"This hotel is great. The staff are very nice and helpful in every way. It has all the amenities that’s required for tourists and it’s very clean.. Breakfast was good no complaints here. They even have a QRCODE for a free ride on the tram or bus. how cool is that. They even called a taxi for us to take us to the Viking tor departure. We definitely recommend this hotel. Oh by the way it’s only five minutes walk to the center Basel..GREAT PLACE."

There is no front-desk and we were not sent a check in code for our self check-in upfront, which was annoying. Rooms are sad and updated and unfortunately there was renovation happening during our stay, which was quite loud. The free coffee and pastry station was nice."

However, the overall environment of the hotel is exquisite and comfortable, and the service is very attentive. My pre-stored luggage was already put in my room when I checked in the afternoon. The breakfast was delicious, and there was complimentary tea and coffee available on each floor. It has the style of an old-fashioned European boutique hotel."

"The room itself is OK, and the location is OK. But because there is no air conditioning, it is still a bit stuffy at night. You can borrow an electric fan from the front desk, a Dyson, but there is no remote control, and it is very noisy at the maximum wind speed. Before booking, I saw that toothbrushes were provided, but they were not. The key point is that when I was looking for toothbrushes, I found two pairs of earplugs! I was very curious why the hotel provided this, and I found it at night. It was so noisy. The upstairs is the hotel's bar and breakfast restaurant. It was either the sound of moving tables and chairs or playing music. What's more terrible is that the bars in the two streets in front and behind the hotel are open, all kinds of noises, music, screaming, yelling... It didn't end at 4:30 in the morning. It was crazy. Except for children, adults could still fall asleep. Taking sleeping pills didn't work. I don't recommend this hotel at all."

"Excellent hotel, everything is top notch... The room is spacious by Swiss standards. Excellent location. Good breakfast. They give out a Basel card: free travel on public transport and a 50% discount on museums, theaters and almost everything. The most delicious Swiss apples were waiting for us in the room. Water and fruit daily at the reception."
