Starway Hotel (Wutaishan) Reviews

The room is spacious, cosy and clean. Equipped with toiletries and the location is really near to all the scenic spots as well as eateries and supermarket. Staff are nice and friendly. Breakfast has vegetarian options. No escalator but is still fine for us.

I have never given a bad review to a hotel. Starway is not worth the price. First, there were bugs in the room. Second, the room I bought was the closest to the front desk. It was not soundproof. The front desk was always chatting. The guests coming and going were also very loud. I couldn't fall asleep at all. This price is really not worth it. Think about it.

Last year, I booked a Starway Zen Room at Mount Wutai. This year, I booked a twin room at the Starway again. I specifically called to say it wasn't a Zen-style room, but who knew the window would be right above the bed, making it easy to hit my head when opening it inward. After checking in, we had a few minor incidents during our break, but the customer service staff handled them very well. They offered us a 98 yuan upgrade to a family room and helped with our luggage throughout the transfer. The hotel is in a great location. Friendly service and convenient transportation

The room was clean, the service was satisfactory, and the location was excellent as the starting point for the pilgrimage. After breakfast at 7 o'clock in the morning, I set off for Wuye Temple. It was very convenient to take the bus diagonally opposite. I got off in the central area to go to Wuye Temple. After the worship, the front desk took the initiative to bring hot tea. It was really considerate and thoughtful service!

The environment is good, the Zen room is very artistic. Slept very comfortably. The water is a bit cold, so those who like to take a bath with hot water should not do so to avoid catching a cold.
