Macau Hotel Guide

Macau has multiple luxury hotel resorts clustered in the Cotai Strip and the most complete Western-style ancient buildings in the region. Macau consists of the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane, and Cotai. The Macau Peninsula is located at the northernmost point of Macau and is mainly residential area. Many of Macau’s attractions are in this area, such as the Ruins of St. Paul's, the Macau Tower, and Casino Lisboa. Taipa is located on the southern part of Macau Peninsula, and it buildings feature Portuguese style architecture. The main attractions in this area include Rua do Cunha, University of Macau, and the Macau Jockey Club. Coloane Island is located at the southernmost point of Macau. The terrain on the island is uneven and preserves most of the natural scenery of Macau. The Hac Sa Beach in the southeast of the island is the largest natural sea bath in Macau which attracts many visitors at any given time. Cotai is located between Taipa Island and Coloane and was originally part of the ocean. Later, land reclamation allowed the area to become the way it is now. Cotai has multiple hotels and resorts in Macau that brings together famous entertainment facilities such as the Venetian Macau, the City of Dreams, Sands Cotai Central and, Galaxy Macau.

Macau is a small city with limited land. Visitors can usually cover Macau's monuments, resorts, and outlying islands in a matter of a few days.
