Paper arrival cards, the standalone e-CD (Electronic Customs Declaration), and SATUSEHAT health declarations have all been combined into one unified All Indonesia digital arrival card. This is now mandatory for arrivals at Jakarta (CGK), Bali (DPS), and Surabaya (SUB) airports, as well as Batam seaports.
The traditional e-CD is still required for all other Indonesian entry points until the All Indonesia system is fully rolled out nationwide. Both platforms are free, official, and completely digital—so you can say goodbye to paper forms!

The Indonesia Arrival Card is your mandatory digital entry form for all international travelers, brought to you by Indonesia’s immigration and customs authorities. Submitting either one will generate a unique QR code, which is the only document you'll need for immigration and customs clearance. Just a heads-up: this isn't a visa, so if your nationality requires one, you'll still need to have a valid visa, VOA, or e-VOA ready to go!
Do I Need an Indonesia Arrival Card? Who’s Exempt?

Make sure you have your full legal name, passport number, nationality, flight or vessel number, arrival date and time, the full address where you’ll be staying in Indonesia (including the hotel name, street, and city), and the total number of checked bags. If you’re traveling as a group, you can easily add details for family or companions (up to 10 people) in the same submission. Just be sure to double-check everything for typos—incorrect information can cause your QR code to be invalidated!
- Fill out your customs and health declaration forms
Answer your customs questions: Let us know if you’re carrying any dutiable or prohibited items (like alcohol, tobacco, electronics, or cash exceeding IDR 100 million). For the health declaration, simply share your current health status. Please select “Yes” or “No” for every question—we need clear answers to keep things moving smoothly!
- Review and submit the form
Take a moment to look over your entire form to make sure all your personal, travel, and declaration details are spot on. Once you're confident everything is correct, go ahead and click Submit—just keep in mind that you won't be able to make any changes after that, so double-check before you finalize! - Get and save your unique QR code
Your declaration QR code will pop up on the screen in an instant, and we'll also email a copy to your registered address (if you provided one). Be sure to screenshot that QR code, download the PDF, or print a physical copy—it's a great idea to save it in at least two places (like your phone's photo album or the cloud) just to be safe. You'll need this handy code for both immigration and customs, so keep it close!

Please fill in all required details exactly as they appear on your passport or travel documents:
Make sure you have your full name (exactly as it appears in your passport), passport number, nationality, flight or vessel details, arrival date, the address where you’ll be staying in Indonesia (whether it’s a hotel or residence), and the total number of bags you’re bringing. If you’re traveling as a group, you can easily add family members to the same form. Just be sure to double-check everything before you submit to avoid any hiccups with customs!
- Complete your item declaration details
You’ll be asked to confirm whether you’re bringing any dutiable or prohibited items into Indonesia—think tobacco, alcohol, high-value goods, or large amounts of cash. Simply select "Yes" if you’re carrying any of these, or "No" if you have nothing to declare. Just remember to answer honestly to stay in line with Indonesian customs regulations! - Review and submit the form

- Get and save your QR code
A unique QR code will be generated immediately after successful submission. Screenshot the QR code directly or download the PDF version to your phone/device. You must present this QR code to Indonesian customs officers upon arrival – a printed copy is recommended as a backup for low-battery or Internet issues.

The hotel is located within a large complex. There are many restaurants just a street away, and it's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the Collection mall, or you can use the scheduled shuttle service. The hotel isn't directly on the beach, but they offer regular shuttle rides to and from the seaside. Most of the hotel staff are very friendly, with the exception of a few at the beach. Every time I tried to buy a coconut at the beach, the staff would say they were sold out. And when I tried to order other drinks, they seemed quite annoyed. The room itself was spacious and very clean. They provide four complimentary bottles of water daily, and you can request four more. Any additional bottles after that come with a charge. * **Location:** The hotel is in the heart of Kuta Beach. Step out, and you're right on the beach, surrounded by dining, shopping, and markets. Very convenient.

