A Park that Overlooks Forbidden City!🇨🇳
#timetotravel
After we finished roaming around the Forbidden City, we kind of just followed the crowed that was heading to somewhere and they lead us to Jingshan Park. At first we thought it was just a common Chinese park to chillax but.. nope, you can actually climb up to the pavillion that offers you the view of the Forbidden City from above. That was quite a surprise to us which we really enjoyed. We also took the chance to take some photos in a Chinese tradition clothes with extra cost. We came here a few years back, before the pandemic so I am not sure of the entrance fee. Just double check on their website. I think you need a reservation now. When we were there we just bought tickets on the spot. Have a great visit ! #tripblazers #mytripvlog #chinatravel #park
JINGSHAN PARK in the center of BEIJING
Getting There - I took Metro Line 7 from DaJiaoTing Station to CiQuKou where I changed to Line 5 and got off at DongSi Station. From there I too bus number 128 to ShengWuMen and walked to the ticket station at the South Gate of JingShan Park.
Attractions - So many beautiful places to take pictures inside the park, but the highlight is getting to the top and seeing The Forbidden City in its full glory. The day I went was quite cloudy.

Check out this Beijing classic 👌
Take in the views over the Forbidden City across the street at Jingshan park. It's cheap entry with a short walk to the top. Take your time on the way up the hill, it's pretty picturesque with views of the whole city.
It gets super crowded so it may take a while before you manage to work your way to the front of the crowd to catch the view. Once at the front take whatever pictures you want before you leave, it'll be hard to get back in again 🙏

Jingshan Park in Bloom
Nestled away behind the Forbidden City/Beijing Palace is a beautiful park.
We visited in April 2019 which was right in the middle of Spring so all the flowers were in bloom. There were some beautiful displays all perfectly cultivated a styled it was a joy to wander around. Although we passed a lot of people the park never felt crowded. It is also a fantastic spot to gaze down in to the Forbidden City if you don't want to brave the crazy crowds. The view from the Wanchun Pavilion is wonderful. It was only mildly smogy on the day we visited so it felt like we could see for miles and mile in every direction.
There are plenty of panic areas in the park, but we picked up snacks from the little kiosk at the entry gate and munched as we walked around. Trying to stave off the jetlag. We did stop for tea and biscuits at a beautiful little teahouse somewhere near the west gate. It was so peaceful sitting in the courtyard watching people pass by and the tea was delicious.
On our way out we got caught up amongst some flat twirlers. All the children were joining in so being young at heart we decided to give it a go as well. Lets just say my coordination must have still been wandering around the park because i ended up wrapped in the flag more than twirling it. But it made people laugh so not at all a bad thing.
This was a perfect first day on our China visit.

Jingshan Park, Beijing
We hit this one at the end of a long day, got one of those candy strawberry treats that I can’t spell to keep going! My friend who took me was so excited, said it’s his favourite view in the city and I see why! Truly amazing, especially seeing one side, a much older side, of the city and then the newer side in the same place. There was a rather large crowd but with everything if you wait a second most people will move shortly, unfortunately some people had set up tripods and weren’t planning on moving anytime soon so you just have to work around them. If you get there a bit before sunset you should walk around the park a bit it’s a beautiful park especially with golden hour.
❄️ A snowy day at the Forbidden City ❄️
As soon as it snows in Beijing, you should wrap yourself in your warmest coat and head to Jingshan Park to see the historic Forbidden City (故宫) covered in snow.
Situated directly north of the Forbidden City, Jingshan park is the only hill in Beijing (it was man made with the soil that was excavated when creating the moat around the Forbidden City). It is the best place to oversee the old imperial city.
Be careful when climbing the many stairs to the pagoda on top of the hill as not only are they icy, they may be crowded. Be prepared to use your elbows to get an advantageous viewpoint to take your photo of the snowy buildings (totally worth it). You may even be lucky enough to have clear blue skies and a view all the way to the surrounding mountains.
Afterwards, take the time to walk around the moat of the Forbidden city as the frozen water and snowy snowscape provide beautiful photo opportunities.
Jing Shan Park, and central hill of Jing Shan Park, Beijing, the bright Capital of The People's Republic of China.
The climbing will take no more than ten or fifteen minutes but it will be full of impressions. On the way to the central pavilion at the top of hill where emperor would like to have rest watching his own land there are small pavilions from the both sides of the both paths. Yes there are two paths going to the top from two opposite sides. Green treas and evergreen pines are accompanying visitors all the time. That was the nice walk in the nice weather.

