Amazing place, really close to South gate of Old town, it's my second time coming here, first time solo second time with family, the hosts are really nice, the rooms are big and comfortable. I would highly recommend eveyone

Super nice family-run guesthouse, host can speak English and very friendly. Fantastic location, clean room and beautiful furnitures. Further, very typical local style architecture with lovely yard. On sunny days, you will see mountain in distance with gorgeous views. And the price is very reasonable. I would say great values. Located just outside of the South Gate of Dali Ancient Town, within 10 minutes walking, you definitely will be under the magnificent gate of the old town. Nothing to complain about. 

The hotel was closed to the Dali Ancient Town (South gate), and the hospitality was very good, they always greeted us with smiles, also, the staff helped us to carry our luggage until our room, and they even give us a gift before we leave 🥹 Definitely my first choice of accommodation when i come back to this lovely country!

The host was incredibly nice. They contacted us in advance, told us exactly where to get off, met us there ahead of time, and even helped us carry our luggage up to our room. The owner is of Bai ethnicity; their family lives on the ground floor, with guest rooms on the second and third floors. The Bai-style screen wall in the small courtyard is very beautiful, and the rooms themselves are very comfortable. There's also a swing on the rooftop, which the kids absolutely loved. The inn is located just outside the South Gate of the Ancient City. It's a mere two-minute walk to the 'Six-Meridian Divine Sword' branch of Duangongzi Dali Cuisine, and only three minutes to the South Gate of the Ancient City itself. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep.

Great location right in the old town! It’s in the pedestrian area full of tourists, restaurants and shops, but since it’s a bit tucked away it still feels peaceful. The family is super welcoming, the inner garden is lovely, and the room is simple but very clean. Perfect base for exploring the city!

The guesthouse is situated just outside Dali Ancient City, offering a relatively quiet retreat. Tucked away in an alley, it's nonetheless easy to find thanks to clear signage. The owner has beautifully and tastefully maintained the charming local courtyard. The owner was incredibly warm and hospitable, making me feel like a valued guest in their own home. My room was on the third floor, and they kindly helped me with my luggage. Every aspect of their service was thoughtful and comprehensive.

This charming B&B is run by locals and is set in a beautiful, traditional Bai ethnic house. Its location is superb, tucked away in an alley directly opposite the South Gate of the Ancient City. However, it can be a bit tricky to locate initially. The owner is incredibly welcoming and friendly; he even guided us to the correct address over the phone and helped us arrange parking. As a thoughtful gesture, he gave us a box of local flower cakes when we checked out. Stepping out of the B&B, you're immediately on a lively street packed with restaurants and shops, making everything incredibly convenient.

This place is perfectly located right by the South Gate of the ancient city, just a two-minute walk away. There are countless delicious food options right outside, and my family particularly enjoyed the variety at Duan Gongzi. A major plus was the absence of mosquitoes and how incredibly clean it was. The owners live on-site, and the overall environment is excellent! They are also very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Dali.

This guesthouse is the owner's family home, run by a Dali Bai ethnic family who all live on-site. This personal touch means they're incredibly attentive and genuinely care about their guests' needs. The location is superb, right by the South Gate – a major advantage. We stayed for 4 nights, splitting our time between a family room and a garden view room. Both rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed. The housekeeper cleaned daily, and their attention to detail was evident throughout. The bathrooms were spotless too. The ground floor courtyard is exquisitely designed, with bonsai, gentle water features, and miniature pagodas artfully arranged among vibrant flowers, making it truly beautiful. The owners even change the fresh flower arrangements in the vases every day, a clear sign of their appreciation for a beautiful life. For two of our nights, we enjoyed the largest and arguably best room – it was incredibly comfortable, and we were thoroughly satisfied. You can capture stunning mountain views right from the doorway (a common area, so all guests can enjoy and photograph it!). Make sure to venture up to the next floor! Next to the third-floor rooms, a spiral staircase leads up to a swing. From there, you can watch the misty mountain scenery unfold while gently swaying. Swinging with Cangshan Mountain as your backdrop is an absolutely magical experience!

Amenities: There's a washing machine available, along with a rooftop area perfect for drying laundry. Cleanliness: The place is run by a family, and they put a lot of effort into keeping it spotless. Environment: It's a beautiful Bai-style courtyard. The owners are incredibly thoughtful – the fresh flowers in the corridor vases are always new, and there are even small fish in the pond. You can tell they're a family who pours their heart into this place and truly loves life. Service: The service was incredibly warm and attentive. Even though there was a minor issue, the young lady who runs the place was very sincere and dedicated to resolving it. She didn't try to shirk responsibility at all, which is why I absolutely have to give them a positive review. This was my third visit to Yunnan, but my first time in Dali. If I ever return, I would definitely choose to stay here again. Unlike a standard hotel, this guesthouse has a wonderful, authentic 'lived-in' feel, making you truly feel present in the moment and connected to the local life.

I was truly impressed by the facilities at Dali Honglin Pavilion Inn! The solid wood furniture in the room had a lovely, warm feel to it. The bedding was incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud – I never wanted to get out of bed! Even the pillow height was perfectly comfortable. The separate wet and dry areas in the private bathroom were excellent, and the hot water came quickly and consistently. It was so refreshing to wash away the day's fatigue! What really impressed me were the thoughtful details – USB charging ports right by the bed meant I didn't have to search for outlets or use extension cords when charging my phone before bed. The room also came with a small tea set and local tea, and brewing a pot while gazing at Cangshan Mountain from the window instantly created a wonderfully relaxed, holiday vibe. The common area lounge was also fantastic, with cozy rattan sofas under warm lighting, making it a perfect spot to relax and chat with friends. The facilities were new, well-maintained, and incredibly thoughtful. They truly exceeded all my expectations, and I wholeheartedly give this place full marks!

The location is great, very close to the South Gate of Dali Old Town. The owner and their family were incredibly welcoming and helpful, even proactively offering to assist with our luggage. We booked a triple room, which was spotless and provided with disposable toiletries. There's also a rooftop area, which is handy for drying clothes. While breakfast wasn't included, the owner thoughtfully gave us a pack of local rose petal cakes. The only small drawback was that, due to the rain, the bedding felt a little damp.
