This is an old-fashioned hotel with over a hundred years of history in the area. It's a combination of two classical hotel buildings, a modern central lobby and restaurant built more recently, and a two-story modern apartment-style accommodation at the back. The two classical hotel buildings are Carlton and Europe. Their interiors have been largely optimized for modern needs. The current hotel owners, while renovating, had to adhere to government regulations for preserving the antique structure. However, the rest of the amenities have been modernized as much as possible, with original wood flooring used for repairs and replacements. Overall, it's a very good hotel! Breakfast is buffet-style, but the selection is essentially a Swiss-European breakfast: yogurt, bread and jam, juice, hot tea and coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pan-fried shredded potatoes, fruit, and various cheeses and cold cuts. For tourists not accustomed to Western-style meals, it might be a bit challenging. The restaurant also offers additional egg dishes or other options for an extra charge – but you have to pay more! The location is very convenient. Right outside is Interlaken Ost station, the starting point for various attractions in the Alps. You can even take a boat from here to the small town of Brienz, or to Iseltwald, famous for the Korean drama 'Crash Landing on You.' Both the pier and the small castle are stunning scenic spots. Upon check-in, the front desk provides a free bus pass, allowing you to take buses to explore various towns. This is different from the mountain trains and cable cars, which require extra payment to go up the mountains quickly. Generally, most attractions stop going up the mountain after 5 PM, so it's best to start early in the morning to make good use of your time! However, this hotel still has its drawbacks. For example, while the water supply is comprehensive, the hot and cold water stability is very poor. Turning on the hot water can be scalding, and sometimes it suddenly turns cold mid-shower, then becomes super hot again. The showering experience is quite subpar! Each guest room uses a classical keyhole lock for opening and closing the door. There's no modern double-bolt lock; you have to lock the door from the inside with the door key. The upside is that once locked from the inside, the keyhole is filled by the key, preventing anyone from picking the lock from the outside. When you go out and lock up, the heavy key can be left in the mail slot at the front desk, or entrusted to the front desk for safekeeping, in a classic manner! Most importantly, this hotel does not allow children! According to the owner's vision, he wants this hotel to be adult-focused, allowing busy people to enjoy their own time while traveling and recharging, rather than having to take care of children during their vacation. This way, adults can truly live for themselves. Therefore, this hotel does not allow guests under 16 years old. If you plan to book with children, please look for accommodation elsewhere – it's better for both parties! Overall, this is a good place for mature individuals to stay, perfect for those focused on enjoying mountain excursions. Who wouldn't want to return to their hotel immediately after coming down the mountain to rest?

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the central train station and not far from the Zurich Canal. The hotel's facilities and hygiene are also acceptable, but the attitude of the service staff is very average.

Very clean hostel. Modern facilities and friendly staff. I borrowed and adoptor too from the reception. Few steps away from Interlaken OST, pier, bus station and big COOP supermarket. You can choose what you want to eat have options. The view from the toilet and the lounge is the torqoise river. Very relaxing from 2nd floor. If you want to explore to the mountains and cities like Luzern, Bern or you go Zermatt or you want to explore the entire Bernese Oberland you can stay here. Transport is already at your doorstep. No worries arriving late at night 😊

Even though it may not be directly at Interlaken OST (about a 10 mins walk/2 bus stops away), I still enjoyed my stay here as the amenities were great and it’s very clean! For such a price, it’s definitely worth the stay.

The room is nice and has a balcony. If you travel to the Interlaken area, there are several beautiful towns with Interlaken as the center, plus the Jungfrau scenic area. It is more suitable to stay for 2 nights and drive by yourself. I can recommend the village where this hotel is located. There are several farmhouses in the village (called farmhouses in China), and this one is better. It is convenient to drive to major attractions and is 5 minutes' drive from the center of Interlaken. Food and accommodation are all OK. The only thing is that there is no elevator, so be careful with heavy boxes.

I booked 4 rooms. They were very spacious and clean. This is a hotel renovated from an old, historic house. The floors were a bit slanted, and the old-fashioned elevator added a lot of charm. The rooms were comfortable, and there was free parking available. They offered complimentary afternoon tea and pastries daily from 2 PM to 6 PM. The breakfast was truly amazing—especially exquisite and plentiful, with options like rice, curry, eggs, and a mix of Chinese and Western dishes. The location was very convenient, extremely close to the city center.

Stayed at twin deluxe room which is newly renovated and on the higher floors. Chose this specific twin room because of its size. Pros: 1. Hotel staff were friendly both at reception and breakfast 2. Rooms were fairly large and modern, views were incredibly (ask for mountain facing room) 3. They will give you an Interlaken guest card. 4. Location is about 7-10 mins walk from Interlaken West Station and surrounded by high-end shops. 5. There's free self-service coffee and tea making area at one of the floors and its helpful if you have a jug/bottle to fill cold/hot water Cons: 1. Same breakfast everyday and it lacked variety 2. No kettle nor cups to make hot drinks (notice this is the case with hotels in Switzerland 3. TV channels were mostly in German language

All hotel staff that I met were extremely friendly. Room was clean, windows opened to give fresh and cool air to the room which is necessary due to the lack of air conditioning. Fan is available to circulate the air. Bed is comfortable, and there’s a shoe horn in the room! Water pressure is average and TV is not smart, but who needs a TV when you’ve got such a great view from the balcony

Hotel is dated and with very basic amenities. Read some reviews that room slippers are not provided so I bought my own. Beds & pillows are comfy and blankets are warm enough to keep us warm. Stayed 3 nights. Breakfast is awesome with quite a decent spread. There's a bus-stop right in front of the hotel, where you can take to go to Interlaken Ost. Shout-out to the reception, Ms Linh, who was super helpful in assisting us with our inquiries abt transportation & sightseeing spots.

Jungfrau Hotel Annex Alpine-Inn has a great location to admire Jungfrau right at your hotel room balcony. In the week of many rainy days, I was lucky to be able to see Jungfrau at my room when I checked in. Then it rained for the following 2 days. Good that hotel provides an umbrella for each room to use on rainy days. It’s a bit walking (8-10 minutes, all flat) to the train station but I enjoyed the walking under the foothill of Jungfrau. Hotel staff were nice including the staff working in the breakfast area. Breakfast room is clean and foods are decent. Wilderswill is just 10-min train or bus ride from Interlaken. With a choice of train or busses, you won’t need to wait too long to get to the destination of your choice.
