GGayleCodyI wish I could say our last 24 hours here have been great, but I can’t. On Wednesday when we needed to extend our stay someone from the front desk, put a reservation in for us, called us back and told me that the reservation was completely taken care of and not to worry. My keys were waiting for me at the front desk when I got back from working that night very late probably after midnight we already had the keys. I went to the room and went to sleep when I went to work the next morning and later in the day I received a phone call from Leighton, giving me a very difficult time about extending my reservation for the next night telling me that the previous night had not been paid for and it was $141. When I tried to tell him what I had already been told there was no listening to what I had to say and what I had already been told. He told me that I had to come to the front desk immediately and pay for the previous night as well as pay for that night. I was already working close to an hour away and told him that that was impossible. I told him that I would go online and make the reservation for that night, but I could not deal with anything with the previous night until I returned. He told me that I had until 8 o’clock otherwise he was canceling that night’s reservation. He was beating me repeatedly. He did not want to listen to what I had to say. He was so awful to deal with. I could go on and on. When I returned, it took me until past 1 o’clock in the morning to get the entire issue straightened out because I had not been told that whoever made Wednesday night‘s reservation had also booked one for Thursday night as well and they expected me to pay for two nights totaling well over $200. I certainly was not going to pay for a second night, knowing that I had already previously booked a reservation online, of course at that hour, Leighton was nowhere to be found, and certainly he was not answering his phone or his text messages. They were threatening to cancel my reservation, leaving myself. My two children stranded for the night, They were changing shifts to any people had things to say there was too many people involved. I was getting too many and too much different information. This was just way too much for me to handle. I was told that I needed to pay one price somebody else that I needed to pay a different price I was told I needed to pay something else. It was just way too much and too many people were involved. Finally at 1 o’clock in the morning, I paid the $92 I was able to check into my room and go to sleep. The next day, I was then told that I was not able to make a reservation to extend my stay further and I’m only allowed to make reservations for one week at a time. Nowhere have I been told that I have to make reservations one week in advance for seven days at a time I have stayed at Marriott residence Inn before and never have I had to make reservations for seven days at a time, but I was told the manager can put that rule. into effect. what happens if I only want to stay here for five more days? Do I still have to pay for seven? I don’t know, regardless we had a broken dishwasher in our room and they thought it would just be easier instead of repairing the dishwasher to make us change rooms and move us from one end of the hotel all the way down to the other

GGuest UserHotel was very nice and the room felt like home. I didn’t like that it didn’t tell me if the room had a shower or tub even after putting the child’s age. That’s a little frustrating because it’s kind of hard to wash a 3year old up in a shower. My room was non-smoking but the room smelled like old smoke so I cleaned very good to get that smell out which wasn’t too bad at all. The staff who worked the night shift I have a few problems with. I don’t think she may be mean or a mean person but she’s definitely not a peoples person. Her attitude was very rude dry and cut-off. When asking her anything she made us feel like we were annoying her and she lied to our face about the room she put us in. She tried to say the room says shower only but couldn’t provide where it say that because it said or tub and I know when you arrive for check-in they will give you a room that’s available according to your reservation. There was no option for me to request or make sure a tub was in the room. She did pick up on us taking her interaction with us as rude and tried to make it somewhat better. She doesn’t smile and have a look on her that says I don’t want to be here or deal with this. I didn’t like that the description doesn’t match a lot of the things at this location and probably wouldn’t have booked here had I know they didn’t have no kid activities besides basketball and miniature golf. I love that it’s next to a lot of shopping stores and din-in and out restaurants that are walking distance. I just advice you to either contact the hotel or whoever you are booking certain details because this happened twice picking a room that’s available according can be giving with either one regardless of the child age.

