When I arrived at this hotel early in the morning, I actually felt puzzled, wondering if all the surrounding shops and other hotels were closed. It seemed that not only was it not the peak tourist season, but the economic situation might also be unfavorable, which likely explained it. Since I arrived at the hotel too early, no rooms were ready yet. So, I left my luggage with the hotel first and set out for a tour of the western course of Mount Baekdu. When I returned, my luggage had already been placed in the room assigned to me. The condition of the room was impeccably clean. When I woke up in the morning and opened the curtains, the bright sunlight streaming into the room made me feel incredibly refreshed. I went down to the lobby for breakfast, and the hotel owner personally set the table. The food was exceptionally neat and delicious. Moreover, the owner spoke better English than anyone else at other hotels, which was a great help. It was a clean, cozy, and comfortable hotel to stay in. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator, but carrying luggage up one floor shouldn’t be a problem for most people. And considering that the hotel is right across from the western tourism center of Mount Baekdu, its location more than makes up for the inconvenience of not having an elevator. 我一大早到达这家酒店时，其实心里有些疑惑，感觉周围的商店和其他酒店好像都没营业。这可能不仅是因为现在不是旅游旺季，经济不景气也可能是一个原因。 由于我到酒店太早，房间还没整理好，所以我先将行李寄存在酒店，然后出发去长白山西坡景区游览。 回来时，我的行李已经放在分配好的房间里了。 房间干净得无可挑剔。早上醒来拉开窗帘，明媚的阳光照进房间，心情格外舒畅。 下楼到大厅吃早餐时，酒店老板亲自为我摆桌，食物非常整洁美味。 而且，老板的英语比其它任何酒店的员工都好，这给了我很大帮助。 这是一家干净、舒适、温馨的酒店。 唯一的缺点是没有电梯，但提着行李只上一层楼对大多数人来说应该不是问题。考虑到酒店正对着长白山西坡旅游中心，其优越的地理位置完全足以弥补没有电梯的不便。

We stayed at Holik for 6 nights and it was fantastic! We wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately, this room type was fully booked, so we had to move to Wanda. Even though we were in a two-bedroom suite at Wanda, we still missed the spacious and bright two-bedroom at Holik. What's amazing is that among the three hotels in two different resorts in Changbai Mountain that my kids stayed at this time, their favorite was Holik, which also happened to be the best value for money. + The suite comes with a Siemens washer-dryer, which is super convenient, and housekeeping provides plenty of laundry detergent. + The twin beds can be combined to form a super large bed, and the room attendant was very enthusiastic. + The front desk staff were incredibly patient. They helped me plan routes within the resort, arranged for us to check in as quickly as possible, assisted us with booking and chasing cars for our outings, and patiently answered all sorts of questions from my elderly parents. + Wang Bingzhu, the Guest Services Manager, proactively sent me the resort's schedule, reminded me of specific activity locations, quickly answered all my questions, and patiently checked for availability to extend our stay multiple times, though unfortunately, there was never a room available. 😂 + The room has an abundance of power outlets and USB ports in both bedrooms and the living room, which is very convenient. + The desk area is equipped with ceiling spotlights and a desk lamp.

Impression: The hotel is so cute and really kids oriented. Its newly built and opened, hence not all taxi driver knew about the location. In Trip.com - English, the name is Sunggari Club Hotel. But if you want to ask taxi driver or bus, you should mention Sungouli instead and search in Amap using chinese name given in Trip.com. Location: West slope of Changbaishan. If the weather permitted, you can see the peak of Changbaishan from far away but very nice view. It was more happening at night around Swissotel area and more shops and restaurant around that area. Hotspring located in Clubmed building not far ifrom Swissotel and Burger King. The shuttle bus will only drop and pickup at Swissotel and not Clubmed, so you have to walk back to Swissotel once you finished with the hotspring. Pros: 1. Kids friendly - decorations, play area, room. All so cute and pretty. 2. The room package inclusive of the entrance vouchers and activities - skiing, deer place, hot spring, special event, breakfast. So it is really worth the money. 3. All the staffs are so friendly and helpful - even tried their best to communicate with us in English. 4. There is laundry room with washing machine and dryer and the detergents to wash and dry your clothes. Cons: 1. The hotel supposed to be kids friendly, but smoking is allowed inside the hotel. We've requested non-smoking room and we've got it. but the problem is, it is not non-smoking floor. Shockingly, there is smoking area in the hallway of the rooms besides the elevator in every level. So the smell will travel to the entire hallway and into the room. Since it was winter and heavy snow, we can't really open the window to let the smell get off. It was so suffocating. Really frustrated in regards of this as I strongly suggest for the hotel to consider implement a strict rules not allowed smoking in the premise and have a dedicated smoking area far from the room and eating place to promote safe place for the kids. 2. Even the hotel considered new, the toilet bowl still old-school, not automated as most of the new airbnb/homestay that we went. So for Malaysian, no bidet is the big concern 😅.

