#Coffin Bay National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
South Australia's most special coastal scenery.
Ancient granite cliffs, long beaches covered with white sand, rugged sea otters, limestone cliffs and islands carved out by the Southern Ocean and the southwest monsoon.
There are also a lot of wild animals in the national parks. If you are lucky, you can see them in the natural environment.
Location: The Coffin Bay National Park
I would like to call the Eyre Peninsula the South Australian version of 'Shangri-La'
🌊 The Eyre Peninsula is known for its ruggedly beautiful coastline and pleasant beaches. The scenery here is like a magnificent painting: blue skies and white clouds, clear waters and white sands, romantic pink lakes, the Sky Realm, and magical boulders, all of which are breathtaking. Trust me, in the hustle and bustle of life, there must be such a place where one can relax and resonate with nature!
✅ Must-visit attractions on the Eyre Peninsula:
📍Coffin Bay National Park
Coffin Bay National Park, which boasts the extended coastline of the Eyre Peninsula, is not only a pilgrimage site for water sports enthusiasts but also an ideal place for relaxation. Here, the rocks echo the azure waves, and when the sunlight sprinkles on the sea, the waves shimmer with golden light under the reflection, making the entire coastline glitter like a mermaid's dwelling~ Strolling on the beach, feeling the sea breeze. Whether it's the brilliant light and shadow at sunrise or the soft afterglow at sunset, it's all incredibly beautiful!
📍Lincoln National Park
Lincoln National Park covers an area of 216 square kilometers, encompassing steep cliffs, winding bays, dunes, pristine white sandy beaches, and various camping facilities, making it an excellent destination for travel and adventure!
Memory Bay, shining like a gem, is located here. With its soft sandy beaches and blue sea, worries seem to drift away with the waves. True to its name, it's unforgettable at first sight. However, Memory Bay is a protected area, and only 15 vehicles are allowed in per day, so be sure to apply for a permit at the visitor center in advance.
📍Lake MacDonnell
Finally, I get to write about my favorite spot! Lake MacDonnell is one of South Australia's most beautiful pink salt lakes. Driving on the embankment, one side of the lake is pink, the other side is emerald green, and further down the bridge is the blue lake water, forming a stunning tri-color lake. Here, it's as if you're in a world interwoven with fairy tales and dreams. Trust me, don't miss this place; you'll be able to take countless life photos!
📍Lake Gairdner
If there's any place that can rival Lake MacDonnell, it must be Lake Gairdner!
Lake Gairdner stretches unbounded into the distance, with a vast horizon as if there is no end. The red sand dunes echo the glittering lake surface, and just by standing or sitting here, one can feel infinitely relaxed. When it rains, the lake surface becomes like a giant mirror, clearly reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, hence the nickname 'South Australia's Sky Realm'.
There are so many beautiful sights that, in addition to the above attractions, there are ancient stone formations like Murphy’s Haystacks, the spectacular natural Talia Caves, and secluded Greenly Beach surrounded by cliffs... To truly experience everything in one go, a few days would definitely not be enough!
❤️ The more I talk about the Eyre Peninsula, the more I want to go again! If you also want to start exploring a new travel map, this is really a niche and treasure-filled place~
In the trip to the Eyre Peninsula, the expectation is no more than the oyster farm in Covent Bay. Coffin Bay, the name of the world's seafood diners, is synonymous with top oysters.
The best way to eat oysters is to enjoy it within 20 minutes after opening the shell. The sweetness of the meat is brought to the savory taste of the sea itself, and the taste of the ingredients itself is maximized. And we, but it took 1 minute.
On the last day of the Eyre Peninsula, I went to Coventry Bay National Park. The car, along the dense forest road, has been rushing from the bushes from time to time.
The end of the road, the eyes suddenly open, it is the charming blue, deep and shallow, layered, changing colors. The sea of Australia is so beautiful that it has never lived up to it.
I am alone, walking along the long sandy beach, wanting to see the other side of the reef, hiding what kind of heaven and earth. On the other side of the sea, it is still the sea, just met the Michael family fishing. A car, a dog, two people who love each other, so simple and pure happiness, envy.
Michael said that this is one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, with groups of dolphins chasing the shore in the summer. Still regretting the winter at the moment, I have to lose my hand. When bidding farewell, the dark shadows of the waves were present, and a large group of dolphins chased the waves and played.
Coffin Bay National Park
The most spectacular coastal scenery in South Australia, from the ancient granite, limestone and sandstone cliffs to the long white sand beach, the leeward side is a safe swimming beach and strolling area . It is said that there are wild animals such as gray kangaroos, dragonflies, monitor lizards, bay snakes and dolphins, but we have not encountered one, and it is estimated that they are hiding during the day, but the contrast between the two sides of the sea is still very obvious, the windward side Its really blowing people all the time, taking pictures is a pose, because the hat is gone, haha
By contrast, Yangie Bay in Inner Bay is much gentler, locals camp here. You can also take a boat for a 3km-8km water trip.
National Park is open all day, but pay attention to the way tickets are paid! If you are not camping, each car costs AUD 10 per day. You need to pay in advance on the official website of the Australian National Parks Tourism Bureau. The website is parks.sa.gov.au. After you go in, you can find the corresponding national park name and enter your credit card information. Now, we arrived and found that we can't buy tickets by sending cash to the mailbox. Therefore, we will receive the return mail soon after we temporarily pay online.
If you are not good at online operations, you can pay at the address of the last picture.
Coventry Bay in South Australia is home to the world's top oysters, and because of its unique location and strict quality assurance system, Covent Bay is the representative of top quality ingredients.
At the oyster farm here, you can taste the freshest delicious food that is salvaged in the early morning. The oysters that have just been picked up are opened immediately, swallowed in one bite, as if you tasted the taste of the whole ocean, the taste of the sweet water and the green The taste of seaweed sets off the succulent fleshy sweet and crisp, which makes you instantly magical, as if the whole person has become clean.
Come to Coventry Bay, you must not miss the trip to the oyster farm, which is why Huang Xiaoming has come to experience it.
There is a trip to the sea to see the sea and the sky, and the amazing top oyster tasting. Follow the farmer into the farm, the sea is over the knees, we are excited to wait for the farmer to fish from the sea, and let us eat!
Coventry Bay is still a virgin land for few tourists, so there are very few hotels, all of which are concentrated in the Port of Lincoln, and you can try the motel in Coventry Bay, which is the best for self-driving people.
We stayed close to the beach and can drive to a nice beach to watch the sunset in two minutes. Coventry Bay National Park has the most special coastal scenery in South Australia.
The scenery from the ancient granite, limestone and sandstone cliffs to the long beach covered with white sand is very spectacular.
Drive into the park in the country and discover that the scenery here has a shocking contrast. The peninsula without natural barriers is covered with rugged sea otters, limestone cliffs and islands carved by the Southern Ocean and the southwest monsoon. The view from the leeward side is calmer and has a safe swimming beach. I see many surfers here from time to time, and even see dolphins surfing!
The park is rich in wild animals, western gray kangaroos, donkeys and dolphins. It is said that there are about 150 different species of wild birds.
See the introduction and even catch Australian squid at Almonta Beach!
