"The hotel claimed to be close to the central station, but it's actually about a 10-minute walk, and you have to go up a steep hill, which isn't ideal if you have luggage. The room facilities are basic, with a kettle and a coffee machine. The bathroom is a bit small, and the shower water tends to leak out, so you need to be careful not to slip. The main elevator door downstairs seems to close around 8:00 PM, so guests returning later have to use the stairs, which is inconvenient if you're carrying bags. There's an underground parking lot, which is good for those traveling by car."

"The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help. You can even call reception late at night, and they'll come and assist you. They change towels, and there's tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and milk available. The downside is that it was very cold when we stayed in winter. The air conditioning didn't work for heating. A maintenance worker came, but nothing changed. The washing machine was old, and we struggled to close the door until the administrator from reception came to help. The hotel is right in the city center, so everything is within walking distance. The Sky Deck is 15 minutes away, the train station is across the street, and there's a grocery store in the same building."

"Very nice location, can access all major tourist spot by walking, the service was top and friendly, I was able to get the room earlier than the check in time, the room is good size and clean. The plus is the free parking space. No lifts, a bit inconvenient with luggage."

"Highly recommended for the price! I stayed one night to get to the airport in the morning, and it was perfect for that. The room had everything you needed, and there were plenty of bathrooms. The good thing about the bathrooms was that they were individual. The room was equipped with a fridge and a microwave. There was also a kitchen, which unfortunately wasn't very well-equipped, but it was sufficient for my needs. The man at the front desk was very relaxed and nice. The deposit was returned a few hours after check-out. The only real downside was that you could hear everything. The walls were very thin, and you could hear everything from above as well. The street was also very noisy. However, it barely bothered me personally. I would definitely come back for a short stay."

"We booked a private 3 bed room as a couple. It was spacious enough for us. The mattress could get changed as it’s quite worn down. The AC was actually disgusting to say the least. It’s good they have one in the room but we had to turn it off because it smelled really bad. Luckily we went in winter so the small window was fine. The community areas were tidy as well as the bathrooms. We did not use the pool but it’s a great addition to have! Breakfast was fine as well"

"The location was absolutely perfect, being incredibly close to Brisbane's Roma Street Station. In other backpacker hostels near Coles, you'd have to walk downhill for about 11 minutes to the station or drag heavy luggage, which is a real pain. But here, getting around was so easy and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. Usually, I only book 4-bed dorms, but this was my first time trying a 6-bed dorm. Surprisingly, it was much quieter and more comfortable than a 4-bed dorm, perhaps because there were fewer people using it. If you're visiting during the off-peak season, it might be a good tip to try your luck (gamble) with a 6-bed or even 8-bed dorm! The lounge and kitchen on the second floor are conveniently located together, making it really easy to socialize and use the facilities during my stay. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. 💡 **Booking Tip!** If you're with a companion and want adjoining beds (like a double bed setup), I recommend emailing the hostel in advance to request this before your arrival!"

"The 63rd-floor view was absolutely amazing, offering a wide-open panorama that was simply the best. My two-night stay was perfectly comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment is right in front of the Botanic Gardens, which was great for morning strolls and exercise. Its convenient location also made it easy to walk to various places. The staff were friendly. However, the cleanliness of the room was not good and definitely needs improvement – seriously! There was a lot of dust, and the dishes and cooking utensils weren't thoroughly cleaned. This was a significant disappointment!"

"Our stay at Madison Tower Mill Hotel was comfortable and convenient. The hotel is located close to the Brisbane CBD, Roma Street Station, and Central Station, making it easy to get around. There is also a City Loop bus stop right next to the hotel, which is very handy. One downside is that the hotel is situated on a hill, so there are quite a few steep walks and stairs when returning to the property. The hotel also provides limited amenities, no toiletries, and no slippers provided, meaning guests need to walk barefoot on the cold floor. The room size was okay but comfortable, with enough space for four people to move around without feeling cramped. Overall, it is a good option for travellers looking for a convenient location close to public transport and the city centre."

GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always willing to help with a smile. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

HHo BoboRooms are spacious and clean, and the location is excellent. However, the amenities are lacking. Disposable slippers and combs are not provided unless asked, and the kettle is the worst kettle designed I've ever experienced. But the weakest point of the hotel is the lack of parking, where it is first come first serve. This created a lot of stress about having to come back early to secure a parking spot and caused us to avoid using our rental car during the day.

