"Close to the Guohua Street business district, the location is super good, the old house is rebuilt, the first floor is a coffee shop, the manager service is super excellent, feel the enthusiasm of the locals in Tainan, take the initiative to help us solve the problem, the homestay is very comfortable, very happy to live in such a quality homestay, I will choose to live here next time I come to Tainan."

"This place is great! There are so many restaurants, snacks, and bars nearby!! This one is quite large, but unfortunately it's too close to the street across the street, so the floor-length curtains can't be opened. Also, Xinmei Street is so narrow 😅😅😅 Whether entering from the beginning or exiting from the end (it's a one-way street, but there are still stupid motorcyclists going the wrong way, and cars parked on the side of the road!!!) it's so nerve-wracking that my boyfriend instantly got mad 😂😂"

"The location of the B&B is very good, it is a quiet hideaway in the busy city. Moreover, the host of the B&B is very considerate and has marked a map of Tainan’s food/specialty places for travelers’ reference. (This will be very practical if you are visiting Tainan for the first time!) The old house is very tidy and provides enough supplies. Our itinerary changed on our last day and we needed more time to store our luggage. The host was also willing to help us.
It should be noted that the bathroom of this room type is outside the room. If you need more independent space, you can consider booking another room type. In addition, the sound insulation of the old house is not very good, so you will hear sounds from outside.

"The location is great, there are many small shops during the week! Parking is available in an underground parking lot nearby, but it is not far away. The room is large and clean. You need to change your indoor shoes downstairs to check in. It is very hygienic and the staff are very friendly."

"The quadruple room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with no disposable toiletries, making it eco-friendly. There was a small balcony with tables and chairs for outdoor relaxation and chatting. The outdoor view was a large lawn, which was very relaxing. There were two surface parking lots directly across from the hotel, one of which was a public metered parking lot, and the other had a daily limit of 120 yuan, which was very cost-effective. The bathroom facilities were spacious, without a high-end bathtub or toilet. The service staff was friendly. The nearby convenience store was a short 400m walk away, so it was recommended to buy what you need before check-in so that you don't have to drive out. The surrounding environment was very quiet at night, which is really suitable for guests who like tranquility."

"The hotel provided early luggage storage service and helped to store things with friends in advance, so that I could get the tickets to watch the game smoothly. It is suggested that customers can be provided with early check-in in the future. Checking in at 4 o'clock is too late, which would make me want to move to Prince Hotel which is closer to National Cheng Kung University!"

"The boss is super nice! ! If you like retro style friends hurry up and stay! Every small detail is also beautiful! From the gate to every corner of the room is also retro style! Love this place very much! Note that there is no elevator, all take the stairs, if you have mobility problems, you should pay attention, downstairs is a bar, you can drink downstairs, but the sound insulation is not very good, if you are easy to wake up friends may not be used to it."

"The room was lovely and clean, with plenty of hot water. I was relieved to see the hair dryer wasn't a Daxin brand. The staff was very friendly. If I had to point out a flaw, it would probably be the lighting. I needed to use the bathroom light to watch TV at night. I also had to open the curtains during the day, which was a bit inconvenient."

GGuest UserHands down my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to Tainan! The overall decor is superb and feels incredibly new and modern. The facilities are very convenient. Breakfast was exceptionally good, offering a wide variety of local specialties. The book selection in the common areas is also very tastefully curated. The laundry facilities are fantastic too! Moreover, the hotel excels at 'localization' – they provide beautifully designed newspaper-style pamphlets introducing Tainan! Next time, I'd love to stay in a room with a record player! 🥹❤️

GGuoxiaomaoerThe room was great, and the staff were incredibly helpful. When we initially encountered a minor issue with our room, they were very accommodating and promptly moved us to a larger one. Later, when we ordered takeout and didn't have chopsticks, they kindly lent us some on multiple occasions. They even provided us with iodine when I injured my foot. Their attentiveness was truly exceptional!

1110138****The hotel is conveniently located near Tainan Railway Station. Just to clarify, this is the conventional (TRA) train station, not the High-Speed Rail (HSR) station. If you arrive by HSR, you can catch a local train from Shalun Station to Tainan Station; trains depart every half hour. Rooms are quite spacious, but the sound insulation isn't great – you can easily hear activity from outside the door. Bottled water isn't provided in the rooms; however, each floor has a water dispenser for guests to use.

