Location is a big plus here — right next to the convention center, a shopping mall with tons of dining and shopping options, and DiDaDi outdoor theme park is literally just outside the hotel. The kids loved it and kept themselves busy the whole time. Rooms were great and the outdoor bathtub was a nice bonus. We had a minor hiccup with the AC going out overnight, but the manager was super responsive and got us moved to a new room without any hassle since the technician wasn’t around over the weekend. Really appreciated that. Free breakfast and supper are both included, and honestly both were really good — plenty of variety and everything tasted great. Oh, and don’t sleep on the hotel’s rooftop photo shoot. The views up there are stunning and it’s a proper must-do during your stay. All in all, a really enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

Our stay was excellent! The front desk staff, especially Liz, were incredibly welcoming and answered all our questions, including detailed recommendations for nearby restaurants. We would definitely choose to stay here again. The hotel's location is fantastic, with department stores nearby for easy shopping. We had previously stayed one night at another hotel near Cuihu in the old town, but found it inconvenient and uncomfortable. This hotel, on the other hand, has a much wider range of facilities and even offers good nightlife options. By the way, the Ersi noodles at the hotel breakfast were absolutely delicious!

Fantastic! When our car arrived at the entrance, the doorman, Guo Daqian, was incredibly enthusiastic. He helped us with our luggage, assisted with getting a taxi, and reminded us of travel precautions. The front desk staff, Xie Jialan, was warm and thoughtful, providing a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities. The staff in the executive lounge were exceptional! I didn't catch their names, but they were meticulous in welcoming guests and providing service. The housekeeping auntie was very polite and her cleaning was timely and thorough. Our butler, Ms. Bi, provided comprehensive service throughout our stay, always responsive to our requests and demonstrating high professionalism. Hotel facilities and breakfast were first-class.

Facilities: This is an older five-star hotel with retro yet luxurious facilities. Cleanliness: The bedding and bathroom were very clean. Ambiance: The hotel hallways, with their warm lighting and wood-textured walls, along with the plush carpets, made me instinctively quiet my footsteps. The bedding was also very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a peaceful rest. Service: The service was very good and satisfactory.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. I was quite hesitant before choosing it, especially after reading about the negative elevator incident, which made me really worry about safety. So, every time I took the elevator during my stay, I was on edge. The main reason I decided to stay was for the hot springs and swimming pool, as it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently, and I figured we'd just enjoy the hotel. Honestly, I wasn't particularly impressed with the service, and the facilities are quite old, very old. If it weren't for the constant rain and traveling with a child, I probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel. Especially after visiting Fuxian Lake, the comparison really highlighted its shortcomings.

Overall, the hotel was great – a true all-in-one spot for dining, entertainment, and relaxation. It’s perfect for spending a few days unwinding. The facilities like the pool and gym were excellent. Everything you need is right here! Plus, the three meals a day offered by the hotel were quite tasty. On a different note, I needed to arrange dinner for my family and called twice in advance to book a restaurant. The front desk said the F&B department would contact me, but they never did, even after I checked out… a bit frustrating. When I checked in, the front desk told me our standard room was on the first floor. I acknowledged it, and then they repeated it, “first floor, okay?” I didn't quite understand why they emphasized it twice. It wasn’t until I got to the room that I realized the cafe’s outdoor terrace offers a direct view into the room. (The front desk could have just said that directly instead of being so vague; how would I know, being a first-time guest?) Three areas for improvement: 1. The non-slip mat in the shower was very dirty. 2. The coordination among the F&B staff needs to be better. 3. The front desk should be more direct. Repeating that the standard room was on the first floor in such a roundabout way completely confused me as a first-time visitor about what they were trying to convey!

Overall, the room decor was exquisite, befitting an established star-rated hotel. On the day of my stay, the front desk staff presented me with a rose, which was a lovely touch. Most hotel staff greeted guests politely. However, there were several issues that I hope the hotel can address to further improve service quality. 1. **Consumables:** Room amenities were not replenished promptly or were missing entirely, such as bath towels, soap, snacks, and fruit. 2. **Service:** Room cleaning was not timely; one day, it wasn't done even by 4 PM, which was very inconvenient for guests. We had to call the butler service to get someone to clean it. 3. **Hygiene:** During my multi-day stay, the bed linens were not changed for four consecutive days. 4. **Soundproofing:** The sound of showering from the room upstairs at night significantly disturbed my sleep.

It's rare to find a hotel that truly feels like a home away from home, but Bolian Hot Spring Resort certainly does! First, let's talk about the service. We stayed during the off-season, so there weren't many staff around, but you could still feel the warmth and professionalism from everyone, from our butler Dashi to the restaurant, hot springs, and front desk staff. The front desk staff even multi-tasked, making us tea and driving us to our room. Their professional training was evident throughout our stay. Even though the hotel has been open for twenty years, it doesn't feel old or dated at all. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, and the hot springs are fantastic. The courtyard in our room was breathtakingly beautiful. To our pleasant surprise, the restaurant's food was delicious, with excellent Yunnan cuisine. We will definitely be back again. The hotel also provided complimentary executive car airport transfers and vouchers that could be used for dining or spa services at the hotel, which was a very nice touch.

This hotel was the best one during our entire Yunnan trip. The room wasn't huge, but it was very well-designed and matched the price perfectly. One thing that was really important for me as a mom was that there was no carpet in the room. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and responsible; you could tell they operate with high standards. The lifeguard was constantly patrolling around the pool, and the front desk staff were also very attentive. The gym's front desk person was responsible and proactive. After my 8-year-old son went for a swim, he went to the men's changing room by himself to shower. When I went to the front desk to ask, I realized the exit for the men's changing room wasn't in the direction we entered the pool area. I was a bit worried, and a staff member immediately went to find my son for me. When they saw me fumbling to help my son change, they quickly took his swimsuit to spin-dry it and pack it up for us. When we were leaving, the concierge, who was quite far away, actually jogged over to help us with our luggage.

The hotel's location is super convenient, being right in the city center is definitely a plus and makes everything so easy. There are plenty of amenities nearby, and Kunming Old Street is just a short walk away – it's really lively there. Gin at the front desk was incredibly helpful and flexible. I needed to print two pages and was looking for a print shop, but he just printed them for me directly. Highly recommend this place!