* **Dining:** The food overall was good, and breakfast offered a good variety. However, I have to complain that there was only Western and Indian food, absolutely no Chinese options. We tried a buffet and an Italian restaurant for dinner at the hotel's three restaurants. The prices were reasonable, and the food was decent.
* **Facilities:** The swimming and water play facilities are absolutely top-notch. There are three large water play areas, easily enough to keep kids entertained for two days. Facilities: There are many swimming pools with clean water. There's also a beach pool, a favorite for kids, and a small private beach – not ideal for swimming, but perfect for a quick dip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bali Tropical Resort & Spa — excellent value for money. The property is a bit older (you can tell it was built years ago), but it has been well maintained and partially renovated, so everything still feels in good condition and comfortable.
Location is a big highlight: the hotel has direct beach access and it truly feels like the beach is part of the resort. The pool is large and has a swim-up/integrated bar, which is a great touch. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing — perfect for resting.
What we loved most is how authentically Balinese it feels: beautiful décor, carved doors, wood furniture, and even two small temples inside the hotel, which adds a special cultural vibe. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay.
We also tried the spa, and we highly recommend it. You can find cheaper options outside, but the convenience and comfort of having it inside the hotel is worth it, and the prices are still reasonable. We ate at the hotel’s three restaurants and generally enjoyed the food.
Small note: breakfast was okay but not as impressive as the rest of the experience—some items felt a bit basic.

We made a last-minute decision to visit during the summer holidays and chose this hotel because of its proximity to the beach. I was prepared for an older hotel in an older area, and that's exactly what it was; there were quite a few middle-aged and elderly guests. However, the hotel's pool and garden views were quite nice, and the rooms had been renovated. The showerhead wasn't discolored, and the water quality was fine. Breakfast was acceptable, I'd give it an 80%. Besides the locally grown papaya, nothing else really stood out. We received drink vouchers for the restaurant bar, which was a pleasant place to relax. Bicycles were available for rent, and cycling along the beach was very enjoyable. There's a good restaurant by the hotel beach, with a 4.9-star rating on Google Maps. We ordered three set meals for over RMB 600 (including a significant service charge).
However, there were some downsides:
1. The hairdryer was broken. I specifically went to the front desk to ask for a replacement, but nothing was done. Luckily, it was summer.
2. Service discrimination favoring Caucasians. When queuing for eggs🍳, a Caucasian lady behind me asked for soft-boiled eggs. The chef, with an ingratiating smile, went out of his way to cater to her request, spending considerable time and completely ignoring my🍳, which was ahead of hers. Only after he finished serving the Caucasian lady with a bow did he turn to my eggs, which were already overcooked. He just made an awkward sound and offered no apology.
3. For an Indonesian hotel costing over RMB 1000 a night, I discovered upon leaving that there were green crayon marks on the quilt (near the foot end) (see picture). Are they so stingy with linen that they won't discard it?FromCAD 95

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely service-minded. They were also happy to recommend places and things to do around the area, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. During the daytime, there was some burning happening around the nearby rice field, and the smell came directly into our room. It became uncomfortable enough that we had to leave the hotel for a few hours and only came back in the evening.
The biggest problem, however, was the air conditioning. In the middle of the night, the room became extremely cold even though we had not intended to make it that cold. We were surprised to find the air conditioner running at 17°C with the fan at maximum speed. We had to wake up several times to adjust the temperature, and because of this we could not sleep properly until early morning.
The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Once our phones connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, the internet was practically unusable, so we eventually had to disconnect and use our own roaming mobile data instead.
Overall, the staff and service were good, but the air conditioning and internet problems seriously affected the comfort of our stay. If these two issues were fixed, the experience would be much better.FromCAD 28

