Hotels near Sondrio Station, Milan

First, the aircon is cold even in summer (we stayed on the top floor). The room size is big for European standards. Everything else (location, cleanliness, room condition, breakfast selection, food choices nearby) I am giving it 10/10 for its money. My only comment is that a room card is not required to get into the elevator. Everything else is perfect. Highly recommended.

The location is fantastic, right next to the train and metro stations, and the airport shuttle bus terminal is just downstairs (€10 per person). It's convenient for getting to any attraction. There's air conditioning, so you can pop back to the hotel for a break when it's hot in the afternoon, grab a complimentary coffee, and then head to the food court across from the central station in the evening for some delicious food. It's truly delightful.

Location: Excellent and convenient. The hotel is just a one-minute walk from the subway exit. Popular neighborhoods are also within walking distance. Ambiance: Since it's a new hotel opening in 2026, the lobby and restaurant are very spacious with a fresh, modern design. The long-shaped room is very ample; upon entering, there's a living area and wardrobe space. To the left is a split bathroom (toilet, shower, and sink are separate), and to the right is a large bed. The facilities are brand new, and the space is well-designed. I stayed for three nights, and it offered great value for money – highly recommended!

Checking In was easy and quick. The employees are all very friendly and capable. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Furthermore the rooms are equipped with air conditioning. A real highlight is the breakfast Buffet, where you can gorge yourself on a variety of cakes and pastries. Lastly, the subway station Loreto is very easy to reach on foot. All in all, very pleasant.

The hotel is new and the service is excellent. The staff speak many languages and you can store your luggage there. I checked in early in the morning, and after a quick call to confirm, it was fine. They gave me a really spacious room. I'd definitely choose this hotel again when I return. The only strange thing was that the shower water was cold, but overall it's a very modern place.

Mercure Hotel is excellent! The room is spacious, the shower is great, and it's well-equipped. The area around the hotel feels safe, and you can walk to the supermarket.

The location is excellent, very close to Milan Central Station, just a 7-minute walk away. There are also various supermarkets nearby, including a Korean supermarket just a 5-minute walk, which is very convenient. The hotel is quiet at night. The front desk staff were very polite. The room facilities are also very sufficient, and staff come to clean the room and change towels daily. The shower pressure in the bathroom is excellent.

The only criticism I have is of the odd layout of the buffet breakfast - it’s in 3 separate places. No one explained to us how it worked and that the main part of the buffet was in a separate room which we didn’t discover until our final breakfast

Being an Ibis hotel, part of the Accor group, the rooms are a bit small and the facilities show their age slightly, but for a budget hotel, it offers good value for money. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the tram is close, but the subway station is a bit inconveniently located. I booked this hotel because the 4-star hotels near Milano Centrale Station were too expensive on my travel dates, and it's pretty much what I expected. It's decent for a value-for-money hotel. Note that parking is limited as the lot is small, and it costs 20 Euros per day. Breakfast is a mediocre, not-so-great continental buffet.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay here. The location is excellent, and for the price I paid, it was an incredible bargain. The hostel is very well maintained, with comfortable and spacious rooms, already-made beds, complimentary towels, and convenient charging points at each bed. We also had lockers in the cabins. One thing that really stood out was the complimentary breakfast, including free croissants. I have stayed in many hostels and rarely come across such thoughtful extras. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Ms. Valeria was particularly helpful during the check-in process, and another gentleman wearing glasses was also very kind and attentive. They were always willing to assist and made me feel genuinely welcome. The facilities are excellent as well. The bathrooms are clean and equipped with hairdryers, and there are washing and drying facilities available for a very reasonable fee. Guests can also store their luggage for just €2 per day, which is by far the cheapest luggage storage option I have found in Milan. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again. The combination of great service, fantastic location, excellent facilities, and outstanding value for money makes this place an easy recommendation. I look forward to coming back in the future.
