Hotels near Grahadi Building, Genteng

The location was perfect for us, as we really enjoy exploring a new city on foot. There are many eateries within walking distance of the hotel, including the famous Tunjungan No. 39 restaurant, as well as major shopping malls like Tunjungan Plaza. The service provided by the staff was also excellent, from the front desk to the cleaning crew and even the security guard. We will definitely come back again.

I came to this hotel after hearing good things about it. It's an old colonial building from 1910, used to be a post office, so the ambiance is incredible. The value for money is really good too. SOGO is right across the street, and there are several shopping malls connected nearby. The only weird thing was the housekeeping. The bathmat from the day before wasn't picked up from outside the shower; it was left there, wet, and a new one was just placed beside it. Also, the $2 tip I left on the pillow wasn't taken. The tea bags in the room weren't great, full of dregs. I'd suggest changing brands, it wouldn't cost much to do so.

Arrival was well attended by concierge. Check in is disappointing. (Staff name Max) not very accommodating. Need to learn extend of service. We have 4 rooms booked in total and all located in diff floors. Request for just 1 extra bed as already paid for room with 3 adults w bf but staff insisted to charge extra for bed for it due to high occupancy. He said it’s been requested by 70 guest that is arriving? Double standard service. Even with much plea still said no. Requested for bday compliments they gave a small cake that’s hard and not moist. Pls Improve quality. No balloons or decor. For a 5 star hotel, basically not to standard. We book the shuttle service at 2pm for next day. But next day they said can’t meet the time we requested because of the large group. Terrible! Dint wsnt to complain and spoil our vacation. Bf was so so. Not the best but acceptable. Generally hotel room is large and comfortable. Only the guy staff lacks service. He’s sooo rigid and stucked up.

The overall ambiance of the hotel was very inviting and well-maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable, and provided a peaceful retreat after long days of exploring. The amenities offered were greatly appreciated and added to the convenience of our stay. We found the staff to be exceptionally courteous and always willing to assist with any requests.

MY HUSBAND AND I STAYED IN THE SUITE FOR 8 NIGHTS. AFFORDABLE HUGE ROOM WHICH IS A PLUS FOR OUR LONG STAY. WALKING DISTANCE TO THE MALL. BFAST FOOD WAS OKAY YOU HAVE YOUR CHOICE OF LOCAL FOOD AND WESTERN CHOICES. ITS A 4 STAR HOTEL, BASIC AMENITIES, NOTHING REALLY LUXURIOUS BUT DOES ITS JOB.

It's a comfortable place for a transit stay, but this time I was perhaps unlucky. I got a room where the AC wasn't cooling properly, and the TV only just turned on, with a blurry picture and a very limited channel selection.

We stay at this hotel very regularly. The location, the large room, the price – everything is absolutely good. The only thing is the breakfast could be a bit better, but then the room rate would probably go up too.

📍Location (+) Located in the city center, convenient access to many tourist spots in Surabaya. There's Indomaret next to the hotel, which makes it convenient too. Wisata Rasa, a recommend place to buy edible souvenirs (like almond crispy), is also nearby. (-) I expected very walkable distance to Tunjungan Romansa, but it is apparently further away than expected. Still walkable but will take quite some time, and only walkable at night. Walking in the day is not very feasible due to Surabaya hot weather. 🏠 Room Facilities (+) TV, desk, 3 electrical outlets, wardrobe with hangers, storage cabinet, safety box, air dryer in the bathroom, and electric kettle are available. Water gallon for refills is available outside the room. (-) The lights in the room are dim, which makes the room unsuitable for work. Toilet issue is of low quality. No fridge. Cuttlery are provided with charge. 🏨 Hotel Facilities (+) Great breakfast with various options, including local delicacies like lontong balap. There are board games, mini pool table, and foosball. PCs are available in the lobby, not sure if it works though. Can store luggage in the receptionist after check out. Toilets are available in the lobby. (-) The hotel only gives 1 access card per room, even if I book a room for 2 people. Was excited to see congklak game but apparently the seeds weren't enough. 👥 Service (+) Friendly staffs. Could ask for extra towel. Could request for specific housekeeping cleaning time.

Had a great time. The environment was good and all the fasilities provided could be enjoyed. Definitely will come again in the future. I faced some difficulties but it was handled well bt the workers.

Before I review I want to say all the staff were kind friendly and very helpful. If this review was about the staff you would have 100%. My problem is with the fabric of the hotel. It is dirty , shabby and living in the past. The first entertainment hotel in the city. Looking at it it was probably the last time it was refurbished. I feel that the staff put on a brave face and they are professional in their duties. Entering my room the sheets were grey had holes and stained. If you use an external laundry and hire your linen someone needs to change your contract!! Grey is not white. The walls are covered in hardboard and are dirty. Shower and toilet ok. Fire door did not self close. Hole in the wall where the self closer keeps hitting it. If this is a four star hotel it’s the staff who are keeping it there, a review though in my opinion would drop you to two stars at the best!! The owners need to reinvest!!