This beautiful hotel has a vantage point of the entire Uluwatu region as far as seeing the aircraft landing into the airport. Everything is spectacular, especially the upper and lower infinity pools. Breakfast is bountiful. The best thing is you get free shuttle and access to the RoosterFish Beach club, which is great if you want a change of scenery at Pandawa beach. A lot of guests stay here because of this perk. Top notch service as everyone greets you with a smile. Been here for 3 nights for our honeymoon. the staffs were incredibly nice. we are Bali people but we did not get or feel any discrimination at all, they treat us the same as foreigners. they have natural hot spring water pool, it was hot honestly, so we did not go very often. but they have ocean view pool and garden view pool which much cooler. The sunset was absolutely stunning! I spent nearly two hours mesmerized by it at the private beach's sunset bar. The live music was so relaxing, making it the perfect spot to simply unwind and indulge in the luxury of doing nothing. The staff were all incredibly kind and friendly. They offered a complimentary shuttle service, taking me wherever I wanted to go and picking me up afterwards. As a solo traveler, I was initially a bit apprehensive since I didn't encounter any other Japanese guests. However, when the popular local warung (eatery) I wanted to visit was closed, they kindly took me back the next day. Also, when the hotel spa was fully booked and I mentioned wanting to try a local spa, they drove me there with the shuttle and even offered to take me to another place if it was also full. The breakfast area was lovely; I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the second floor early in the morning. Even the staff at the local beachside eateries were friendly, making it a very comfortable place to be. I can't understand why this hotel isn't rated 10! The view was fantastic, and the hotel is spacious with a great design; you can see wooden reliefs everywhere. Our room was on the second floor and offered a beautiful view from the balcony. The hotel itself isn't very large, but it's incredibly charming and well-maintained. The breakfast was also delicious; they have an à la carte menu with smaller portions, so you can try a variety of dishes. Superb stay at the far end of Jalan Bisma in Ubud. The Kaamala resort and spa offered us exceptional service from the friendly, polite and welcoming staff. On site spa - which we liked.
Our room was amazing, we had our own pool, separate Al fresco lounge area with a hammock, table and chairs and two loungers.
The bedroom area was spacious and very comfortable.
Toiletries, tea/coffee and bottled water provided.
We had daily breakfast in Habitat restaurant and every day the food was delicious and plentiful. Choices were from a menu which was welcomed opposed to the buffet at other hotels. Food presentation was outstanding, service too.
There are 3 restaurants to choose from for dinner, 1 for lunch. However there are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars in the vicinity to explore.

The location is excellent! All the famous restaurants and cafes in Seminyak are within walking distance. A taxi from the airport to the hotel takes about 30 minutes, and there's a convenience store right across the street.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and it's quite substantial, though the 10 AM cut-off feels a bit early.
All the staff were incredibly polite and welcoming.

The hotel is great; they offer in-room massage and spa services for 150k for an hour. The room is spacious and comfortable, but the window faces another room. Shopping is close to Bali Agung, but the best and cheapest place is Krisna, where you can shop 24 hours a day, so there's plenty of time to explore late into the night before shopping. Icon Bali Mall is great because it's near Sanur beach. The avocado coconut drink was exceptionally good; we looked for it every day, averaging 20-30k. Eating at the most VIP and delicious restaurants for 5 people ranged from 300k-500k; the food was truly heavenly, cheap, and delicious, even in the mall. Street food is even cheaper, but we were afraid of getting diarrhea as it might not suit our stomachs. Finally, outside the airport, the Ole Banana cake was soft and delicious, so we bought extra for souvenirs. The milk pie and disco peanuts, tea, and coffee at Krisna were cheap and tasty.FromCAD 29

The location is quite strategic; it's a 5 minute walk to the beach and it's also far enough from the stretch of BBQ restaurants along the beach line, so the smokes won't reach you. (You might still smell them).

I finally got to stay at the Kempinski, which I'd been looking forward to! It's an absolutely wonderful hotel, from the magnificent lobby to the spectacular view of the Indian Ocean from the lobby. There was one time after check-in when the elevator stopped on the way to our room, but it was promptly reported to a supervisor and maintenance was performed, which put us at ease. We also received apologies via WhatsApp and at check-out, leaving us with the impression that this is a very trustworthy hotel. Besides the excellent facilities like the restaurants and room cleanliness, the staff's hospitality was also outstanding. The decor is a bit dated, and the bottled water wasn't great. Everything else was good, though. The breakfast was plentiful, and all the hotel staff were very friendly. The pool is large, with plenty of space to sunbathe. The beach is very close and clean, but the sea isn't suitable for swimming. The water is clear, and you can find small crabs under the rocks. Perfect place for a family, room is clean and smells the best. I am very picky about hygiene so the fact that I say this is a big deal, trust me.
I didn't find any mosquito in the room. But the hotel left some baygon just in case if you need it.

