Amazing
GGuest UserIt is a wonderful hotel, a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature, onsens and exclusively excellent Kaisai dinner. You can book two private onsens per 1 day (e.g. one in the evening and 1 in the morning) and also 1 private stay in sauna. You can spend time together with your couple. Public onsens are almost free all the time, so you can enjoy them either. We really loved our stay, the hospitality of all staff and free transfer provided. I have looked through many hotels, but this was the best with quality price ratio.

JJemmyYaoThe hotel's shower facilities were excellent. Its location is right next to Nanjing Street, an 8-minute walk from Kobe's waterfront, and a 5-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, which offers access to various transportation options. However, the breakfast was quite mediocre, both in terms of variety and quality.

Sshally731Due to a late flight, I didn't arrive at the hotel until after midnight. The room wasn't huge, but the bed was big, and the bathroom had a great dry/wet separation. For Japan, this place is excellent! The hotel's location is also fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from Sannomiya Station, and Don Quijote is right across the street. The breakfast was a buffet; while not a massive selection, everything was exquisite. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

EEdmund KeeHad my first night stay here at Sannomiya Kobe, took an airport limo bus to Sannomiya station and it was just a 10min stroll to the hotel, my previous japan experience was from AirBNB, but this hotel stay at Sotetsu Sannomiya changed my perception! Although I stayed for only 1 night in there, I managed to explore nearby places and even tried Kobe Beef for the first time ever! Hotel is super clean, you can refill the toiletries as and when needed, they are just right at level 1. Check in was seemless, check out as well! There is also a laundry service, microwave and vending machine at level 2. Bedding and cleaniness is top notch! Will highly recommend this hotel to many other travellers!

GGuest UserOverall, our stay was good, especially the location. The room is a bit old but still well maintained. However, we were not happy with one aspect of the service. A staff member (possibly a manager or senior from the F&B team) was not very professional and came across as quite rude. He physically blocked us from entering the breakfast area without listening to our explanation. We clearly mentioned that our friend was already inside and had a table, and we were just trying to confirm the table number. However, he insisted we go to Level 1 for breakfast and did not allow us to explain further. We had to go back and forth between the lift, trying to contact our friend, which was quite frustrating. Only after we showed him a photo did he finally allow us to enter. What surprised us most was that the restaurant was actually quite empty, with many available tables. We don’t understand why we were told it was full and asked to go elsewhere. We hope the hotel can improve staff communication and professionalism to avoid similar situations in the future.

AAnonymous UserNot sure what has happened to Japan standard in the past couple of years but had called the hotel to confirm that linens are scent free (standard in Japan before) and was told yes. Unfortunately they are not, this new laundry detergent that is slowly spreading throughout Japan is absolutely horrible causing all sorts of allergic reactions (not only to me.) I start having rashes, compromised breathing, and inflammation issues. If it’s the same detergent used back in America, then it might be eco-friendly, but definitely not human friendly. I truly hope that Japan goes back to the way it was before the introduction of some western products filled with harmful chemicals to humans. It is not because you don’t react to it that it is not harming your body, it’s only a question of time and when it does, you won’t know why and there is no turning back. Take it from an Asian American born who was the biggest fan of American marketed products. We do have good products like ECOLAB, which is both, sustainable for the environment without compromising human health. Maybe laundry company should look into that company or simply return to Japanese products before. Good thing thing their pyjama are still scent free so I had to wrap the bed and cover with their pyjama to get through the night.

BBaici wawaThe room was clean, and the water pressure on the higher floors was consistently strong. They have laundry machines, a microwave, and a vending machine on the first floor, along with water dispensers on every floor. On the first floor, you can also find coffee, tea bags, toiletries, and bathrobes. This is my go-to place whenever I visit Kobe; it offers excellent value for money.

GGuest UserStayed on a refurbished executive floor, but the 'refurbishment' was really just a change in decor; the crucial hardware facilities, like the bathroom, were still old. The breakfast was absolutely delightful – a great variety and quite refined. I especially loved the sea bream chazuke and the hand rolls. The curry rice was also good, and they even had ice cream at breakfast, which made the kids incredibly happy!

GGuest UserHotel service was good. Dinner and breakfast was provided as part of the stay. Food was good for the stay since there are not much options for food at Arima. Most shops are closed by afternoon. Though the hotel is old but it’s renovated (except for the old wooden cupboard) which made the stay more pleasant. Onsen is indoor and small so will need to go at hours with lesser people.

Sshugi62This was my first time staying at a hotel near Sannomiya Station in Kobe. The hotel was well-equipped and offered great value for money. The only downside was the construction outside the entrance, which made getting around inconvenient and required a bit of a detour. However, shopping and dining options were very convenient nearby, and there was a convenience store downstairs.