BbobodogThe location is about two blocks from the city center, which is quite convenient, but there are limited dining options nearby; you have to go to the city center for more choices. The room is very spacious and well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, washing machine, and dryer, making it suitable for long stays or self-catering. The public facilities are on the top floor and, though I didn't need to use them much, they seemed complete and clean. The room decor is simple with a bit of an industrial style, primarily featuring concrete and white walls, emphasizing simplicity and convenience. Overall, everything was pretty good, but one major point was that the room wasn't cleaned at all during my 5-day stay. The hotel should provide some guidance upon check-in or in the room regarding cleaning services and trash disposal instructions, either for guests to handle themselves or for paid services. When I asked the front desk for cleaning, I was told they usually clean only once every three days, but in reality, it wasn't cleaned once during my entire 5-day stay. The accumulating trash, in particular, was a problem as I didn't know how to dispose of it. This was a bit of a letdown compared to my usual business hotel stays. If guests are expected to clean up their own trash, clear instructions are definitely needed to avoid confusion and the feeling of a lack of service.

GGuest UserFor us the location was great! The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Service, for the most part, was very good, with the only exception being the gentleman who manned the front desk on arrival. Not friendly at all. It felt like we were an interruption. Breakfast was your standard fair. Scrambled, powdered eggs and sausage or bacon, and make your own waffles. Coffee, juice choices, bagels, and packaged sweets. It was good and it does make for a fast and convenient meal. The WIFI on our floor was horrible! In this day in age, this is unacceptable! I ended up using the computer by the breakfast area to set up our outgoing flight! The building is becoming dated but, there was construction going on so perhaps they are updating. The bathroom did not have a fan or any towel racks. Unfortunately, it appears that people have been using the shower curtain rod as it is tilted downward and you really need to make adjustments to avoid a wet floor. There are no handles for the physically impaired. Getting in and out of this slippery bathtub is difficult. Our toilet tank had a leak and frequently had to reload water. Finally, the HVAV is good and it is also loud. But if you have traveled a lot, this is fairly common. An extra note. We decided that we really didn't need a rental and would use Lyft/Uber. It worked well but there is rarely a car nearby. We made sure we allowed time to get picked. Because of its location and that it was typical of a hotel of this ranking, I would stay there again.

Amazing
GGuest UserI recently stayed at the Nittany Lion Inn for 4 nights and 5 days, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. The rooms were great — clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The hallways were absolutely amazing, lined with bookcases and cozy seating areas, all surrounded by fascinating history that truly made the Inn feel special and unique. The mocktails at Triplets were delicious, and the coffee at the café was just as impressive — such a treat during our stay. We were in town because my daughter danced at THON, so we were coming and going at all hours. It was incredibly comforting to be somewhere that felt so safe, welcoming, and conveniently close to everything we needed. Every single staff member was absolutely incredible. I never once arrived or left without someone opening a door for me — that level of attentiveness and hospitality does not go unnoticed. Everyone was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. I do need to especially mention Claire. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, she made our stay so comforting. When my flight was canceled, Claire went above and beyond to ensure my son and I were taken care of. She helped us navigate our travel changes and made a stressful situation so much easier. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out. Thank you for making what was already a meaningful trip even more memorable. We will absolutely be back!

GGuest UserWe were pleasantly surprised by the size of our king room suite. The full sized refrigerator was a huge plus. It did need some attention given to the carpet in the living room area as there are (what looked like) tomato sauce stains and a juice stain. It also needed vacuumed better. The mattress was softer than we are normally used to, but wasn't bad. I think it's the first hotel room I've ever walked into and the a/c was actually on and the room was nice and cool. The breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast, w/o orange juice. Nothing special. My husband said ”they use real eggs and not carton or powdered.” Being a holiday weekend, they were having trouble keeping up with the supply/demand for breakfast. It is noisy at night until about midnight with cars and motorcycles flying up/down the street. Music across the street is also pretty loud. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff. Matt was extremely nice when we checked in, and he also came up to the room because we couldn't figure out the bedroom TV. It's only about a 3-4 minute drive to Presque Isle State Park. All in all I would consider staying here again.

PPaweł ZielaznyGreat location, right by the river and also in the old town. Everything is within walking distance. The room was decent. Beautiful view of the bridge from the window. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Philadelphia again. They also accommodated my request when booking, which was a plus.