LLast TouristLocation & amenities:  The location is the biggest asset of this nice independent hotel. It's near Toowong shopping center and the shops and restaurants that surround it, which include chemists & a 24 hour 7-11 convenience store. The hotel itself is home to the Katsuco Japanese restaurant on its ground floor- famous for its good Japanese food. There is free parking for guests, but the lots are limited (approximately 25 lots). There is free street parking along Sherwood road on the same side as the hotel. Hotel design, ambience, service:  The hotel lobby is cozy and compact, with a small seating area in front of the reception desk. Depending on the day of the week & time of day, the staff range from invisible to proactively polite & are generally nice. There is a lift to take you to your rooms over the three floors that it spans. Room design, comfort, acoustics: (deluxe King) The rooms are decently sized- with adequate room for luggage and sufficient points for charging. There is an ironing board, kettle, room safe, free tea bags, the usual soaps & conditioners and moisturizers provided. The bathrooms are well designed with a nifty smart/switchable/ dynamic glass looking into the bedroom. The shower head is a rain shower type - definitely giving it cred. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable indeed- standout & remarkable. There are blackout curtains which work well. As for the acoustics- overall decently quiet given the location at the corner of a busy crossroad. Noise from the corridor does seep in depending on your neighbors. There is also the usual mild hum & grumble from the bar fridge & whine from the air conditioner. The occasional street car cacophony can be heard during the day, but generally it's quiet at night. So a good night's sleep is mostly achievable. Overall: At the risk of making it more popular than it already is, this is a highly recommended property outside the city, with free parking. Will return if in the area!

GGuest UserThis is an excellent hotel with a fantastic stay experience! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff Saly for her amazing service. She was extremely patient in answering all my questions during the check-in process and kindly arranged a room upgrade for me, which made my stay even more comfortable. The upgraded room is clean, spacious and has a great view. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained and the location is convenient. Thanks to Saly's thoughtful service, this trip was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again!

GGuest UserThe highlight of our stay was definitely the front desk staff. They were so welcoming and friendly, and they even allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. The luggage storage service was also very helpful and convenient. The location is excellent, making it incredibly easy to get around the city. However, the room itself could use some improvement. The cleaning wasn't up to standard as there was quite a lot of dust in the room. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom sink was very weak. Overall, it is a convenient place to stay with fantastic service, but they really need to improve their room maintenance and cleanliness.

GGuest UserThis accommodation was in a spectacularly convenient location for a GIG that I was attending this week. The Team on-site were incredibly helpful. I had a small issue when I got there with the fridge not working and it had tripped the breaker; the maintenance guy came and sorted it out and then replaced the mini fridge thing for me as well. All within 30 minutes. Amazing. He also offered tips to assist with making the most out of the aircon and the double-glazing which was also super helpful so I could get a good nights sleep afterward. The place was nice & clean and tidy with an exceptionally large sized bed. It was surprisingly quiet being right beside an active pub as well. Unless I was in the hallway, I couldn't hear a thing. I could hear my neighbours though...! Beautiful artwork through the building, and the hallways didn't smell awful either. They had cool little work nooks in the stairwells you could use if you wish and I think I saw some business suites on the 1st floor you could use for meetings. Not so amazing parts: There was clearly mould in some areas in bathroom areas.. they oddly have glass doors on the toilets?? that's strange. No ventilation in the bathroom to prevent the mould too. The air-conditioning was genuinely effective but it was clearly not well maintained as there was dust & mould forming around the vent and the roof section where the duct was, had starting bowing. Booking process via Trip.com - not great. The information provided by the website indicated they'd hold the amount of the booking but we had to pay the amount AT the hotel plus a deposit fee for incidentals...(on top of the amount they already took). That was actually not the case... I didn't have to give them anything at all except ID and verify my general details. When I got there, the nice man at reception told me I was all good to go and no extra fees or holds were required. All in all, a good stay. The place could use some extra love and attention to detail but for the price I paid? I'm not bothered.

GGuest UserIt was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site. Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in. Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in. Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think. I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist. Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!) I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house) So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one. Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit. We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have. If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.

SStevie BBFirst time I've stayed here. I was aware of the mixed reviews & I've stayed at other hotels in Chermie but they were booked out on this occasion. It was raining heavily when I arrived so appreciated the undercover parking spaces immediately outside the reception. Check-in was seamless (thx Trip.com) & they didn't require a security deposit or CC scan so my customer trust box was ticked :-) The car park is secure & at ground level but spaces are limited; I was able to find a spot though at 4pm. There is public parking out on the street without restriction after 5pm. I had a Hotel Queen Room on the 2nd floor. Easy access via lift and the common areas were clean & well lit. The room and bathroom were clean with a pleasant aroma & no smell of mould (reported by others), air-con was on. I had a choice of two sliding doors to access the balcony so good for fresh air (but no insect screen). Overall, the room was comfortable whilst showing some signs of wear & tear. The shower had a choice of either hand-held or fixed head (rainforest type) & had plenty of pressure - great. I would recommend bringing your own toiletries, unless you're happy with generic multi-function liquid soap! The fridge was empty except for a small uht milk with no complimentary springwater or mini-bar that you might find in other hotels. There was TV, tea/coffee making supplies and a small microwave. If you like to sleep in complete darkness (like me), bring an eye-mask as the hallway lighting outside the room is bright & on all night, creating an aura around the front door that is hard not to notice. The area was relatively quiet with the hotel located on a side street. It's an easy & short walk to a major shopping centre and the bus station if you need to head into Briz City, which is a 20-30min ride away & only $0.50 fare - awesome. Breakfast (from 7am) was also included but I had to head-off early so wasn't able to grab a bite this time. In summary, I felt that the room rate was appropriate and score my overall experience as good.
