DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane 🇱🇦 | A Stay I’d Happily Come Back To I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, one of the newer Hilton properties in Laos, and overall, I had a really great experience. 📍 Location The hotel is conveniently located and getting there from the Morning Market area was easy — I simply took a tuk-tuk. It’s also not far from the Mekong River, and some rooms even offer views towards the river. In case you book direct by Hilton website. 🏨 Check-in & Diamond Experience As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was able to check in at the Executive Lounge, which made the arrival experience even more comfortable. I originally booked an entry-level room and was very happy to receive an upgrade to a suite during this stay. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. It was definitely a nice surprise and made the stay even more enjoyable. 💛 Service What impressed me most was the service. The staff across the hotel were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Ling at the Front Desk, who took great care of me, and Chit at the breakfast restaurant, whose attentive service made the morning even better. Both of them really stood out during my stay. 🍳 Breakfast Breakfast was another highlight. The selection was extensive, with plenty of choices, but I especially enjoyed the local Lao dishes. There were Lao-style sausages and fried fish served with jeow dipping sauce and fresh vegetables — simple, local, and absolutely delicious. I always appreciate hotels that include local flavors at breakfast rather than offering only standard international dishes. 🛏️ Overall The room was excellent, the location was convenient, breakfast was impressive, and most importantly, the service throughout the hotel was consistently warm and attentive. It was one of those stays where everything simply came together nicely. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. I stayed in room 504, and the air conditioning was noisy all night. Everything else was pretty good, though. The night market is just a block away from the hotel and is very lively, with local young people eating late-night snacks and drinking. It's less than a 20-minute walk to the Central Bus Station, which is quite convenient. Next door to the hotel is a restaurant called 'Piaopiao Fan' that accepts UnionPay cards with no extra fees. The hotel also has a laundry room with two washing machines and one dryer. You'll need to buy detergent from the front desk for 10,000 kip, and one packet is enough for at least three washes (I didn't buy it myself).

The front desk staff greeted us with a smile, which was a definite plus. However, the room was very small, and the bathroom was shared. There was no air conditioning, only a fan, so it was too hot to sleep comfortably. They did offer free breakfast with toast/porridge and coffee.

The accommodation is located in the tourist area. The location is super convenient, and the staff are incredibly kind. The building is quite new, and I love that the room, toilet, shower, and sink are all separated. It would be perfect if it weren't for the slight herbal medicine smell and the meager breakfast.

Very good location near the city center. The room was correct, enough for a short stay. Just be aware that if you have a luggage, you'll need to carry it up eventually to the 4th floor on very sharp stairs...

A cheap stay, good for our one night only. Room had no natural light and the lights flickered. Bathrooms were fine and mostly tidy, shared with everyone else. No shampoo or body wash in shower and no towel provided. Breakfast was fine, bread and some potatoes with egg. Super central to the night market and close enough to the Mekong. Good stay for the one night only.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was great. The staff were also friendly, and there were many Korean restaurants nearby which was even better. There's also a supermarket about 100m away, perfect for buying souvenirs.

The room was average, and so was the service. The environment and hygiene were decent, but the efficiency was poor. They missed my scheduled airport pick-up, and I couldn't get through to them on the phone!

The experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, and the cleanliness is excellent, with no odors in the bathroom. The bed was just the right firmness, ensuring a very restful sleep. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. The location is perfect, with convenient access to dining and transportation, being close to business districts and transport hubs, making it easy to get around for business or leisure. The room was spacious and bright, housekeeping was prompt, and the service was thoughtful and meticulous. The soundproofing was also good. Excellent value for money, highly recommended! I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip!

Excellent! The room was very spacious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Its central location is super convenient. The breakfast was a highlight! Absolutely fantastic value for money. The hotel also offers parking, so we'll definitely aim to drive here next time for another stay!
