Romantic Hotels in Dalian

The overall stay exceeded our expectations! The environment was quiet and elegant, and the garden-style hot spring area was meticulously maintained. The hot spring water was natural and genuine, warm and soothing. After a soak, I felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue from my journey vanished. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the private hot spring tub offered great privacy, which my child absolutely loved. The staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive and thoughtful service. The facilities were comprehensive. This place is perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

The hotel's exterior is magnificent, like a castle. I booked a sea view room, and the ocean view from the window was beautiful. Even though it's by the sea, the room was surprisingly dry; my swimsuit dried completely within a day. I was a bit anxious after reading reviews about long queues for breakfast, but when I got there, I found that before 8 AM, there's usually no queue. Plus, staff members directly seat you and place a reserved sign, which is a nice touch. In some hotels, even if there's no queue when it's busy, not finding a seat and having to wander around with your plate is even more awkward. Now for the good parts, there are two downsides I hope the hotel can improve. First, the hotel's Chinese restaurant is really expensive, and there's a service charge, but the taste and service were truly underwhelming. I had originally planned to just eat at the hotel every day, but after one meal, I realized it didn't even meet expectations for taste or value for money – it failed on all three counts. Secondly, for a hotel at this price point, charging for a can of Coke and a bottle of juice in the mini-fridge seems unnecessary. Many five-star hotels even offer a full selection of expensive drinks for free, along with complimentary fruit and snacks, but here they charge extra, which comes across as a bit petty.

The environment and service were top-notch, making for a fantastic stay. The best part was that we arrived at 11 am because our room wasn't available yet, so we were just looking around the neighborhood. The receptionist called to let us know we could check into another room and even upgraded our room for free! The service was incredibly thoughtful. This will definitely be our first choice for any future trip to Dalian – absolutely amazing!

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

Honestly, the rooms themselves were really great. Both rooms had windows directly facing the sea, and each was beautifully decorated. The living room even had a ball pit and a climbing/jumping area for kids, which our child loved. There was also a circular nook where you could sit and watch projections. However, one of the rooms started to smell really bad in the early hours of the morning, like a foul odor. Opening the window didn't help at all. Regrettably, the whole guesthouse had a dilapidated feel to it. Right from the moment we got out of the car, we noticed the exterior was a bit grubby, and the front desk/lobby felt rather cheap. When we went to check out the beach from the lobby, we found the stairs and terrace looked like they hadn't been maintained in years. The terrace was very basic, with many cigarette butts overflowing in the ashtrays and not cleaned. The spiral staircase I'd seen in photos online for Instagram was also broken and dirty. The beach itself was rocky, a bit smelly, and had some trash. There was also a layer of scum on the sea, like the kind you see when blanching ribs. There were some past campers still around, but honestly, I don't understand how anyone would have the courage to go in the water. In summary, the room design and the sea view from the windows were genuinely good, but there was almost no external amenities or upkeep. It felt neglected and unmaintained, which is a real shame.

This stay was absolutely perfect! I initially booked for one night just to try it out, but after that first night, I extended my stay for three more. The hotel's location is excellent, right in Dalian's city center with convenient transportation. It's about a 10-minute walk from the train station following the navigation, but it's not directly facing the station square, so the environment is quite pleasant. The hotel is surrounded by a vibrant commercial district and dining options, with many large shopping malls. Tianjin Street is just a few dozen meters away, and the Lantern Festival celebrations there were so lively during the Chinese New Year. Zhongshan Square is less than a 10-minute walk away. On my first night, I couldn't wait to see Zhongshan Square lit up at dusk – it was freezing in winter, so there weren't many people on the large square, but the light show was incredibly beautiful. Russian Street is also within walking distance. For Dongguan Street and Xi'an Street, they're not far from the hotel, and you can easily get there by taking an old tram. In short, it's convenient to get anywhere from here. Hotel service quality: The main reception is on the 16th floor. The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and very friendly. Check-in was quick, and they even upgraded my room – wonderful! I especially want to thank Mr. Wang Tao; he answered all my questions with great patience. It was quite a coincidence that he was the one who assisted me with both check-in and check-out. The hotel is bright and clean, very tasteful, and fully equipped with comfortable bedding and excellent hygiene. The dining options are diverse. I particularly recommend their free laundry service. This hotel is definitely worth recommending to friends visiting Dalian.

Our home for three days and two nights in Dalian! This is a top-notch hotel in the Qingniwa business district with an excellent location. It's super convenient to get around with metro and bus stops nearby, connecting easily to most of Dalian's attractions. It's close to Zhongshan Square, and you can take a direct bus to the beach. Being right next to Dalian Station makes it a fantastic choice. The hotel service was also superb; they readily accommodated our requests and even thoughtfully prepared millet porridge for us in the evening. Our Dalian trip experience was wonderful! 👍

Booked through Trip.com. We paid an extra 100 RMB per day, totaling 1780 RMB for a two-night, three-day stay, which included two tickets. This pricing doesn't seem logical, as our family room package didn't include tickets for the kids, so we had to buy two children's tickets separately. Discoveryland isn't great value for money; if you're afraid of heights, there's not much to do. When we checked in, we weren't told that we needed to enter the park before 8:30 PM for the evening light show. We specifically went to see it, only to be told we couldn't enter. The next day was a Monday, and there were no activities. So, when booking, try to avoid Mondays. The hotel failed to provide this information beforehand. On our second morning, the bathroom drain smelled strongly, and I'm not sure if it was because the bedroom door was closed. The hotel front desk staff were great; they were always helpful when we called. D调 Restaurant offered excellent service. They even processed the razor clams we caught during our beach activities for a fee, turning our catch into a delicious meal – a unique experience! The BBQ, however, wasn't good. The only redeemable dish was the oysters we ordered, which tasted best after adding our own garlic paste. I forgot to take a picture.

: This Haishan Island is great. As a seaside person in Dalian, my first feeling when I came here was like Hawaii in the United States. From the shuttle bus pick-up after getting off the boat, the travel is convenient, and the service staff arranges everything for you, which is very troublesome. The hotel is like an island in an island, with mountains and sea. It is immersive and breaks the traditional beach B&B. It is very fresh and natural here, very quiet and comfortable. There are many kinds of rooms, each with its own merits. Couples who like the Wizard of Oz can choose a mountain view cabin room, which has a feeling of Tao Yuanming's seclusion. If you want to watch the sunrise and sunset, you can choose a sea view room. You can also drink water on the balcony, which is very romantic. There is no smoky noise here. I took a stroll, sailing ⛵, snowboarding, cs, table tennis, basketball, karaoke, and if I want to wash seaweed, I go downstairs. If I am tired of playing, there is a special place upstairs to drink tea and coffee, which is also very interesting. The boss and team are very comfortable. You just come and leave the rest to the hotel.

The room was quite spacious, and the surroundings were relatively quiet. The sea view room offered a beautiful vista, with trees, green spaces, yachts, buildings, and a cross-sea bridge, making it a more dynamic and interesting sea view than just the horizon. Compared to the Grand Hyatt, it offers better value for money. However, some details don't quite meet five-star standards, such as the lack of a swimming pool. On the plus side, the service attitude was excellent, and Keke from the front desk was particularly understanding and accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. If I'm ever staying near Xinghai Square again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. The sea view here is much more varied and less monotonous than a simple sea-and-sky horizon. Xinghai Park is very close by; it was fantastic to spend the morning playing on the beach there, then come back to the room for a shower, make some tea, and just relax while admiring the sea view.