The Green Path of Jing Shan Park. Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China. Jing Shan Park is occupying very little space on the map of Beijing, almost a dot in this mega size city but it is magically attractive! The gree npath is a route for walking in Jing Shan Park around the hill with observation deck. The tall and old trees stand Luke's soldiers along the road, probably, in ancient time their function was not only beautify landscape and clean air, but also give the feeling of protection to the restless emperor, it is really looks like a soldiers standing without any move and providing the corridor for passing through.
The air is clean, it smells pines, this intangible fragrancy, perfect air for lungs.

This time our destination is Beijing, the capital of The People's Republic of China, the autonomous city, the heart of Chinese culture. We are in Jing Shan Park which is also known as emperor summer residence. This park and visitors area could be subdivided into several parts. One of them is a gallery with exposition of ancient Chinese painting. Now we are in this gallery where the paintings of several dynasties are presented to be studied, including Qing dynasty.

景山公园 or Jing Shan Park ,aka Emperor summer residence. Beijing. And it is located straight in front of Forbidden City gates, just need to across the road and you are in this beautiful park. Jing Shan Park or Jing Mountain Park is especially charming during the summer. The visit will require about two hours to walk slowly around and to climb the hill. At the top is located the observation pavilion giving magnificent view on the surroundings. Definitely should be visited.

Beijing during the National Day | On the occasion of the birth of the motherland, the Jingshan Park and Beihai Park were punched, and the red flags were everywhere, and the flowers were full of festive colors. If you don't go to the scenic spot in Beijing, you can see different scenery in the process of walking the streets. Many people think that the pace of life in Beijing is too fast, and it is only in the hutong that they can feel a little comfort. The dream of being a traveler is to travel around the world, but the world is big, but there is only one in China! I love my motherland, bless my motherland, happy birthday!
Perfect Spot for Enjoying Spring
Here is one of my favorite places to witness the beauty of #springblossom in Beijing. The name is Jingshan Park. I like how they arrange the type flowers in every corners. Looks neat and beautiful. Moreover, if you come here for watching the sun sets, the view will be perfect!
How to get here:
I started my trip by taking subway and stopped at Qianmen station. Then I got on the bus number 5 from nearby bus stop to Jingshan Park West Gate.
It's not that Luoyang is unaffordable, but the peonies at Jingshan offer better value for money
"Only the peony is the true national beauty, when it blooms, the capital is moved." You don't have to leave Beijing to see the peonies in full bloom, as the Peony Festival at Jingshan Park has begun❗️
💐The peony is known as the 'king of flowers,' and those in Jingshan Park are on par with those in the Forbidden City. Jingshan has a long history of cultivating peonies, dating back to the Tai Ning Palace of the Jin Dynasty. The Forbidden City has collected many rare peony varieties, with 569 types, over 20,000 plants, nine color series, and ten flower shapes, making it the most comprehensive and largest planting area in Beijing. It's well worth a visit❗️❗️
🎈The very popular 'wallet peony' is quite small, hidden in the peony field under the shade of trees to the left of the Guande Hall, and requires careful attention to discover.
Jingshan Park's Peony Festival is super suitable for wearing ancient costumes, and the national beauty is unmatched😎😎 Hurry up, babies!
🚶Recommended itinerary: Commando version (one-day trip): Visit the Forbidden City in the morning➕Boating in Beihai Park in the afternoon➕Climb Jingshan in the evening to overlook the panoramic view of the Forbidden City, and if the weather is good, you can catch the sunset.
Buddhist version: Take a taxi directly to the vicinity of Jingshan, and after enjoying the peonies, it's very convenient to call a car from the east gate of Jingshan Park.
🚶Recommended route: Enter from the south gate (where the cultural and creative peony snow ice cream is sold)➡️To the east gate (peony variety garden and market cultural and creative stalls)➡️Guande Hall ancient architectural area➡️Walk the main road to the west gate exit (peony milk tea shop is at the west gate) The main flower fields are right beside this route, no need to remember various place names to avoid getting dizzy.
💥If it's a holiday, it's recommended to arrive before 8 am to avoid tour groups, etc.; or after 4 pm, when there are relatively fewer people. The sunset glow is also nice, but there will be many people on top of Jingshan watching the sunset. The lights at night are also very beautiful.
🎫Ticket: During the Peony Festival 10💰, after the festival, it returns to 2💰, and people over 60 years old are free. Tickets can be purchased on-site, and the park's annual pass is valid.
🚗Transportation: 🚄Take subway line 8 to China Art Museum Station, exit A
🚌For the east gate, take bus routes 111, 124 (trolleybus), 58; for the south gate, take bus routes 101, 103, 109, 124 (trolleybus), 68, 58, special routes 1 and 2 (tourist lines); for the west gate, take bus routes 5, 58

