff, the service experience would undoubtedly see a qualitative improvement. We hope management will listen to the voices from the ground and not allow heartwarming individual efforts to be undermined by disorganized management. (Note: This experience is based on the May Day holiday in 2025; regular service may vary and is provided for reference.)

An unexpectedly discovered treasure homestay that is especially friendly to people who love trams! Because he has charging stations at home, and more than one, you don’t have to worry about mileage or waiting in line for charging! It takes about an hour to drive from the city and return safely after charging overnight. The boss was very considerate and guided us on nearby sightseeing routes. If you are too lazy to travel far, you can come and take a look at the nearby suburbs! Really good! !

I recommend this hotel in Fengxian. Friends who drive around can experience it. The hotel is designed in an Art Deco Shanghai style, modern and smart👍. The design of the public areas and guest rooms is full of decorative details, and the public areas are equipped with aromatherapy and background sound. The lobby has an open layout, with multiple negotiation areas surrounding the front desk and bar, achieving an interactive mode of modern business travel👍. The guest room combines the elements of neo-Chinese style and Shanghai style of Art Deco, equipped with smart panels and voice control, showing the characteristics of modern simplicity, stability and texture, providing a warm and smart living experience👍 The breakfast buffet is very good! Exceeding the standards of many five-star hotels~The restaurant is very design-oriented👍! Modern, simple and new Chinese design style enhances the style and quality of the space 👍 Refreshing ~ The dishes are rich, the ingredients are fresh, and the coffee is Peet's ~ The hotel also has a gym and laundry room, free parking, and the waiters have good looks and temperament, and the service is enthusiastic.

My friend moved to a new house this year. She took advantage of the May Day holiday to visit her new home. Because it is far from the city, she planned to stay for one night. She chose several hotels and finally booked Kaiyuan because it was opened for a short time and the hotel was newer. We chose a parent-child room and checked in at the hotel at around 2 pm. However, the front desk told us that our room was not cleaned yet. However, when I booked, I chose the early check-in service of Ctrip members, but in fact, there was no way to check in early, and even no way to check in on time. Because we didn’t know when we could check in, and we also made an appointment for KTV in the afternoon, we simply went to sing and eat first, and then checked in at night. We left our luggage at the front desk and registered the license plate number for free parking. There were also a few small problems after checking in at night. First, the room card had poor contact. Not long after the card was inserted to take power, the room would automatically power off, which was quite scary. Second, we were three adults staying in the room, but there were only two large and one small slippers in the room. The front desk could actually tell us in advance, but later after calling the front desk, the slippers and the new room card were delivered by the robot. In addition, the hotel room cannot cast screens with mobile phones, and the iQiyi on the TV is not a large-screen member, so there is no way to watch VIP videos, which is not very convenient. In addition, the hair dryer provided by the hotel cannot be used for a long time at a time. After the three of us girls washed our hair that night, I couldn’t use it immediately after my friend blew it. I thought the hair dryer was broken at the time. After finding the front desk, I found out that there is a so-called overheating protection. Then because wet hair is uncomfortable, I wanted the hotel to take a spare one first. The front desk agreed on the phone at the time, but it was not delivered after waiting for a long time. There was no choice but to wait until the overheating protection ended before using the hair dryer. The hotel’s breakfast is on the second floor. The restaurant is large, there are not many varieties, and there are many guests staying in the hotel, so the dining environment seems not very good. The above are some of the problems this time. I originally wanted to give the hotel three stars. After all, as a four-star hotel that has been opened for a short time, these problems still need to be improved. However, the hotel's own toiletries and conditioner set was very comfortable to use. The shampoo and conditioner were both good. The shower water was large and comfortable. The next day, my friend brought his grandfather to have a buffet breakfast and he needed to pay extra. The front desk did not charge the original price of 58, but gave a preferential price of buy one get one free. Although this amount of money is not much, it left a very good impression on me, so I gave it a five-star rating in the end.

There is also an grandmother's house next to the homestay. I planted a lot of vegetables and peach trees. When the spring flowers bloom, I went to see the peach blossoms. When I left, I bought a lot of Grandma's dishes, all organic dishes. I came back and fried a stew. Sweet and soft. MMantoupaozaixifanliThe hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this