From booking to check-in, he provided detailed information about various things, including local food, tourist activities, and transportation instructions, which saved us a lot of time searching. The B&B is located in the city, with convenient transportation, warm and comfortable layout, and quiet in a bustling city. I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserOverall, Lakeshore Hotel Tainan is quite a decent choice. The premises were clean and well-kept, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and both the check-in and check-out processes were very efficient. The room size was adequate, the beds were comfortable, leading to a decent night's sleep, and the cleanliness was satisfactory. While the hotel offers a comprehensive range of facilities, there's room for improvement in their overall maintenance and attention to detail.
Judged purely by ********* standards, it could certainly pass as a four-star hotel. However, compared to high-end hotels in places like Macau, the difference is quite noticeable, especially in the refinement of details and service quality. The breakfast selection was decent but not extensive, though it met basic needs. The overall ambiance of the pool and public areas was pleasant, making it suitable for families and those with children.
All things considered, it was a largely satisfactory stay. If they can improve on the finer details and dining quality in the future, I believe it would be much closer to a five-star standard.

Vvictor zhongThe overall service quality at the hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and polite, proactively reached out to guests, and their responses were always prompt and helpful.
The hotel's surroundings were quiet and elegant. Its prime location meant it wasn't impacted by nearby buildings, and there was ample space for relaxation nearby.
The room facilities were well-maintained, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, the bathtub was a bit old and had some cracks, though it didn't pose any immediate danger.
The bathroom's glass door could benefit from frosted film to make it more visible, reducing the chance of collisions, or to enhance user privacy! Moreover, the privacy curtain was installed outside the bathroom, which was not very convenient to use.
For the extra bed, an open-style screen could be added to provide more personal space and privacy, and minimize direct sightlines with the main bed.
The breakfast quality was very satisfactory, especially the buffet.

JJayrnbThe Room is big, the view is awesome. Super convenient as its connected to departmental store which you can get food, shopping, drinks and everything you need. The hotel’s breakfast was really good, tried the steam bath, sauna and slept really well during the night. Worth it👍

GGabrielle TengThe location is great as it is located to the restaurant and bars cluster. The facilities are clean, well equipped and relatively new. My only issue is with the desk staff, they were not friendly to start with, upon arrival (about 12pm) we were told to just park our luggage at a corner, no tags were assigned, no labelling, nothing. Then told to come back to do check-in at 3pm, they cannot any time earlier than that, so we left and came back at 3pm. At this point it was a female staff with bangs that helped us, I showed her the hotel booking email and she said she wants the Trip.com booking app page, I showed her and she said she wants to see the booking ID. I showed her that too and at this point she said ”read it out to me”. The booking ID was on my phone screen and she didn't even bother to see it, and wants me to READ IT ALOUD TO HER. Maybe she's dyslexic? I don't know. Then I added on one extra day of stay which did not reflect on the paper that she asked me to sign so I pointed that out and she double confirmed that it was printed wrongly. Fast forward a few days, all of our access cards were not able to work for our same rooms that we stayed, I assume it is because she did not grant the correct number of days upon check in, which also resulted in some inconvenience going to and fro the room and counter. And that same staff carried the same attitude when renewing the faulty access cards. Every morning the breakfast service staff was rude as well, like I owed her a million dollars or something, ”you which room? you sit here”. One morning she came to me ”how many people in your room? not 2 person?”, I stayed alone in a 3pax family room with no changes at all. I really dread breakfast everyday. When we checked out there was a new crew of desk staff which was much better in terms of attitude and service, it was the weekend team. I had 2 more weeks of stay in Tainan and I moved to another hotel. Overall I will not stay in this hotel ever again, other than the service, everything is great.

Hotel has given us a free upgrade to a room with balcony and private soaking bath in the room. Appreciated the gesture.
Comfortable stay with a one time access to the spa area. Very interesting spa with a variety of soaking bath of varying temp. Mud mask waa also available. A fun and relaxing experience for the family.
