This is a heartwarming guesthouse with a sophisticated style and thoughtful details. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are attentive and considerate. The rooms offer stunning snow views right outside the window. The breakfast is nutritious and includes a soup. There are many farmhouses nearby for dinner, offering better value and more choices than eating inside Wanda Plaza! The guesthouse includes a jungle trek and snowmobile activities, one for each day, which the kids loved. The jungle trek was especially special, with only four or five people and two guides leading and protecting them – a forest hiking experience unlike any other, it felt like childhood. This place is perfect for playing in the snow, enjoying the snow, and taking the kids on a vacation. I usually don't write reviews, but this experience was just so wonderful that I'm definitely coming back next year! 🥳

My flight landed in Changbai Mountain at 11:15 PM, and I had tickets for the West Slope at 7:30 AM the next day. After much deliberation, I chose the Blue River Hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. It saved me both travel time and distance, and I had a comfortable and safe stay. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, right at the old West Slope entrance. This saved me the trip from Wanda or the town to the main entrance, and then to the old entrance. From the old entrance, you just take a shuttle bus into the West Slope scenic area, and it drops you right at the base of Tianchi Lake. The hotel lobby is incredibly spacious, parking is convenient, the rooms are well-equipped, and they even provide complimentary welcome fruit. Breakfast starts promptly at 7 AM, with a good variety of options. The taste was decent, and I even snuck out two steamed buns to eat on the mountain 😂. I highly recommend the peach juice; the peaches 🍑 from Changbai Mountain are incredibly appealing. The front desk staff were so polite I almost felt embarrassed 😅. When I checked in, they recognized my name from a distance. The next day, as I left, they reminded me to take my umbrella. And when I returned in the afternoon to collect my luggage after exploring, they gave me more fruit and water, and kept asking if there was anything they could have done better. In summary, while the facilities might be a bit older, their shortcomings don't overshadow the positives. I highly recommend this hotel 🏨 to anyone following a similar itinerary as mine.

Our first stop in Changbai Mountain was the newly opened hotel on the West Slope. They offered a complimentary airport pick-up service, which was super convenient as we didn't have to drag our luggage around looking for the hotel. The hotel itself is in a fairly lively area, probably the tallest building in town. The West Slope scenic area was closed, so we spent the afternoon enjoying activities at the forest park not far from the hotel, which was great since they provided shuttle service. Dining and shopping nearby were very convenient; there were restaurants all along the street and a local specialty shop across the road. The hotel breakfast was just okay, but I didn't have high expectations anyway. Ordering takeout was also easy, and a robot would deliver it right to our room.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for visiting the South Slope the next day. The room was clean and tidy, and we could easily access the hot springs downstairs. The hot spring water was clear and sparkling, very comfortable. Dining at the restaurant downstairs was also very convenient. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Facilities: RV facilities are basically complete, can meet the needs of accommodation. Hygienic: The sanitation in the RV is very clean, there is no big problem. Because it is located in the forest area, the friends should pay attention to closing the doors and screens in time to prevent mosquitoes when they check in. Environment: The surrounding environment is beautiful, embracing the feeling of nature, the light pollution is less at night, and the sky is full of stars, which is beautiful. Service: It is recommended that the hotel can remind the guests how to open the electricity and water of the RV. Many people do not know how to live for the first time. Breakfast: Breakfast is eaten at a nearby hotel, pay attention to go early, there are many people on holidays. Dining: Driving to the commercial street there are some food, eat Burger King, not bad. With the rights: The sky glass of the resort bridge must be punched in, it is beautiful! Then there is Luyuan, just look at it, there are not many deer. Camp activities: The iron flowers at night are beautiful! Recommended! Other: pet friendly on big points! Recommended for parents with hairy children!

We chose the E-Hua Hotel for our trip to Changbai Mountain with the kids. Our butler, David, provided excellent service, and the hotel's cleanliness was good. However, the facilities are a bit old; the air conditioning was very loud when on, and the toilet showed its age. The laundry room was convenient to use, and breakfast offered a wide variety. We arrived on the 15th and luckily caught the fireworks festival, then successfully hiked to the West Slope to see the Heavenly Lake on the 16th – it all felt so worth it! Taxis are readily available right outside the hotel, making it super easy to get around. We also highly recommend Qiaopopo Restaurant, which the hotel suggested; the food was delicious, prices were reasonable, and they even offer a shuttle service! Definitely a great find!

The ladies at the front desk were all so nice. When they found out we were traveling as a family, they upgraded us to a family room since conditions allowed. The room was huge, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. The air conditioning provided plenty of warmth. The main thing is that the location is absolutely superb, only an hour's drive from the south slope of Tianchi Lake. Plus, breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, so you don't have to worry about missing it if you want to see Tianchi. The hotel also has hot springs, and the bathroom even specifically states that the hot water is bicarbonate sodium hot spring water, and the cold water is drinkable mineral water. The only minor downsides were that no one cleaned the room on the second day of our two-night stay, and the bathroom sink design isn't very practical. Other than that, everything was great. When you're traveling in the mountains, being able to stay somewhere clean, warm, and comfortable is what really matters, so don't be too picky. We'd definitely come back if we have the chance!

I visited the western side of Mt. Baekdu for sightseeing. Although we couldn't see Mt. Baekdu due to the rain and are returning, the accommodation is located about a 5-minute walk from the Mt. Baekdu gathering center. It is incredibly close. There are also many Korean restaurants in the plaza, so you can easily walk out and have a meal. Since check-out is at 2 PM, it is nice to be able to leave our luggage comfortably before heading up the mountain. Although it is an older hotel, it has a swimming pool, sauna, and open-air bath, as well as a convenience store on the first floor. The location is excellent. We urgently needed a car for a long distance, so we contacted the hotel, and I was grateful that they introduced us to a vehicle. I will come back to challenge Mt. Baekdu again next time.

The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service from the station. It's extremely close to the West Scenic Area distribution center; if you want to get into the scenic area early, this is the place to go. The hotel is very convenient for shopping and dining. There's a food street downstairs, and any place you pick up is acceptable. You can also take a 10 RMB shuttle bus to town for food. The only downside is the breakfast; it's really not very good, and there aren't many suitable breakfast restaurants nearby. It's mainly just for getting by. They also gave us music festival tickets, which we experienced with our child, and it was great. Overall, we were very satisfied.
