Although the accommodation fee is a bit high, the hotel's proximity to Alishan Station is very convenient for exploring after check-in. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, as it was very clean. The room I stayed in was spacious, had a bathtub, and the water temperature and pressure were excellent. Breakfast is included, but it's served at an off-site partner restaurant near Alishan Station, shared by several hotels. The quality of the food is decent. With a check-out time of 11 AM, you can leave your luggage in the room, take a stroll around Shuiping, and still make it back in time for the 11:50 AM mini train to Chiayi.

Great 1 day stay at Alishan Hotel, with dinner and breakfast covered. The dinner spread was fabulous. The shuttle service to visitor centre was very frequent and Hotel staff were very helpful and obliging. It's a good location and starting point fior the forest trail walk. Starbucks as lobby lounge was a bonus.

This hotel is super convenient, just about a 2-minute walk from Zhaoping Station! They even have a free shuttle bus to Alishan Station every hour during peak morning and evening times. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and even have a balcony with a great view – so relaxing!

The hotel room was clean and seemed to have been recently renovated. They even had an electric blanket! The bathroom was very spacious and spotless. There's only one elevator, but it was sufficient and we didn't have to wait long. I'm not sure if the staff speak English, as we were able to communicate in Chinese. However, they weren't particularly friendly or smiling much, but it wasn't a major issue for us. The price was quite high for the room quality, but then again, you're paying for the location within the national park.

The hotel room was very clean and new. The location is also great, very close to Alishan Railway Station. However, when booking, you need to be careful about the price. When we booked in advance, it showed only one room left, and we booked it at a very high price. But a few days later, many rooms became available again at extremely low prices, a difference of over a thousand dollars. It seems they intentionally held back rooms to inflate the price, so be cautious about the price when booking.

The hotel is in a tourist community next to the visitor center, just a few minutes down the steps. It's also close to the amusement park shuttle bus terminal, the shopping street, and the small train station – the location is absolutely fantastic. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom had a Japanese-style tub. The decor and facilities felt quite old-fashioned. What was unacceptable was that the WiFi on the fifth floor didn't work at all. I could only pick up a signal from the second or third floor, but even then, I couldn't get online. I informed the front desk, but the person who came couldn't fix it either.

This place is overpriced for what it is. It was the most expensive accommodation we have stayed in Taiwan, and by far the worst. Of course you are paying for stunning location in the national park, and apparently all Alishan accommodation is similarly overpriced/run down, however there is no need to charge so much (other than to boost their profits of course). The hotel is dated and run down. Room was dark and dinghy. The bed was so uncomfortable - rock solid mattress and awful pillow. The bathroom was not clean, but hot water was great. WiFi was mostly good. The breakfast looked and smelt so bad they we couldn’t even try it. But we had an amazing time in Alishan and the hotel was perfectly located to base ourselves and get some rest, so don’t expect luxury, but appreciate the convenience.

The guesthouse was great overall. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and even reminded us that nearby shops close early so we could go for dinner earlier. The room was clean and free of smoke. In the morning, you can go to the 6th-floor observation deck to watch the sunrise – the view is amazing! It's great value for money and definitely a guesthouse I'd stay at again. 👍

Our stay in the family room at Fenqihu Hotel truly exceeded expectations! The room was much more spacious than I imagined; we could spread out our luggage with plenty of room to spare, which is a huge plus for families traveling together. The beds were incredibly comfortable – I fell asleep instantly, getting that much-needed relaxation during a trip 😌. What I loved most was how clean the entire place was. There was no dampness or stuffy smell, which is quite rare and impressive for a mountain area. It was also very quiet at night, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Waking up to a full mountain view outside the window, with super fresh air, felt like an instant recharge 🌄. The staff were also very friendly and approachable, patiently helping us with any questions we had. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to the old street, making it super easy to enjoy local food and take photos. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for travelers looking to relax and conveniently explore Fenqihu. It's absolutely perfect for families, and I would definitely love to stay here again!

The hotel is surrounded by tea plantations, offering fresh air. The rooms are clean and dry. If you want to catch the sunrise, there's a small path about a 20-minute walk away. Breakfast is buffet-style. There are no small shops nearby. In the evening, you can order hot pot from the reception, which is quite good. The shower pressure is strong and the water is hot, making it very comfortable.
