"This was a last-minute find as I was driving back from the UK to Bulgaria. On arrival the receptionist was extremely welcoming and the first thing I noticed was to cleanliness of the hotel. The bedroom itself was absolutely immaculate and beautiful. All the restaurant was closed. I was recommended to a local restaurant and the food was extraordinary."

"Good service. Quiet location. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The family suite only has a refrigerator, and to get to the bathroom you have to go through one of the two bedrooms. There's no elevator. The location is remote; transportation is required to get to the historic center. Breakfast was generally good."

Republique

"I stayed at Republique for 3 nights while visiting Sibiu and it was the perfect base. The hotel is on a quiet residential street, but you can walk to the old town in about 5 minutes. Best of both worlds. The room was spacious, very clean, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. What really surprised me was the garden. I spent every morning having breakfast outside, surrounded by greenery, flowers, and complete silence. It doesn't feel like you're in the middle of a city at all. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh eggs prepared on the spot, good coffee, local products. On weekends they serve it until 11:00, which I appreciated after a late evening exploring the old town. Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Also worth mentioning: private parking on site (rare for hotels this central in Sibiu) and they also have an EV charging station which I didn't use, but good to know for a future visit. Would definitely come back!"

"5 star boutique hotel, 5 minutes walk to the center. The staff was very friendly and everything is high quality. They also offer breakfast and various other amenities. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food was tasty. Free wifi and gym. Recommended!"

Best Western Silva Hotel

"May 17th John Powell called and confirmed a room for myself and he said he talked to the manager, booking for 5 days. He called again 10 minutes before I arrived to confirm and was told it was set. I was there for a funeral. When I got there, the lady at the desk was more than pleasant and actually should be the manager, told me she couldn't find me listed. I had John call to confirm we had the right place. I was standing right there. She called the manager and he said he would take care of it when he came in. He was not a nice person. John said he talked to the manager to book it. So it would have been him. He said he checked and there was no booking and the woman that answered the phone earlier was mistaken. I said ok, well we will wait til one was available then. He said NO, we are booked up. If he was a responsible manager he would have said let me find you another room in the area. But he just brushed me off. Rude I went to another hotel, hearing what Best Western did, gave me a room immediately and discounted."
