Alina0115This time, my sister and I visited Suzhou again and booked this hotel 🏨. We stayed here last year, and both the environment and service were excellent! So, we chose to stay here again. The hotel 🏨 is conveniently located right on Pingjiang Road. After checking in, you also get two complimentary tickets to a Pingtan teahouse 🆓. Last time, we had a king-size room, and this time we got a twin room. There's even a rocking chair in the room that my sister found so comfortable she didn't want to go out sightseeing! The hotel 🏨 room rate includes breakfast, and both the braised pork noodles and braised beef noodles were delicious. After breakfast, we took a nice stroll along Pingjiang Road!

Guest UserThe Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is absolutely the pinnacle of atmospheric getaways in Suzhou, truly a hidden gem of a garden hotel! Friends who love the ancient charm of Jiangnan and a relaxed vacation vibe will fall deeply in love with this place. The location is truly irreplaceable; nestled in the heart of the ancient city, adjacent to the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, you step right out into the bustling streets and alleys of old Suzhou. It's within walking distance to commercial areas, offering tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. You can easily explore ancient streets and visit gardens, yet still enjoy peace and quiet within the hotel – the location is simply superb.
The room experience is incredibly refined and comfortable. The room types are bright and airy with excellent natural light, and the courtyard rooms come with a private small courtyard, allowing you to admire the Suzhou garden scenery right from your bed. The in-room amenities are high-end and complete, featuring branded toiletries and exceptionally high-quality bedding that is soft against the skin and provides comfortable support, ensuring a particularly peaceful night's rest. The independent bathroom is well-designed with thoughtful details, and the mini-bar is fully equipped and convenient to use. Overall, it feels both homey and luxurious, with every detail exuding quality.
What's most heartwarming is the hotel's butler service, which is attentive, meticulous, and responsive throughout. They communicated needs in advance before check-in and were on call during our stay, carefully attending to every aspect from travel and daily routines to replenishing supplies. Their service was gentle yet discreet – special thanks to Ambo! The hotel lobby also features an adorable Golden Retriever named 'Little Sister Jin,' who is incredibly therapeutic. The open and relaxed atmosphere, combined with subtle hints of everyday life, breaks away from the monotonous business hotel model, preserving the unique gentle charm of Jiangnan. It's a niche, luxurious, and highly recommendable place for repeat stays!

Guest UserStaying at Taowu Lanyuan Hotel near Suzhou's Peach Blossom Dock and Humble Administrator's Garden was an absolute hit, exceeding all my expectations for the guest room experience!
The location is truly unbeatable. Nestled within the Tang Bohu Former Residence Cultural Area, it's within walking distance of the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Beisi Pagoda subway station. Right outside the door is the ancient 'Lotus Market' alley. After exploring the gardens, you can leisurely stroll back to the hotel without the hassle of a taxi. The entire building is a traditional Suzhou-style courtyard with white walls and dark tiles, offering a tranquil retreat amidst the bustle. The courtyard's greenery and water features are exquisite, and stepping into the guest room instantly shuts out the street noise.
I stayed in the 'Morning Glow' twin room. Large floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the courtyard greenery; opening the window revealed a classic Jiangnan scene. The room's new Chinese-style decor is warm and elegant, with ink-wash floral murals, solid wood furniture, and Suzhou-style soft furnishings, exuding ancient charm without feeling oppressive. The whole room is smart-controlled; I could adjust the lighting, curtains, and air conditioning with just my voice – modern amenities are top-notch. The cleanliness was impeccable, with no stains on the floors or bathroom corners. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, with a choice of soft or firm pillows. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a quiet, undisturbed sleep until morning. The bathroom was dry-wet separated, hot water was consistent, and the toiletries were high-quality.
The accompanying services were very thoughtful. The front desk staff were warm and enthusiastic, proactively helping with sightseeing routes. The free luggage storage and dedicated free parking for self-drivers saved a lot of trouble. Breakfast offered authentic Suzhou flavors, with a complete selection of Suzhou-style noodles, pastries, and congee, all tasting genuinely local. Public areas include a fitness zone and a relaxation tea room, making it very pleasant to sit and enjoy tea in the courtyard after a tiring day of sightseeing.
Overall, the hotel perfectly balances Jiangnan garden aesthetics with a comfortable living experience. It's ideal for short trips or couples, and I would definitely choose it again on my next visit to Suzhou. Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

