Guest UserI specifically took time off to stay at this wellness hotel, and as soon as I walked in, the soothing scent of herbs and wood instantly calmed my frayed nerves. The overall decor is minimalist and zen-like, and the common areas are quiet and elegant. The hotel offers various wellness programs like yoga, meditation, and head therapy. The package includes free access to these activities, and there's no hard-selling involved. The soundproofing in the room is excellent, and the bedding is soft; it was completely quiet and peaceful at night. The staff spoke softly and gently, providing thoughtful and detailed service throughout my stay. Here, you don't have to rush through an itinerary; you can just unwind. All the stress from my week of work just melted away. It's truly perfect for a relaxing and restorative getaway.

Guest UserI've stayed in countless high-end hotels, but this one truly puts customer needs first. First off, the design is incredibly stylish and elegant, but given the price point, that's almost expected. As an executive room guest, what I loved most was the service at the hotel's executive lounge. The food offerings were a huge help for families with children, allowing them to grab a bite. And the food wasn't just an afterthought – the hot dishes changed daily. Kudos to the F&B director! Breakfast was also incredibly rich, and the chicken soup with rice noodles was absolutely divine. I noticed the executive chef was constantly working, so a big thumbs up to them as well. My only minor suggestion would be to offer some less oily options in the hot dish section next to the fried eggs. All in all, the food and beverage service was excellent. Housekeeping was very clean; a shout-out to the lady who even folded my pajamas. Any minor issues were quickly addressed by the duty manager, and Emily wished me well when I checked out. The overall service was seamless, which shows the hotel's training is top-notch. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back!

Anonymous UserThe apartment is great and the lady who took care of us answered promptly to our requests, so it's a great option if you want to feel like you're actual living in Kunming, instead of just being a guest in a hotel. The only minor issues is that there seem to be some stains in the ground that should be cleaned more thoroughly, and also the wok that we were offered to cook had a lot of burnt oil on the bottom, so the moment we put it on the hob it started to burn and stink. We gave up on cooking because we didn't want to have any accident or fire (incidentally, someone else triggered the fire alarm on our last night). We later asked for a small pot to boil the eggs we had bought and that small pot was great, so I think more care should be put on the cooking utensils offered to the guests. If it weren't for those small things, I'd have nothing to say but good things, so I hope this feedback can help this great hotel become perfect haha. Thanks for all your help and kindness, 阿姨!

Guest UserFive stars to the DoubleTree by Hilton Kunming Airport! From the lobby environment and room cleanliness to the breakfast and airport shuttle service, everything met a high standard, making for a very comfortable stay. I especially want to commend Cai Cai. I was quite tired upon arrival, but Cai Cai was incredibly patient, efficiently handled my check-in, thoroughly explained all hotel services, and even offered thoughtful advice regarding my flight schedule. Any questions I had were answered promptly and properly, truly demonstrating exceptional service. The hotel maintains excellent quality control, and with such outstanding staff service, it has become my go-to choice for layovers in Kunming. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Changshui Airport.

Guest UserAn established upscale chain hotel by Dianchi Lake.
Hygiene: Impeccable, every area was well-maintained.
Environment: The hotel itself is designed in a resort style with a large garden to explore. Its location is excellent, very close to Haigang Dam and Yunnan Nationalities Village.
Service: I arrived at 4 PM and didn't get my room until 5:30 PM. After checking out, I found out through Ctrip that my booking actually included a 4-hour early check-in right, which was a very poor experience. If you're driving, you also have to go to the front desk every day to scan a parking voucher; the inability to register license plates in the system is quite outdated.
Facilities: The circulation paths are too long, making it quite a trek whether you're walking or driving. This seems to be a common issue with some larger hotels. Additionally, the room type I stayed in had a balcony with a sunroom design (see my photo 3). When it rained, water would drip directly onto the glass above the room, making it feel like I was sleeping in a car.
In summary, the InterContinental Kunming is generally good. As long as you avoid my room type and don't have the misfortune of waiting for your room like I did, everything else should be fine.

TianyuanxiaoyumiA really nice downtown hotel. The front desk staff were super helpful, and they even welcomed us with flower pastries. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Breakfast was incredibly varied, and they even offered a late-night snack! Their rice noodles were just as good, if not better, than what you'd find outside. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir, which was a lovely touch!

Book @Our first stop on our Yunnan trip was Kunming, and we chose a five-star hotel near the city center. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff who guided us in, and the ladies at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even thoughtfully prepared toiletries specifically for our child, which was a very nice touch. The hotel itself is grand and impressive, and the breakfast buffet was even more so, with staff on hand to recommend dishes – truly delicious! What really surprised us was the gym; it's fully equipped, comparable to a dedicated fitness center, and they even provide towels. Working out there felt amazing afterwards! This level of facilities is something homestays just can't compete with... (The only minor downside was the slow internet speed, both Wi-Fi and 5G).

DaixiaozhuThe healing journey begins at the hotel and culminates in the gentle kindness brought by Heidi. Heidi, the duty manager, was exceptionally thoughtful. She proactively helped coordinate a room upgrade, and upon learning about my travel needs, she offered an additional breakfast and executive lounge access. She arranged a smoke-free, high-floor room overlooking Dianchi Lake for a better view, and her meticulous arrangements truly eased my travel fatigue.
Heidi's demeanor was gentle and graceful, and she handled matters with patience and professionalism. Every request was addressed thoroughly; her professionalism and sincerity shone through in every small detail. As a Sofitel in Kunming, the hotel perfectly blends French elegance with local Yunnan charm. The lobby features Yunnan-specific floral art and ethnic soft furnishings, creating a unique romantic and luxurious design. The guest rooms offer a comfortable and relaxing stay, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the lake and mountains of Dianchi. The executive lounge boasts excellent views, and the snacks and drinks are exquisite and high-quality. Breakfast combines French pastries with authentic Yunnan rice noodles and flower cakes, offering a wide variety and delicious flavors. Both the hardware and service are truly worth savoring.
Walking around the hotel, one can glimpse the brand's unique French romance everywhere, complemented by the spiritual lake views unique to the 'Spring City.' Both the facilities and services exude style and warmth. Whether gazing at the misty Dianchi Lake from the window or enjoying a drink in the executive lounge, you can feel Sofitel's exclusive aesthetic of sophisticated travel. Heidi's meticulous and thoughtful service perfectly balanced the rush of travel, adding a human touch to a luxurious stay.
The entire stay was leisurely and pleasant, precisely because of Heidi's attentive and personalized care, which made this stay full of surprises and warmth. When I return to this area in the future, this hotel will still be my first choice, and I once again express my gratitude to the gentle and dedicated Heidi.

Lijuan ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

Kai_huFacilities: The hotel is very new, and getting it for around 600 during the peak summer holiday season is incredible value for money! It shares a gym, pool, and Chinese restaurant with the Shangri-La next door, which costs 2500.
Service: There's a doorman to open doors and help with luggage, truly a five-star setup. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time I'm in Kunming.
