I was pleasantly surprised to find two cute elephants on the bed after upgrading to a king-size room. However, when I pulled back the sheets, I discovered three strands of hair that weren't mine. I went to the front desk to report the issue and asked for a change of sheets. A local male staff member flicked the three hairs onto the floor and told me that the sheets were clean and new, implying they were fine to sleep on. It seemed like he had no intention of changing them. So, I insisted on completely new ones. He then quickly brought a new set of sheets and duvet covers and changed them in about a minute. I gave him 20 baht as a tip for his trouble. Later, the front desk called to apologize and said they'd send a drink voucher, but it never arrived. The mini-fridge was a bit old and run-down, and it was quite disgusting inside, like a junk fridge no one would even buy for 50 baht as scrap. When I checked out, I had basically left everything 80% as I found it, as I hadn't used any of the other amenities.

I initially booked my stay for a few days only, but decided to extend for another week. The staff were very nice and allowed me to stay in the same room throughout my time in Bangkok. Now this is really a plus point as some hotels will require you ”check out”, then check in later again which can be a major inconvience. The gym was surpringsly well equipped compared to some higher end hotels (another plus point). They also have self service laundry right beside the gym, or you can opt for the laundromat service right next door to the hotel's lobby (another plus point). Breakfast selection was decent, they do offer a variation throughout the week. Optionally there are also a few coffee joints and 7-11 within the premises. Transport wise, I found out that the back gate of the hotel leads to the pier which you can take the river/canal taxi! That is an absolute winner if the traffic gets really bad. Only 10-12minutes to Central Embassy and the usual downtown areas. Just use google maps to get you along.

The neighborhood is awful, smells like fish. I think even the taxi driver was scared when he arrived. This was my first time in a hostel. The bedding was clean, the air inside was fresh, and the staff were polite. I asked for an early check-in, and they accommodated me without extra charge because I really needed to sleep. It was comfortable to sleep, and there were no drunkards or unruly people, just young and decent guests. A bed for one night cost 500 rubles, which is perfect just for sleeping.

The rooms are located in the Huai Khwang area, close to Huai Khwang MRT station. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. This hotel is very grand and luxurious, and the staff are warm and polite. It's my first choice every time I come to Bangkok for a business trip.

The hotel's location next to an amusement park makes it a great choice for families with children. There's a shuttle bus and boat service every hour that goes to Silom for free, and you can get to Asok Station with a transfer for 12-14 baht. The breakfast was average compared to other hotels of a similar standard, and it was decent enough. While the overall facilities are very old and dated, I'd still recommend this place if you're looking for a room with a bathtub, spacious accommodations, a beautiful view of the Chao Phraya River, and good value for money. However, the most important thing is that the service attitude of those who help with check-in and check-out at the hotel is only one star. They smiled brightly and seemed friendly, but I'm not sure if they were good at their job. As someone sensitive to noise, I requested a quiet room when booking. Instead, I was assigned to a floor undergoing renovation. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I saw a giant curtain, and it felt like I was stuck on a construction site. The most annoying part was that when I lay down in the room to rest, I couldn't relax properly due to the constant thumping noises from the renovation. I came here to relax comfortably, but I wondered why I was at a place that felt like a construction site. It was completely different from what I expected from a 4-star or 5-star level of service. However, I want to express my gratitude to the staff working at the concierge. My tour was almost canceled due to a sudden downpour, and it wouldn't have been refundable. Thanks to the help of the concierge staff, my tour went ahead as planned. I had a great time because of them, and I gave them 10 dollars as a thank-you. That's how a hotelier should work. I sincerely appreciate it.

1. I stayed for one night because I was attending a concert at Idea Live, which is near the hotel. I was really grateful that the front desk allowed me to check in before 11 AM that day. 2. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that the showerhead was quite old and didn't work very well; the water pressure was too strong, but the spray area was very small. 3. Getting to the hotel from BKK (Suvarnabhumi Airport) involved taking the Airport Rail Link for a few stops and then walking for about 15 minutes. However, that walk isn't the easiest, so it might be challenging if you have large luggage.

The hotel has aged badly, the fittings and the interior is dated, had to get things replaced and repaired to continue to stay on, also extremely bad noise insulation.  The staff are excellent, no complaints changed and did everything in their power to make the stay comfortable. The hotel is not up to the holiday inn standard I am used to. Just look at the TV model, even the TV channels were not working without snow.

The night before check-in, I carefully read the negative reviews on Ctrip, which made me lose confidence in this hotel. I contacted Ctrip customer service in the middle of the night to try and cancel, but since it was past the cancellation time, we ended up staying there anyway… We had four adults and two children, so we booked a connecting quad room and a twin room. 1. **Hygiene:** The rooms were very clean. It felt comfortable to walk barefoot on the floor, and the bathroom was also very clean with a good wet/dry separation. 2. **Breakfast:** We had the power breakfast every day, and it was delicious and well-balanced. 3. **Service:** I didn't feel any discrimination; both the male and female customer service staff were very polite. 4. **Shuttle:** The hotel's regular schedule is a shuttle every half hour to the alley entrance, but during our two-day stay, we were able to leave whenever we wanted. 5. **Room Type:** For two adults and two children in Bangkok, there aren't many family room options. Many family rooms put all four people in one room, which can be disruptive when adults and children have different schedules. If you book two separate standard rooms, there's no way to look out for each other. So, connecting rooms are our favorite room type when choosing a hotel. 6. **Location:** This is indeed a drawback. Although the Sukhumvit area is great, the hotel is located deep inside an alley, which takes away the fun of being able to just step out and explore anytime… 7. **Pool and Gym:** The pool isn't big, but we were just transiting through Bangkok to Phuket, so we weren't planning on swimming at a city hotel anyway. The gym is also really small; it gets very crowded with just three or four people. However, they thoughtfully provide small towels for wiping sweat in the gym.

I stayed at Kingston Suites between May 15 and May 18, 2026. Arriving early morning on the 15th, they permitted an early check-in at a cost of 1000 baht extra for which i was grateful after travelling for 30 hours. The executive suite room was large, clean and included basic furniture, a microwave, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. The breakfast was a mix of Western and Indian dishes. I thought it was just okay as the main entrees were kind of bland and the selection was limited. Most of the staff were courteous. The location was quite good, only a 10-12 minute walk to Terminal 21 and a couple of BTS stations. I would likely stay again though there are numerous alternatives at a similar price point so it would likely boil down to who offers the best deal.