We really enjoyed the moment of this year's spring since there are many flowers blooming around. It's my first time too seeing Mudanhua (Peony) in various color in a park called Jingshan Park! It's actually beautiful and has bigger size than I imagined. You must see them in person when you're in Beijing ✨

Breath-taking View of Jingshan Park
Visited many parks in Beijing before for enjoying #springblossom, but I can say that this park has impressed me a lot! It has flowers with various colors. Many people came here with their family and friends for witnessing the spring.
Tips for visiting Jingshan Park;
Although the public transportation (such as bus or subway) will lead you to enter/exit from the West or East Gate, I recommend you to stroll around the South Gate too! It has the most beautiful display and you'll find more kinds of flower.
The Colorful Jingshan Park
One of the most colorful park in Beijing to enjoy the #springblossom, Jingshan Park. Located in Xicheng district of Beijing. You can witness the beauty of spring here, as well as Forbidden City from above. If you come around 5 PM, you can also enjoy the pretty sunset from the hill area.
The best way to reach this park is with Beijing city bus number 5 (stop at West gate) and 111 (stop at East gate).

Beijing, Beijing, the pride deep in the bones of the Chinese people
Beijing, I've been here more than once, but each time there's a different feeling. 😆😆😆
🌟 Highlights:
Visiting Jingshan Park, I avoided the crowded hotspots. Yet, the scenery here has its own unique charm. Built along the central axis of Beijing from north to south, you can climb high and look far, with the Palace Museum right before your eyes. 😍😍😍
👍 Most recommended:
Make sure to check out the distinctive central axis that runs from north to south. The Chinese concept of symmetrical architecture was born from this.

Overlooking the scenery of the Forbidden City from Jingshan Park
Jingshan Park is located on Jingshan Front Street in Xicheng District, Beijing, situated on the central axis of the Ming and Qing dynasties' Beijing city, west to Beihai, and south across the street from the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City, it was the imperial garden during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The central Jingshan in the park is a man-made hill, which was once the highest point of the city.
Jingshan Park was established in 1928, covering a total area of 23 hectares. The park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, featuring sights such as the Qiwang Tower, Wufang Pavilion, Shouhuang Hall, Yongsi Hall, and the Peony Garden. In the eighth year of Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1651), Wansui Mountain was renamed Jingshan. During the Qianlong period, the Qiwang Tower was built in front of the mountain, and the Wufang Buddha Pavilion was constructed on the mountain according to the terrain. The Wanchun Pavilion was built in the center, with the Guanmiao Pavilion and Zhoushang Pavilion built on the east side, and the Jifang Pavilion and Fulan Pavilion on the west side. The Shouhuang Hall complex was rebuilt at the back of the mountain. There was also the Chongzhen Emperor's hanging site on the east slope of Jingshan, where a dismounting stele was erected. During the Qianlong period, the architecture of Jingshan reached its most glorious and prosperous stage. Since the Jingshan garden was designated as an important part of the imperial palace from the Yuan Dynasty, all buildings were constructed according to the imperial palace's regulations, with high status, unique forms, and well-preserved original appearance, which is very rare.
Jingshan Park is a must-visit for the perfect timing as mentioned
Jingshan Park is a must-visit for the perfect timing as mentioned.
Because when you take a panoramic photo of the Forbidden City from Jingshan, you are facing directly south, so if you take the photo when the sun is too strong, it will be completely backlit and appear all dark.
For instance, these days, you must go around 4:30 pm, when the golden light is splendid beauty not to be missed
