The hotel in Kunming turned out even better than we could have imagined. It exceeded all expectations — and that’s not just a figure of speech. The service makes you feel welcome from the very first minute: the staff are attentive, courteous, and ready to help with anything. You can feel genuine care. The rooms are a pleasure in themselves. Everything is new, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated. You can see that the designer put their soul into it: every detail is in its place, everything is beautifully and harmoniously styled. The hotel is excellently equipped, and the amenities are top-notch. We had several surprises. The staff gave us flowers and tea — it was unexpected and very warm. Then they delighted us with afternoon tea. Later they offered us a late dinner. Everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We were genuinely surprised by such attention. Another plus is the beautiful view and the warm pool — a great place to relax. Overall, the impressions are the best. We liked everything very much, and I confidently recommend this hotel.

This hotel was absolute perfection and the highlight of our trip to Kunming! An otherworldly, dream of a hotel ✨✨✨ If ten is out of ten, I’d give them a hundred. Truly, the service was so thoughtful and beyond satisfying. At any moment, as long as it was within their power, they would cater to our every need. Plus, the hotel is filled with fresh flowers everywhere 💐. Great for photo ops and an absolute mood booster. Usually, the complimentary tea provided by hotels is terrible, but the tea in their room was actually delicious. The afternoon tea and dinner were also fantastic. If you can hold out until 8 PM for dinner, you won't even need to go outside—they have grilled squid, rice noodles, barbecue skewers, and little side dishes. The breakfast was also super lavish! If I were hosting VIP guests from abroad, bringing them to stay here would guarantee an extremely high level of satisfaction. Granted, having gotten used to brand-new hotels, the rooms aren't the newest, but it is undoubtedly up to five-star hotel standards. The shower was so comfortable to use. And the complimentary basket of flowers was exceptionally gorgeous. Thank you for making my trip to Kunming so wonderful!

Such a pleasant surprise! We were given a free upgrade to a suite upon check-in, which was absolute bliss ✨ The room is very spacious, with a comfortable layout, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, with great attention to detail. The overall experience exceeded expectations, and the value for money is unbeatable. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my layover in Kunming. Highly recommended!!

I had a very pleasant stay at Dianyu Yunjing. It's perfect for a road trip. There are dedicated parking spaces in both the above-ground and underground car parks. The hotel is serene and quiet, with a swimming pool. The room was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk staff were all very kind and attentive, patiently answering any questions. You can experience sound bowl healing, and the room comes with an aroma diffuser. The hotel's theme scent is citrus. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the afternoon tea was also exquisite. The outdoor corridor of the restaurant was very cool; you'll need a jacket in the mornings and evenings. The location is excellent. It's not far from Green Lake, the Old Street, Dianchi Lake, and Zhuanxin Farmers Market. For dining, there are many Yunnan restaurants and rice noodle shops about 1-1.5 km away, and the prices are very reasonable. There's a very quiet park near the hotel. I'll choose this place again on my next visit to Kunming; it's my top pick for self-driving.

What impressed me most about this hotel was the excellent service; it's rare to find a place where everyone's service is top-notch. The hotel's hot springs are superb, and the private bath was so comfortable. Having a private bath twice a day meant there was no need to visit the public ones. Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it was unique and delicious. I especially want to commend the butlers; they truly put the guests first, were proactive, and acted swiftly! One rainy night, a butler helped an elderly person down the mountain, showing complete dedication and meticulous care throughout. I'm incredibly grateful! All in all, this is a hotel that makes you want to return again and again!

Five-star review for Atour Hotel Kunming Cuihu! The location is superb, within easy walking distance to Cuihu Lake and Wenlin Street. The front desk service was excellent, and the late check-out was handled smoothly, giving me more flexibility with my schedule. The self-service laundry room is always a top priority when I travel; the washer-dryer combo is so convenient. I especially want to highlight the bedding – the pillows were far more comfortable than many five-star hotels, with just the right amount of support. The room was well-soundproofed, ensuring a great night's sleep every night. The room was clean and hygienic, and overall, it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Kunming next time!

Pretty good! It's less than a 15-minute drive to the airport, and they offer airport shuttle service. The best part is the amazing food nearby. Every time I used to fly into Changshui Airport, I'd stay at hotels right next to it where there was nothing to eat or drink. This time, I finally remembered to find a place with some life around it. The Cross-the-Bridge Rice Noodles restaurant near the hotel is absolutely delicious and open 24/7, so you can get a bite anytime. Anyone staying here has to try it!

We are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.) Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

This hotel is incredibly convenient for catching high-speed trains or using the subway. There are plenty of snack options nearby, and directly opposite the hotel is Bailongtan Park, which offers beautiful scenery and fresh air—perfect for an evening stroll after dinner. The service was excellent; they even helped us with our luggage because we had so much, and they recommended a fantastic mushroom hotpot restaurant. The room's cleanliness was exceptional, truly exceeding our expectations. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely choose this place again if we have the chance!

The room is pretty decent and big. There's just a bit of noise as the room I got is next to a room being renovated, but it is only during the daytime. The best thing for me aside from the beautiful view, big room, and big bed is the smart toilet (I specifically check for places with bidet for my stays, and this place got a high-tech one). The hotel and cold water are also great. I appreciate that the toilet, sink, and shower are separate. The staff are all kind and helpful. I got an issue with my DiDi account and need to book one for my scheduled tour, and the staff on duty gladly helped me book one paying for it and said I could just settle the payment later, and even escorted me to the DiDi and let the driver know I don't speak the language and to get me safely to the location. The other staff also helped me with my WeChat, which helped a lot during my whole stay in China. The only con that I can say (if you are specific with location) is that it is not that close with the usual tourist spots like the Kunming Old Street, but it is close to the South Railway station (Kunmingnan). This is not a big con for me as I actually enjoyed the nearby malls and alleys. This is one of the good stuff here as well. It is on top of a mall, and just across the place is also a place to go shopping (for clothes, food, restaurants). There's a big supermarket/department store in the next door mall too. It also gets lively at night. Overall, personally, I find this a great place to stay in Kunming.