The turn down service was nice too but i wish they left us with a little treat to make it more special
Food is great, the chocolate hour was a nice touch, but i wish they also include at least some water for the children, every drink is extra during this hour. We did request for it to be delivered to our room as our daughter was not in the mood for going down to the restaurant but she really wanted the chocolate, i was alone so I was not possible to leave her by herself…but they denied it, i guess this is a red light for me.
As for the pools, you got options for every age. For the first time my daughter swam for 5 hours! It was just that amazing.
But there is one accident that was unexpected, the swii (floating board with battery) died during the use, my daughter is 4 so yes she was panicked as the pool was deep. Luckily I had a feeling it would happen and I happen to be just behind her. I don’t want to imagine if i was not there next to her…
The service was impeccable and the fact that it is located next to samasta makes our stay a lot more easier. As we wait for check in we had a lunch there and a little shopping. There is a cultural dance in the evening that was a very welcoming sight!
It was about 5-10 mins walk to jimbaran beach, you dont need a buggy for it as the buggy has specific schedules.
If you are looking for a place to dine with Jimbaran beach view and amazing seafood but does not want to go with the crowd, Sundara restaurant behind the hotel was perfect.
My daughter and I had the best Jimbaran fish here, and I am a local! The restaurant belong to FS hotel. So yes the price is high but the food and service is amazing, also you don’t need to go far! The location if this hotel was perfect for a family.
The kids play was good but could be better, honestly if this was marketed as family hotel i think they can put a little more effort in keeping the kids corner updated. There is also a specific section for kids dining area with TV and kids utensils, but somehow is a bit dark.
The food was perfectly separated for halal/no pork. It was the perfect mix between local food and western, i had the best bakso there.
As for room, We had a suite room overlooking the pool, and the fact that we are on 2nd floor makes it so easy to go to restaurant and the pool as it was only 1 stair away.

A five-star hotel where the accommodation, hygiene, and service all deserve full marks.
Especially the breakfast buffet – every dish was delicious! I particularly loved the bakery bar; the Western pastries were amazing. For dinner, we went to their sister hotel (connected to Andaz) for a buffet. The food variety wasn't extensive, but thankfully everything was quite good. There was also a spectacular fire show in the middle. At first, I thought it might be a bit cheesy, but it actually turned out to be quite entertaining!
However, the best part of the entire resort experience, in my opinion, was the beach.
The photo I uploaded was taken at the hotel beach. That night, the sky was clear, and the moon rose over the sea – it was incredibly beautiful! My family and I were walking on the beach after dinner when we saw this scene, and everyone gasped. I never thought I'd actually witness a 'moon rising from the sea,' a sight I'd always thought only existed in Tang Dynasty poetry.

My impressions are mixed. On the plus side: the hotel has a pleasant nook, the road leading to it and the surrounding area are nice, and there's a small lake and a couple of decent restaurants for a quick bite right opposite. It's much better than most of Uluwatu, which is filled with broken roads and endless construction. The rooms are a bit dated; there was a nail sticking out from under the TV stand, and the toilet kept making a flushing noise occasionally after pressing the button, but overall it was clean and tidy. We didn't ask to change rooms, though. Breakfast was satisfactory; like everywhere else, it was sometimes difficult to get eggs from the station, but there were many alternatives like pancakes, local soups and main courses, pastries, and desserts. The same restaurant for lunch/dinner was a bit overpriced, portions were smaller than usual, and there wasn't much meat in the dishes. We also had to order drinks twice and wait before being told they were out of stock. For savings, I recommend joining the hotel's loyalty program for a 20% discount on your bill, but for truly good food, it's better to eat outside the hotel. We booked the hotel with 'bonuses' including a massage, which was fine, and welcome drinks (available any day at the restaurant/bar) – these turned out to be just two tiny glasses of boxed juice. Honestly, it would be better not to offer such a gift at all than to offer that. We only dipped into the pool once; there were no staff members on that floor at all, so we had to bring our own towels. There's a billiards table, but it's always covered with a cloth. There were some cracked tiles and construction boards in places, and they were mowing the lawn nearby. Definitely not a place for a full day of chilling, but you can go for a quick half-hour swim. My biggest dissatisfaction at the hotel was with the towel situation and the staff's response to it. Initially, there were only THREE towels in the room. For two people. In a supposedly four-star hotel. Two bath towels and one foot towel, that's it. Immediately after checking in, we went to the reception and asked for two more small hand towels. A couple of hours later, nothing. We went a second time, and okay, they brought the towels, problem solved. But the next day during cleaning, they took these towels (and note, they weren't thrown on the floor; the hotel's policy is supposedly 'eco-friendly,' and according to the rules in the room, towels for 'replacement' are supposed to be thrown on the floor), and didn't provide new ones. Another trip to reception followed, and we agreed that for the rest of our stay, no towels in our room should be changed at all – just the trash taken out. This rule was followed for another day, but then the towels were taken again. We were too tired to fight it anymore and just accepted it. Judging by other reviews and the situation we observed, there's high staff turnover here; there's one competent administrator, but the rest are green trainees who know absolutely nothing. Also, I recommend getting a room with a balcony, because after two days of drying inside the room, I still had to use a hairdryer on my swimsuit to pack it in my suitcase.
