"Our room was located in the Casa Rosa apartment, which is a separate building from the hotel. We loved our room's balcony that directly overlooked the lake, but it was located up 3 flights of stairs -- quite a climb with heavy luggage. The breakfast buffet was delicious -- especially the muesli. Be sure to make a reservation for the hotel's restaurant (La Vista restaurant). We had the 4-course menu and the food was amazing."

Best to buy the day pass for 17.5 Euro for unlimited rides between Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio. Rooms here nice with powerful shower, luxury robes, slippers, and flat screen TV inside and outdoor balcony over water. Accommodating staff at check in, helpful porter and housekeeping. Allow Isabella to show you your room and explain the ferry fares. Enjoy the vista as the Lake shimmers and shines."
