A huge thank you for a perfect stay! The hotel is amazing super clean, comfortable, and in a great location but what truly makes it special are the two incredible hostesses. They were always smiling, kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. You really feel welcomed and taken care of, like you're at home. My wife and I were extremely impressed with our stay! I travel frequently for work and have stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, yet none of them have left me with such a warm and memorable impression as this seemingly modest hotel. From the very beginning, the genuine hospitality and personal attention to every detail made the experience truly exceptional. The hostess thoughtfully arranges transportation to and from the train station, personally welcomes guests with tea, assists in booking discounted tickets to the historic part of the city (the entrance to which is conveniently located right next to the hotel), and provides helpful recommendations for exploring the area. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a strong sense of aesthetics, looking picturesque from every angle — almost like a scene from a movie. However, what truly makes this place special is the heartfelt care and dedication of the hostess and staff, which you feel from the very first moment of your stay. Breakfast is a traditional Chinese style, prepared with great taste and warmth — I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend visiting Furong and staying at this wonderful hotel — it will surely exceed your expectations. My sincere thanks to the hostess and staff for making such a valuable contribution to our experience in China.

I have stayed at a few hotels in Hunan, most of them were excellent, but this homestay takes the cake. It is easily my favourite hotel of my trip. Everything about this stay was top-notch. We got the option of choosing our rooms (because it was low season) and got a free room upgrade. Breakfast was simple but better than most that I’ve had in other hotels. Location was perfect. It’s only a 1 minute walk away from the tourist centre and the entrance to the town. (Tip: The hotel staff would contact you before your stay and you can get cheaper tickets from them). Service was one of the best I’ve had. We were picked up and dropped off at the railway station. The staff even gifted us their homegrown tea before we left and asked about our stay. I highly recommend visitors to consider staying here. Most of all, the helpful and enthusiastic staff made us feel really comfortable

15/10 stay! The ladies were super sweet and extremely welcoming. From the start, they offered to pick us up from the train station, and booked our tickets for the ancient town with a discount. They even helped carried our bags. The room was perfection, a beautiful terrace, super clean and new. We had a complementary delicious local breakfast, and we drank tea with the ladies and had a lovley chat. We had stayed in many places around China but nothing as good as compared to this. The hospitality and welcomeness was on another level. At the end they arranged a car to take us to the train station and have us a parting gift with their local mountain tea. Its a shame we only stayed for one night, but if we ever come back to China, I would love to stay here again and for more time. Thank you for your kindness 🫶

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this B&B. All of the staff were welcoming and accommodating exceeding our expectations and previous experiences traveling in China. The stay includes one free pick-up from Furongzhen Station. They also offer drop-off for a small fee. The breakfast is traditional and delicious. We had an early morning train and they accompanied us by serving breakfast at 07:30, half an hour before the breakfast is scheduled. The room was clean and great with a good AC system. Be aware you can not flush toilet paper even though this is not stated. Not an issue just something to be aware of. The balcony is lovely and overlooking the ancient town with lights in the evening. The B&B will help you with a travel plan for the ancient town and securing discounted tickets (80 yuan each instead of 108) for the ancient town. The B&B is located exactly at the entrance of the ancient town. All of the staff members will go a long way to secure you an enjoyable stay.

I had a wonderful stay! The guesthouse is incredibly convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the scenic area's ticket entrance. It has an antique charm and a beautiful courtyard. The staff at the front desk, especially a lovely lady, was incredibly warm and made me feel right at home. The thoughtful attention to detail truly touched me. There were complimentary cookies and fruit beautifully arranged on the tea table in the courtyard, available for guests to enjoy freely. I absolutely loved this thoughtful touch! Whenever I returned to the guesthouse after a tiring day exploring the scenic area, there was always someone at the entrance to greet me and warmly ask, 'Are you tired? Would you like a cup of tea before heading to your room?' It truly felt like being welcomed by a familiar relative. I stayed for two consecutive nights, and I'll definitely choose Xuanyuan Guesthouse again on my next trip to Furong Ancient Town. The lady at the front desk even gave me a local souvenir (pictured in image 2) – it was 'mei tea,' a local specialty. I was deeply touched by this kind gesture once again. Regrettably, I forgot to take photos of the guesthouse itself, so I've uploaded a few pictures of the scenic area instead.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and genuine hospitality made us feel at home right away. Very unique B&B with lots of character. Located next to entrance of Furong old town. Room is comfortable but no space for luggage. Balcony is great for relaxing. Owners are very friendly. We had a great time chatting with her over tea. Delicious simple Chinese breakfast.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I had an uncomfortable experience with my taxi driver, and they handled it with incredible kindness, calmness, and positivity, even offering me tea to help me feel at ease. Their hospitality was truly exceptional—something I haven’t experienced at a hotel in a very long time. The property itself is beautiful—immaculately clean, with lovely décor, a stunning bedroom, a spectacular view, and a bed that was unbelievably comfortable. Every detail made my stay feel special and relaxing. I wish the staff all the best and sincerely hope I have the opportunity to return to China just to stay here again. Perfect little homestay. Literally across the road from the entrance and exit of the main scenic area. The rooms are clean and pretty. Theres a beautiful courtyard where they served breakfast and coffee. The hosts are exceptional. We appreciated them taking the time to introduce us to Furong and plan our evening over a pot of local tea when we arrived. They obviously put a lot of love and pride in this homestay and it was lovely to stay here.

This place is amazing me and my partner stayed there for 2 nights and honestly wish we had more time there it was really nice rooms super clean in a peaceful and perfect location we stayed as guests but we was treated as family the people was really nice we had meny tea with them and good conversations through translater and they are really kind,couldn't ask for more . We will miss our hosts. And we are looking forward to coming back We travel a lot and we would highly recommend this place is not to be missed

We stayed in this wonderful establishment for one night. It is located just outside the entrance to the old town, but the view is still exceptional, especially in the evening when the city lights up. The room was very nice, clean, spacious and with all the necessary amenities. The balcony a real pampering. The whole hotel is beautiful: the typical architecture of the place and the terrace where we had breakfast surrounded by flowers, plants and lanterns make for a truly atmospheric experience. The breakfast was delicious. The real beauty, however, lies in the owners: wonderful people who gave us a warm welcome from the very first moment. In the evening and the following morning, we were able to share time together, chatting and drinking excellent tea typical of this area. Finally, they also gave us a wonderful gift, which we will treasure. It was an invaluable stay, I invite everyone to stay at this hotel.