After the Mid-Autumn Festival here, the moon cakes were very sweet, and I saw the fireworks, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. I brought my parents to live for 3 days and the whole family was very satisfied! In the homestay, quiet in the middle of noisy, there is a small yard at the door, and a small vegetable garden planted by the boss himself. It is very warm and clean. My parents can drink tea and sunbathe there every morning. The boss was very patient and helped us plan a slow tour route that was not in a hurry. The location was simply excellent and it was very close to our attractions. The room is quiet, the layout is warm and distinctive, the furniture in the comfortable room is not sharp corners, the hot water is stable for 24 hours, and the water temperature is also suitable for elders. The hygiene is done carefully, and there is no dust in the depths of the wardrobe. My parents said that it is more comfortable than living at home! No matter the facilities, sanitation, environment, and service are impeccable in all aspects, it is simply the best choice for travel!

The twin room was spacious enough for two kids to run around! It even had a small balcony. The furnishings inside were clean and new, and the whole room was equipped with smart devices. Downstairs, there's also a washing machine and dryer. The ladies at the front desk were all incredibly nice! They answered every question we had. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so one of the lovely ladies at the front desk specifically helped us call a restaurant owner to arrange pick-up and drop-off to and from the hotel. The room also came with complimentary access to the nearby hot spring, which has both indoor and outdoor sections. It might be a bit small for adults, but it's still enough for a good soak. For kids, it's paradise – they had so much fun! Getting to Changbai Mountain is super convenient too; the West Slope scenic area is only about a 5-10 minute walk away. Overall, it was a very good experience.

I forgot to take pictures of the room but I love how huge it is, perfect for groups and families to stay. The host is also very responsive and helpful. He picked up and dropped me off from and to the Railway station, just tell him what you need and he does his best to comply to the requests. The foods are also very local and tasty. The hotel is just few minutes of walk from Wanda Ski Resort. You can also take a taxi from the hotel to Wanda for more or less than 10rmb. The hotel is just near from several restaurants and stores. I even rented my ski suit from the store just near the hotel for only 80rmb/day with a deposit (refundable) of 300rmb which is way cheaper than renting ski suits from Wanda. The hotel is in Guosongcun and the place is perfect for those who want peace and quiet, away from too much crowd. Overall, my stay was absolutely pleasant and if I come back to Changbaishanxi again, I will definitely book the same hotel 👍👍👍❤️

After visiting two resorts, Wanda definitely stands out on the hotel front. They called me a day before check-in to ask if I had any special requests, which I really appreciated! 👍🏻 Check-in was quick, and our butler, David, was super responsive on WeChat. He'd check in every evening to see if we needed anything and answered all our questions, helping us solve any issues we had. Big thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻 The kids had a blast using all their benefits, the Old-timer experience is definitely worth trying – the slides, carts, grass sledding, and boating were all so much fun. Breakfast was five-star quality, with fresh jianbing guozi and doufunao. We'll definitely be back! The only slight drawback was the resort's mini-train, which only runs every half hour and has limited seating, making getting around a bit inconvenient. Luckily, the shared electric bikes made up for it. Also, the main road lighting at night was a bit dim.

I checked in quite late, but Manager Wang from the guest services department provided exceptional service. He was very patient and helpful with my hotel benefits during check-in, and his service throughout my stay was incredibly thoughtful, always checking if our room needed anything. Thumbs up to him! 👍 The room was also clean, making my stay comfortable and pleasant.

The room facilities here are much better than at the Hyatt, even though both hotels are from the same period. The facilities here must have been updated and are of higher quality. The TV is also larger, and the overall feel is more refined. Most importantly, the food is delicious 😋! My kids absolutely loved it. For breakfast, you can order à la carte, and the beef congee, beef pancakes, and Swiss yogurt were all very tasty and exquisitely prepared. The environment is quieter here, making it more suitable for those who prefer peace and quiet. In terms of service, there's a shuttle bus available, as the location is a bit out of the way, not in the town center, which contributes to the quiet atmosphere. I made a last-minute change to this hotel, and my booking wasn't updated promptly, but Joy at the front desk patiently helped us confirm everything. I really appreciate the thoughtful service. In summary, while the location isn't ideal, the environment and facilities are better, the service is excellent, and the food is the best.

The room is in a community, there is a security guard at the door, the community is also very quiet, and the small forest next door is very beautiful. The landlord is very enthusiastic, helped answer many many questions, and recommended many local food, drink and fun strategies. My mobile phone accidentally dropped in the scenic spot, and the landlord was also very enthusiastic to give the address and help receive it back to me. The heating in the room is also very sufficient, the room is not cold at all, the key things need to be said again: the landlord is very Nice, warm and beautiful!
