"The hotel seems the new and room is spotless. I liked the bed and duvet, they are super comfy for sleeping. They also had a smart toilet which is a plus. Across the hotel is a local eatery with delicious food. Popular restaurants and local snacks are also along the street where the hotel is located. I think the only thing missing is a personal fridge to store your drinks but other than that, everything else is perfect."

The property offered excellent amenities, including laundry facilities, a gym, and a pool, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. Its location was outstanding — only steps away from the metro, providing easy access to historical landmarks and beautiful parks throughout the city. The integration with translation apps and international networks further enhanced the ease of navigating Shanghai. Overall, a bearable stay that I would highly recommend."

"Walking distance to subway, hotel to Huangpu area (walking street) only takes 30 minutes. To WaiThan only 35 minutes. Overall the hotel location are very good which no need to carry luggage to walk long distance."

"The first room we were given was on the 6th floor, it was very run down and the the bed was rock hard. (We can normally sleep anywhere but this was extremely bad). We stayed for 2 nights before asking to move rooms. We upgraded for the remaining 3 nights for 50yuan per night and were moved to the 7th floor. The bed was much more comfortable. The location was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful, it’s just a shame we were charged more to upgrade the room because the bed wasn’t comfortable. This should be provided to every room. Wouldn’t stay again for this reason"

"The location is perfect: 5 minutes to the Bund by walk, 5 minutes to Nanjing Street. There are many restaurants, shops and everything you need around. It is also convenient to get to any part of the city from here. The hotel is also quiet despite the fact that this is the city center, where there are many tourists. Wi-Fi is fast. Breakfast is a bag with buns, milk, eggs - I have never eaten it, I can not rate it. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired: it all starts with the fact that the entrance to the hotel is dirty, the elevator is dirty, the entire floor in the corridors of the hotel is in garbage and dirt. The room itself is more or less clean, but everything is still dusty in the corners and you can feel that everything is not well maintained. But I will note that the room was cleaned every day: they changed the towels and tidied up the sink, shower and toilet. But I did not notice that they cleaned the floor or changed the bed linen during the week of my stay. There are mice in the hotel: I left a bag with breakfast in the room and 2 times they gnawed through the bag and ate the eggs and buns. It is obvious that the rooms are old: the window does not close completely and wobbles, the shower head falls off the wall, some light bulbs do not work. If you don't plan to stay at the hotel all the time and just come to sleep, it's fine, but overall I don't recommend it."

"Overall the lane house is decent set within a lively Shanghai Lane House experience. We lived in 2 for 2 months when we first moved to Shanghai. This was our return trip to revisit our home of 4 yrs. The initial photos for Guisu Homestay with the charming window view doesn’t match the initial sell, but the detailed photos of the actual space does. However it’s smaller than it looks, as the top loft and kitchen counts within the measurement. So if you’re a family of 4 then this is perfect since the middle room will give you space to sit. But if you are 5 with the sofa permanently done up as a bed then it’s tight. All was good except the the shower doors were a little run down and shower was gunky and could use a little redo. All in all a good experience. The host was responsive to our needs but strict on the 12noon checkout. The neighborhood and overall location is unbeatable. Close to great food and served as our center base to revisit the French Concession from Jing An. Definitely a good place if this is your first time in Shanghai."

"Is a short walk of about 5 minutes to the nearest Metro which call Tian Tong station. At this station, is a direct station to Hongqiao Railway as well as the Hongqiao Airport. And only 1 stop to the famous Nanking Road East. Easy to find the place and lots of eateries and shopping just around the corner. The room we chose was exactly the same as what they offered in Trip.com. Check in and out is hassle free and staff are very attentive and gives clear instruction. Will stay there again if we are back in Shanghai."

"Liked this place! The location is super convenient — just about 300 meters from East Nanjing Road Station. You can take Exit 1, 2, or 3, but I highly recommend Exit 2 since it has escalators both up and down, and you pop up right inside the Hengji Celebrity Shopping Center, which makes it super easy, especially if you're carrying bags. The walk from the station to the hotel is nice too — lots of local food spots along the way. There are two small streets (Tianjin Rd and Ningbo Rd) with tons of restaurants, probably around 20 in total. Good prices and great variety. At the front desk, only one staff member spoke English, but they were all really helpful and friendly. Google Translate worked fine with the rest. Big shout-out to the housekeeping team — they were amazing. The room was cleaned daily, towels changed, and water refilled — very on point. We stayed in a family room, which is a duplex (two floors). The first room we got didn’t have a window and was a bit tight — hard to open luggage — but luckily the AC wasn’t working, so we got moved to another room with a window facing the street. That room was much better — clean, bright, and spacious enough for 3–4 people comfortably, just like in the photos. The air conditioning was super cold, which was great after a long day out, and the bed and pillows were soooo soft and comfy! There was a slight cigarette smell at first, but it went away after a day or two. Blackout curtains were great. Even though our room faced the street, it wasn’t noisy at night — Beijing Rd is surprisingly quiet, especially late. There’s a Lawson right next to the hotel, open 24/7, which was super handy. Also, there are a ton of shared bikes parked right outside the entrance — every color and brand you can think of — so getting around was easy. The bus stop is close, and you can get a Didi taxi right from the front door."
