Hotels near Rainforest Park Cebu, Mandaue City

The hotel isn't far from the airport, about a 20-minute drive. The environment is nice, and there are two security checks. The pool bar on the top floor offers great views both day and night. The room is quite spacious and has a view of the harbor.

It’s one of my favorite hotels in Cebu, and I’ve stayed here several times. This time I arrived about an hour before check-in, and the front desk staff kindly prepared a room right away. But, the first room faced another building, so I requested a different one. I was eventually moved to a city-view room. If that room was already available, I wish I had been assigned it from the beginning, as changing rooms with heavy luggage was inconvenient😥 Other than that, the stay was comfortable. One thing to note is that only bath towels are provided, with no face towels.

The family room, with two double beds and a small kitchenette space (with a table and chairs but no cooking equipment), perfectly met the needs of two adults and two children. The room rate included free breakfast and airport transfers, which was excellent value for money. It's a great option for an overnight stay on your first or last day when visiting Cebu, as it's about a 20-minute drive from the airport. The second floor connects directly to SM Jmall, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel looks nice, and the staff are generally friendly and smiling, especially the doorman and the guard who were always ready to help get a cab. Its location is convenient, just about 6 minutes away from SM J Mall. However, there were a few disappointments. The photos showed amenities like slippers, but there were none during our stay. The hot shower also wasn’t hot. I originally booked 5 nights for a Superior Executive Room through Trip.com at ₱1,954 per night. Later, I decided to extend for 1 more night, but the front desk charged me over ₱2,900 for that additional night. When I asked why, mentioning that the Trip.com rate was still ₱1,954, the staff advised me to book directly with them instead of using the app, saying it would be “easier.” Unfortunately, that advice wasn’t helpful, and I ended up paying the higher rate. The price difference between ₱1,954 and ₱2,900 for the same room left me very disappointed, and I don’t see myself booking this hotel again.

I would like to commend all the staffs from the hotel’s breakfast buffet area. They were so accommodating and ready to assist without a need to be prompted. Was just a bit disappointed at time of check-in when asked if early check-in was possible. Not because that the room wasn’t ready yet but it’s because of the Receptionist’s (Rhea-wearing eye glasses) approach and responses to the said request. Nevertheless, had a good stay and might be coming back to stay.

We had to find a hofel that is close and affordable near the venue event and found Kojo in trip. Place feels comfy and cozy. Just a walk from City Timesquarr and Parkmall. Will definitely book in Kojo Hotel again!

We had a great experience. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and We really enjoyed the food. Overall, it was a pleasant visit and I would recommend it.

I have few things to say about my stay in RedDoorz New Era. First, I made a request for an early check in 4 or 5 weeks ago because my flight was scheduled to arrive at 8am. I reached at the hotel at around 9am but the reception asked me for an additional charge of 500 pesos which for me was such a big amount considering the cost of the overnight stay. I booked the hotel at US$14 (around 800 pesos a night) plus 500 pesos (around $9). The older receptionist just needs a lot of money. Second, the red pillows were very smelly. I guess they never wash or change it's pillow case cause the sweat of previous guests still stuck in them. Third, The hotel doesn't have slippers so you should bring your own. There's no hooks or anything that you can hang towel or something inside the bathroom as well. And lastly, the housekeeper keeps on shouting and knocking... no, it's banging the door in the morning at around 10:10am just to ask if I am extending my stay. It was very distracting and unethical. If a guest has plans to extend, I guess he/she is responsible enough to inform the receptionist, otherwise, it is understood that he/she is leaving. There's one thing though that this hotel is fair enough during my stay, the am shift guard was quite helpful. Overall assessment is not recommended. You can find a much better hotels (budget hotels) around Cebu city and mandaue.

We had a wonderful family stay at this guest house. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we were really impressed by how neat and hygienic the place was. The location is a big plus – shops, restaurants, schools are just a few minutes’ walk away. For the space and quality on offer, it’s excellent value – far cheaper than getting several hotel rooms for our group. The staff were warm and quick to response to any queries, which made both check-in and check-out easy. Without hesitation, we’d recommend this spot to other families or to anyone looking for a comfortable, self-contained home base.
