"This is my first visit to Shanghai, and I chose this hotel at random due to its convenient location, which allows easy access to the nearby park, excellent local restaurants, and People’s Square. The staff provided great service from the moment I checked in until I left the hotel. Although they didn’t speak English, they made a genuine effort to offer outstanding service, especially a gentleman who checked me in during the morning, along with a supervisor who spoke English to assist me. If I visit Shanghai again, I will stay there again for sure. For communication, you can add WeChat to chat whenever you have questions or need services. The staff responds quickly with helpful information. Regarding amenities, I absolutely love the flush toilet with its electrical features. There are mirrors and a TV that connects to the speakers provided by the hotel. As for cleanliness, I would say it’s clean enough for a comfortable stay, though it’s not quite at the level of a 5-star hotel. I stayed for 5 days, and my room was cleaned daily, with water, toiletries, and dental kits replenished, including towels. Concerning noise, if you are sensitive to it, you might want to think twice, as the rooms are not soundproof. You may hear some noise from the corridors and the gym on the 3rd floor, which can be a bit annoying, especially around 5-6 PM. However, overall, I was able to sleep deeply through the night. Early check-in is available when your room type is available for you to check-in, I got the hotel in the morning like 8-9AM staff allowed me to check-in early, so I can sleep all day long."

"Good location close to metro station. Room too small if you have more than one luggage. The toilet is attached to the wall making it very uncomfortable to sit on it and the shower (where we found some hairs,pics below) is too small either you touch the door or the wall while entering/exiting it. The bed was not properly done each day but it seemed like the cleaning lady just cover it quickly. The room is a bit hot and AC loud. Wall are very thin you can hear your neighbours. At the end of the stay they provided us some gift (pics below)."

"I chose the Suse Select Hotel after seeing the interior wall colors and family-friendly style in the pictures. The hotel used to be a Home Inn, and I was a member there before. The location is excellent, just a few hundred meters from the Bund, People's Square, and Nanjing East Road Metro Station Exit 4. Nearby bus stops are also conveniently close, especially the Route 14 bus stop, which is only about 100 meters away. Dining options are plentiful; the famous Da Hu Chun is 200 meters from the hotel, and there's a good variety of breakfast choices. A Japanese restaurant is right next door, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, though some equipment is a bit dated. I hope guests won't discover issues like a non-working exhaust fan, a light fixture that's out, or a sagging mattress edge only after checking in. Housekeeping staff should promptly identify these problems and report them to the responsible manager for timely resolution, ensuring guests have a comfortable and worry-free stay. It's best to avoid these issues causing inconvenience and wasting guests' time."

"The room was very small, but it had everything one could need. The double-glazed windows were excellent, blocking out almost all outside noise. However, the soundproofing between rooms was quite poor. Luckily, my neighbors were quiet during my stay, so it wasn't an issue. A big plus was the mattress, which was perfectly firm and made for a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast was basic – an egg, two slices of bread, and a carton of milk. But given its proximity to the Bund, there are plenty of local eateries nearby, offering a wide range of options if the hotel breakfast isn't to your liking. The church at the entrance creates a peaceful, quiet oasis amidst the bustling city. Grabbing a Starbucks and enjoying the morning sun in the church's small garden was a lovely, serene experience. Most of Shanghai's main attractions are within walking distance, making the location absolutely superb. I had two foreign guests with me, and the front desk staff handled English communication well. For this price, the quality of service was truly impressive."

"The room looks exactly like the pictures – I really love the simple yet elegant decor. Front desk agent Xiao Wang provided excellent service. All the facilities are great, and it's exceptionally clean, making for a worry-free stay. The location is convenient for transportation. The air conditioning was nice and cool. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!"

"Went on a short trip. This hotel is affordable, clean, and looks new, with a simple yet cozy design. The room is not that big, but it’s enough to have everything you need — a comfy bed, work desk, and spotless bathroom. 🚿 The toilet and shower were greatly cleaned, which really matters to me whenever I travel. 🧼 Plus, it’s conveniently not too far from Nanjing East Road, making it a good choice for both short and budget-friendly stays in the city. ✅ Clean & modern ✅ Affordable ✅ Good location ✅ Perfect for travelers"

"I stayed at Guisu Hotel in Caishouli. It is a newly fixed-up old Shanghai Shikumen house. The room was very nice and clean. The kitchen and bathroom were useful and had a washing machine. There was also a small yard. It was easy to walk to the subway station and to Huaihai Road for shopping. It is a quiet place in the busy city. If you want to try a real Shanghai Shikumen style house, staying here is much better and cheaper than a hotel. The front door has a code lock. I did everything myself from check-in to leaving. No one bothered me. I liked it a lot."

"We booked several rooms for our stay. All rooms were okay except for one which had a bit of smoke smell in the toilet (maybe someone smoked there and the smell lingered). But it wasn't that much of an issue. Location is excellent, just right across a small eatery and Nanjing road nearby. Room was small but was worth the price considering the location of the hotel. Staff friendly and accomodating. I also had a nice sleep. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked fine."

"The apartment is very clean and fully equipped. It has all the necessary appliances such as a refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine, and a kitchen for cooking — perfect for a longer stay. The location is excellent, close to the MRT station and clothing shopping areas. It’s very convenient to travel to downtown Shanghai — just one quick MRT ride away. There are also many restaurants, supermarkets, and transportation options nearby. The host is friendly and responsive. I’m very satisfied and would definitely stay here again."

"Excellent location, around a 10min walk to Nanjing East Road! There is a minimart downstairs too if you need any drinks or snacks. The view from the room was superb, and it was a very comfortable stay for 2 people! Highly appreciated the fact that there was a lot of space! Vivien, the staff who checked us in, was super friendly and responsible. She went the extra mile by sending us food recommendations and helping us with our packages from Taobao.