Guest UserThe location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from Pingjiang Road. After exploring Pingjiang Road, it's perfectly situated to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum. The hotel has an antique charm, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area. I was pleasantly surprised to find a direct dispenser for hot and cold drinking water in the room. Breakfast isn't a buffet; you choose your items the day before, but it's so delicious and generous that we only wished our stomachs were bigger! From the moment we checked in, every staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to Front Desk Agent Xiao Xu, who contacted us even before our arrival to give us directions and continued to check in on us until we checked out. She truly made this short trip perfect, and we're so grateful!

Miki LoveeeA super beautiful and clean hotel 🏨! The four sodas in the room were complimentary, and there was a full-length mirror. You could also listen to music and watch movies in the room. Right across from the hotel is a seafood street, and next door there are tons of great food options, so you'll never go hungry. The hotel is only 10 minutes from Qilishantang, which is a fantastic spot for photoshoots in Suzhou. Plus, the Squirrel Fish restaurant next to Shantang is delicious 🤤🤤. There were also vendors selling super waterproof, durable, skin-friendly, and affordable Vietnamese gold-plated jewelry. I bought a few pieces to take home as gifts for friends without breaking the bank 🌝🌝. I even met a little fox at night and took a great picture together ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻. But the photographer said the foxes would be even bigger in November because they come from Harbin, so maybe I'll come back in November next time! 🤭

Anonymous UserThe hotel is a bit far from the city center, but it's conveniently located if you're planning to visit the nearby mountains or Taihu Lake. Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall with a Cha Yan Yue Se (tea house), making dining and shopping very convenient. Although this is a Marriott extended-stay brand, we discovered it's a hidden gem for families with kids. During the May Day holiday, they had daily kids' activities. On our check-in day, we participated in a kite-painting activity at the lobby bar, and after painting, we flew the kites on the lawn in front of the hotel. My child had an absolute blast!
We were assigned the smallest suite and received complimentary welcome desserts. The front desk staff, noticing we had a child, proactively sent kids' toiletries to our room, which felt like a very thoughtful touch. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, perfectly meeting the needs of an extended stay.

Guest UserWe stayed 1 night in this lovely hotel on a Sunday night. We managed to check in early at 1 pm and was upgraded from the 30 sqm king room we booked to a larger 41 sqm room. The room is new and used lovely bath amenities, an Australian hotel brand. Our stay came with a set dinner for 2 persons and the food was delicious. The pricing in the hotel restaurant is similar or cheaper than any other regular Chinese restaurant outside. We paid the next day at lunch time to eat Chinese food at the hotel again as the restaurant environment is nice and service is good. They have a very well equipped gym which unfortunately we did not have time to use during our 24 hour stay. Our room rate included breakfast and the selection was generous, the only negative would be the coffee beans they used are too acidic but that’s a personal preference. The location of the hotel is slightly to 1 side of the Suzhou old city but some sights like 网师园 are walking distance. Suzhou city is actually quite spread out, no one location is best for sightseeing. The great thing is didi only cost less than RMB10 per ride from this hotel so it is still very convenient. I would not bother with the Suzhou subway, it is not as convenient as the one in Shanghai. Oh yes, the cable TV have english programming which is nice for a hotel in China. I believe this Artyzen Habitat brand is managed by the Macau Shun Tak group. Will stay here again for good value and service. 这个酒店非常好,值得回来再住。五星级的设施,四星级的价钱。

This guesthouse is nestled in a bustling commercial street, yet offers a unique sense of tranquility. The second floor is a pleasant surprise, situated right in the heart of the Pingjiang Road core business district. It allows guests to easily enjoy the fun of exploring, shopping, and taking photos nearby, while also being able to retreat to peace and quiet at any time. Choosing to stay here was definitely a wise decision. The guesthouse staff provided meticulous and thoughtful service, arranging the best possible room type for us. The hygiene was good, and all the soft and hardware facilities were well-equipped.
